Came in here to get a Pepsi but left with a burrito and was like OMG! It was the best burrito I’ve had in San Jose since I moved here almost three years ago. I can’t wait to go back. Give it a try! Hidden gem for sure.

Love their burritos! My boyfriend and I have been going here for years. Yeah it’s a taqueria in a liquor store but give it a try. Definitely better than Iguanas & that Chipotle nonsense. Plus one more star for the lady remembering our usual order(;

I dropped in since I was around the area and figured I’d drop in for a quick lunch and my cousin /friend said this place had pretty good Mexican Food. I wasn’t impressed at all with the dryness of the tortilla and torta. Flavor was a little lacking, but not completely bland. It would have tasted okay had the torta included some mayo and the tortillas for the tacos been fried with some butter or grease, the way authentic street tacos are made. I could say I would give them another chance but I highly doubt it =/

A hidden gem. Really good Mexican food at reasonable prices AND cold beer! I’m usually highly suspicious of liquor store food but this is high quality stuff.

I must say, I was really really surprised by the tacos here. Yes, they are served in a liquor store, but that honestly makes it that much better! First off, the meats are delicious, and not the run of the mill meats. They got the real meats, those that make lesser men squeal. But I love them. Small street tacos are $ 1.39, one of the cheapest I have found yet in San Jose. The amount of meat is not skimped, and they are just thick pieces of delicious protein goodness. Lengua, chicharon, and chile verde! Also, the salsa… is hot! Not unbearable, but there’s a kick — especially if you didn’t expect it. Love it, a filling and tasty meal for less than $ 5. Private lot on the side and street residential parking around. $ 5 min for credit cards.

Stadium Liquors reminds me of my childhood. I grew up on 8th street and moved just blocks away to 6th street for my high school years. I imagine my dad afterwork picking up a chile verde burrito and a Budweiser and I remember cashing my first paychecks from Mr. Rags at the check cashing window in the back. When I was little I didn’t view where we lived as a neighborhood because it was much different than the insular suburban neighborhoods of outlying San Jose where there were a dozen kids on each block. There are many times I wonder what it would be like had I grown up somewhere else but those thoughts are largely inconsequential.

I never thought I’d find the taco of my life in a liquor store. Other goodies, of course, but a taco? The taqueria inside is just magical. In my search for the best taco al pastor in the Silicon Valley, I measure any new finds against this hidden gem. Just a perfect mixture of sweetness with a picante kick. The pastor is of the perfect consistency, and is a treat in a taco, a burrito or a torta. The prices are great – less than $ 5 for a large burrito – and the food is some of the best in the area. And, since you’re in a liquor store, you can always pick up a bottle of tequila or some cerveza to go with your meal! UPDATED: The last couple times I’ve been here, the meat has been real tough. And since I’ve been on my adventure for the perfect taco, I’ve widened the pool in which to place all taquerias. So, I’m taking away a star from Stadium Liquors. It’s still really good, but it’s not the best.

Cool little liquor store. I love it when I can go into a random liquor store and discover that they serve up some good burritos. I’m loving the barbacoa and chile verde. It’s a two way tie. I pick up a pineapple Fanta, and I’m out! Make sure to check out BP bakery next door!
