Classic Burger

Really tasty Burgers. Typical condiments and nothing fancy. Dining area is just ok. Really, not a bad place for a tiny strip mall. Small menu.

This place is in a little strip mall off a major road. Not sure I would ever have stopped for it had it not been for Unilocal and my preggers friend crazing a burger. ah. but wait.
It was totally worth it– it’s a simple place, sort of a clean dive, sort of thrown together BUT the burgers… SO GOOD!
No grease, just good. I just had the regular cheese burger — you don’t go here if you want a fancy burger. No this is just a plain olé good burger, no frills, though they do have bacon.
The fries were likely frozen, but sorry… I like that kind of fry. Again, though, no grease.
Really happy to have stopped in.
I suspect it’s a mom and pop place. It wasn’t very busy through the lunch hour.

Mmmmm, Classic Burger!!! My go-​to: a juicy burger mixed with pastrami and topped with bacon with a side of onion rings. Everything just tastes so friggin perfect it’s unbelievable. The char on the burger makes it so juicy and delectable — one of the best burgers around. Highly recommend!

The lady that took our order wasn’t very nice to us. However, everyone who was picking up their food was greeted warmly and thanked multiple times. We didn’t get that treatment.
We waited for our two burgers, an order of fries and order of onion rings for over 30 minutes. We were one of two other tables there. It appeared to us that most of their business is phoned in for «to go». That makes sense because they are very slow. It is a mom and pop place which we like but they seem to need more help on a Saturday night.
Our burgers were good and the onion rings superb.
Would have given it another star if we were greeted better AND if it didn’t take so long for our food.

Really upset with the lady that runs the front she ripped me off and she knows it… I loved the food the last two times I went so I decided to bring my family… my husband asked for a cheeseburger combo (6.99 plus 40 cents for cheese) plus add bacon (1.49) I asked for a regular cheeseburger combo and my daughter a Jr cheese burger plain and a bag of chips (which the box says 75 cents but she charged me 1.50). First off my food came out to 22 $ not including the fries and drink I had to add cause her mistake I should have known when she replied with only one drink at the time it didn’t click but then it did wait… we both ordered a combo I told her and she said well I only charged you for one combo how is that if a bacon cheeseburger is 4.89 I asked for a receipt and kinda got attitude from her when I asked for explanation of the cost she points to the charges she charged me for the bacon cheeseburger then charged me for cheese again wtf then the 1.50 for the chips as I mentioned above then 2.59 for a Jr cheeseburger then the cost of cheese for that yet the menu said Jr hamburger 239 and Jr cheese 259… then she rang me up for another sods as we originally asked for that was another 1.59 and 2.19 for fries this is so bull@@@@ … 4.02 more after tax so ended up paying 26 $ when should have been 22 total… never again then she gave us our food 31 mins after ordering and gave people food who came in 12 mins after us their food first I wanted to choke her so bad let’s not mention my burger was raw

I really like this hole in the wall place. Reminds me of some places when I grew up in San Fran back in the 80’s. This place make a very good burger, its clean nice owners. Looks like a husband and wife team. Keep it up! I drove down from Castro Valley for this !! Two thumbs up!

Great Burgers! Charbroiled and I’m pretty sure there Meat comes from Delmonte in Oakland. Everything else they sell is Tasty as well. Sometimes the Pastrami is a bit tuff but it’s only happened to me a couple times. My usual is a Bacon, Mushroom, pastrami, and Swiss Burger. It’s not on the menu but they will make it for you. It’s a little bit more in price but worth every cent. Fries and a Shake and your set. Great Family that owns the place!

7.35 $ for BACON CHEESEBURGER AND FRIES! Amazing at this quality. What a deal! love this place, the owners are so cute and sweet. The food is outstanding lots of TLC from the cook. his grill is always clean, when theyre not cooking, theyre cleaning! each sandwich and burger is made to a T. Old school place with a mighty tasty menu. I couldn’t rave enough! Enjoy this location for low priced delicious choices, not to mention they have a TV take a seat and eat in peace. Thank you Classic Burger for being amazing, I love you guys! Keep it up you are appreciated!

Usually I’m in a hurry to write a review but this time I really took my time. Thought Sam’s Burger was so great… loved the drive-​through effect and all… I’ve gone to Val’s burgers but I have to say this is one of best over all burger joints I’ve been too so far in the Hayward/​Castro/​San Lorenzo Valley. Plenty of Parking and they accept Credit Cards — unlike Vals which is a huge inconvenience. And unlike Sam’s on Hesperian… they’re consistent with their burger’s taste and presentation. Never have I gone here and gotten a burger I didn’t like. The take the to really season their meat. The burger is never overally messy and I love that. If you want an overall pleasant experience… come to Classic Burger. I can almost be certain that you would not have a bad experience. Great service, nice establishment and great burgers and shakes!!!

I love classic burger. This is my favorite restaurant for burgers. They have never disappointed me. The burgers have such a clean taste and flavors are on point. I always get the original classic burger which has pastrami in it and it’s my favorite. Their fries and shakes are good as well. Especially their shakes. Super creamy and thick. You can taste the fresh ingredients in it. This is my go to place for my burger cravings. Always delicious.

Great burger joint. Its a cant go wrong type of place. Anyone I have taken here loves it. The mushroom burger with grilled onions is my go to but the chicken philly and even hot dogs amaze me every time I have one.
Its family owned and ran so if your a regular they probably know you by name.

One of my all time favorite places to eat. Worth the drive from the Contra Costa County to eat here. I also always make sure to stop by if I’m in there area. Excellent customer service by the couple/​family who owns this restaurant especially their lovely daughter who takes my order and always makes sure my order is correct. They always ensure your food is fresh and you are satisfied. Very nice restaurant and people and they really care about their customers.
My all time favorite is their Philly cheese steak sandwich with onion rings. Can never go wrong with that. It’s hard to find places that make your food with love and this place def meets all expectations. A must try if you haven’t been here before! You won’t be disappointed.

You can’t go wrong here! I’ve been eating here with my Dad for probably 17+ years. We always order the exact same thing and it comes out perfect– cheeseburger with grilled onions and french fries. Their prices are a little less than in and out down the street, plus the burger is about double the size

I am in love with this place and my family and I have been eating here for a few years now. A quaint little family run restaurant that serves a variety of burgers, fries, onion rings and some other sandwiches such as pastrami, seafood and hotdogs.
All food is made right before you, even orders of fries and onion rings are made in personal batches so nothing sits around waiting for someone to order it.
Definitely one of my fave places to grab a philly and some onion rings!

It’s your classic, hole-​in-​the-​wall local burger joint.
I’ve always loved their thick-​cut steak fries, and usually get their cheeseburgers but this last time that I went for nostalgia’s sake, I snagged their hot pastrami sandwich. It was pretty good, though a little bit on the dry side. Sadly, I was also not very hungry so I only ate about half of it.
Overall though, not a bad price for the amount that you get!

I love supporting small mom and pops restaurants, and this one is one of my favorites! I’ve never been to San Lorenzo, heck, I didn’t even know this was a city until my friend told me to visit him and his little town! Walking in, the restaurant is very diner like. We ordered at the counter, and the lady was so accommodating with helping us order since it was our first time. She also waved me off when my friend and I were fighting over who paid. She told me gentlemen should always pay, hah!
I ordered the Classic Burger (about $ 5), and it was cooked perfectly. Juicy and more than enough for me. We also got a side of fries, which was nice and crispy! Great meal if you’re craving burgers and fries.
