I went to this location for a sit down dinner with one of my friends, we were planning on being there for a bit to have a conversation. We were promptly seated at a small table and brought bread with their dipping sauce(one of my favorites!) I had been feeling a bit ill so I didn’t want to eat anything heavy so I decided on a minestrone soup. The server who was an older maybe Hispanic gentleman with glasses(don’t remember his name) came by and asked what we wanted to order, my friend didn’t want to eat anything because it was still a bit early and I ordered the Minestrone Soup. As the server was walking away he went to speak to another server and audibly said«Oh great… she just wants a minestrone soup, that’s wonderful»(in a sarcastic manner) which made me feel like he felt that I was wasting his time by even bothering to order soup. He continued to make this comment to 2 more people, including the manager(who I have seen before) and seemed annoyed because maybe he felt like he wasn’t making any money off of our table! He brought me the soup and didn’t care to say anything and I said thank you. We were there for a while and the whole time I was just so upset by his comment. There were more people that came in during the dinner«rush» where more ¼ of the restaurant was still empty. My friend and I had some stuff to talk about and it was raining outside so we just sat at our small table. At certain points I would spot him CLEARLY pointing to our table and making comments that we had been sitting there for a while and that we hadn’t eaten anything(we HAD eaten as much as we would have liked). He even made more comments about us taking up room and not getting anything in Spanish(in ear shot of me) because he thought we wouldn’t understand, but I can actually understand a good amount because I’ve lived in the Bay Area my whole life. We weren’t taking up a table that they needed, because there were plenty of empty and open tables. I will say that my soup was OK, nothing that I will rave about. But they really need to get this guy to work on his customer service skills because I still ended up leaving him a tip, but by treating his customers like that he’s just hurting the restaurant(especially since they rely on so much repeat business because of the secluded location) because I for sure am never going back there again!

Pros: Service: this is my favorite pasta pomodoro location because of the service. The servers and hostess are more welcoming. One of the waiters that has been serving there for years is always cheerful and he always has a positive attitude. Food: I dined at this locations many times and I have never had an issue with their food. It always comes out freshly made. I also love how they have a variety pasta sauces from light to heavy. Their pesto sauce is highly recommended. Outdoor seating: I also adore this location because of their outdoor seating that’s located next to a mini garden. They also have heat lamps if it becomes too cold outdoors. Cons: Wait time: although the service is great, the wait time to get your order in and for it to come out is a bit lengthy. I’ve had this issue whether I’m dining on a dead and busy night.

The pasta was very dry, I got the build your own pasta, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The pink lemonade was nasty. And the server was very rude, she interrupted my conversation and asked to pay because her shift was almost over. And beware when you pay they include their own tip already. I was not aware and payed $ 20 of tip plus the side tip I left because they did not tell me it was already included, and they couldn’t give me my money back when I went to complain about it because I payed cash. I’m never going there again.

I call this place the jewel of SJ/Evergreen Valley. Their attention to details from salads to main course is outstanding, and also the organic approach to what they prepare and serve. It’s not cheap but it won’t kill you if you’re up for some little drive and good Italian food without all the«authentic Italian blah blah blah». Enjoy!

My family and I ate here tonite. A couple came on to the patio with 2 big dogs. Four employees went right out and started playing with the dogs. They all came back in and not one of the washed their hands. In fact one girl went right to the food window and started picking things up. I did see her pick up a towel and wipe her hands then put it right back down. I complained to a waiter there because I think she was a manager. I will never eat there again. Disgusting!

For being my first experience, it was a pleasant and delicious experience. I came in with the Hubby and one of my little ones. It is still kid friendly despite all the wine everywhere. We ate at 2:30 so we were pretty much the only ones in the there! For this reason I can say we had pretty good customer service since we were the only ones needing attention. The waitress recommended the Gemelli Pasta(had two types of cooked chicken, sun-dried tomatoes and yummy flavor!). It was delicious and I had to take half home because it was a good sized portion. The restaurant is cute and nicely dimmed for ambiance. They also have an outdoor patio dining area which seems great for evening dining with the girls! It is a bit costly. But worth it for a once in a while dining. For two adults and one child it was going to be approx $ 45. Tuesday’s happen to be free for kids! So we were like, «even better!» LoL … So before tip it came out to $ 37.48 … So basically it was almost $ 38 for two of us. On a regular basis this will add up, but to get a PASTAFIX, I’ll come back for sure! Overall, we came… we ate… we left happy!

This review will be somewhat on the food, but I mostly want to praise one of the waiters for the outstanding service he provided. First the food was very good. I had the Ravioli Pomodoro with grilled chicken and was pretty good my only critique is about their Pomodoro sauce; it’s a little bland. If you get this dish see if they can substitute with the vodka sauce or Alfredo sauce which I plan to do next time. As for the service I received, it was outstanding; my waiter Patrick was very friendly and attentive. He was prompt and offered great suggestions. Patrick surpassed my expectations of service and I will definitely be back!

I used to frequent this place when I was in high school and thought it was a top notch place. My palate has since evolved, and my eyes have now been opened to the sub-par nature of the food here. Conveniently located in the evergreen shopping plaza, Pasta Pomodoro builds the illusion of a classy night out. The dining room and outdoor patio are decent, and the waitstaff professional. However, the food makes you wish you decided on Olive Garden for your pasta night out. I really enjoy the bread and olive oil/balsamic they give; but thats about it. I had the gemelli and my boyfriend had the penne al la vodka. His dish was practically flavorless, he is not a picky person and will say he enjoys most things, this was not one of them. My Gemelli(a favorite of mine in high school) was bland, sauce-less, and overall not so good. Has Pasta P always been this bad? I’d really like to know, but for now I dont think i’d be giving this place another shot anytime soon.

We typically dine here as a family, and we always request Jake as our server. Whenever Jake is present, our experience at Pasta P is always great. For this review, I will rate my experience in placing a take out order, and the quality of the entre’. I ordered the Salmon Cannellini, however I subsitute the cannellini beans and baby kale with spinach and wheat fusili pasta. From the time I placed my order, it took around 20 minutes for it to be completed. The salmon was a little over cooked, so it was 70% dry, with a couple of moist portions. The pasta was cooked well, and the pesto sauce and spinach were also on point. This dish is one of their higher priced entrees at $ 17. Based on the portion given, I’d say it is a little over priced. In the Evergreen area there is really only 2 Italian/pasta places to choose from. In my opinion Pasta P is a good place to hit if you are in the mood for decent pasta.

Never will I step foot in this restaurant. My family and I went to have dinner to celebrate a bday and we had a party of 17. The manager on duty Marco has the worse customer service skills ever. He wanted to split our party on 2 separate tables, he was not interested in trying to sit us all together. He basically said this is what I can offer and that is it, he should of just said«TAKEITORLEAVEIT»!!! I suggest that upper management should send Marco to take a course on how to treat customers or you will continue to lose out on money. HIRE A MANAGERTHATCARES!!!

Not the best place for vegans. After asking the waitress about vegan options, she said that everything has milk or eggs in it, even pastas. That limited our option to a mash-up of overcooked farro, pomodoro sauce with awful oily veggies. Yeah, not the best place for vegans…

It’s a Pasta Pomodoro. As a place to duck in and have a quick meal, it’s not bad. Good specials on occasion. Lots of mid-priced, mid-quality wines which the servers didn’t seem to be very knowledgeable about. Still, a little pricey for what you get but better than Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill.

HORRIBLEHORRIBLEHORRIBLE!!! I had called over the phone for a pick up order, I am always very specific when I eat anywhere that I do not eat meat so I asked them to substitute any meat in my dish to salmon because I don’t eat meat. I get home hungry and start to eat when I taste something disgusting, I call immediately and am told that the dish I had is made wish sausage and they left it in my plate! I feel horribly sick now and disgusted that they would do that. If I could give them no stars I would! I used to come here all the time, NEVERCOMINGBACKAGAIN!

Pasta P. doesn’t disappoint if you’re looking for a pasta fix. Been going here for years now and even when I moved away, the smell when you enter is pretty much the same but I’ve noticed the menu has slightly changed with the price going up a few bucks. This location is very quaint where you can choose to sit indoors(close tables/booths) or outdoors(vineyard’esque). It’s not a formal place so you can come here with a family but it can also be a great date place. They start you off with complimentary bread with pesto. When I usually order appetizers it’s usually the bruschetta but the main reason why I go here is to get full off their main dishes. My go to’s are the tortellini, penne Portobello, gemeli, and chicken parmigiana. All are filled with flavor and generous in portion. Service is here is a hit a miss but usually it’s average, but overall I’d still return to this place for my craving pasta to be satisfied.

********************* 1214 ********************** I took my niece here during the Thanksgiving week for lunch. She was excited to try a new place. We waited past 1PM, so that it wouldn’t be busy. We came in an empty restaurant at about 1:30PM. She didn’t bother to say hello. We asked if we could sit at the bar. The hostess wasn’t smile the entire time. We had to wait for 15 minutes to get our order taken and another 20 minutes before the food arrive. It was 1:30PM, with only 2 other tables there which one was about to pay out for the bill. — Bruschetta — small size was OK. — Frutti di Mare — spaghetti with P.E.I. mussels, manila clams, gulf shrimp, calamari and garlic in a light tomato sauce — the pasta was overcooked. The portion was generous. — Capellini — pomodoro sauce with fresh garlic, basil and extra virgin olive oil or basil pesto with shaved pecorino — the angel hair was over cooked, over sauce, and sloppily served. Disappointed dish. See photo. Our server tried to save the day, once he saw me paid by cash. So sad, it wasn’t even busy and the service was this bad and slow. I understand people have a bad day, but this was just bad service! The only good thing was that I was with my niece, and there is the reason why I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving week.
