I hate to write this because I enjoy the convenience of the decent sushi to-go but I’ll take my business elsewhere after being accused of calling the wrong number for the wrong store(they have a couple stores in the San Luis Obispo area). First off, I apologize for calling the store in SLO thinking it was the one in 5 cities. I frequent both places because I work in SLO and I live in the Pismo area. After apologizing for calling the SLO store and picking up and paying for my order in Pismo, the person over the phone threatened in an extremely rude tone«You’ve done this multiple times calling the wrong store, you did it on Friday. Called the SLO store and picked up your order in Pismo…» If you’re going to accuse someone make sure YOULOOKATTHEELECTRONICRECEIPTWITHMYPAYMENT, &LOCATION on it to ensure that you are right(I have my email saved on their system so I receive all of them). I did call on Friday to the store in SLO and came to pick it up. Am I sure I went to the right one? Yes, because the girl with the short black hair had my order ready and below is the receipt with THELOCATIONONIT. So again, I apologize for calling the wrong store this time, my FIRST time ever doing so, however, make sure before you start yelling«we have your number on file for doing this multiple times…» that you check your OWNRECIPT that I’m sure you have on file with my number as well. So my first mistake will be my last. Thanks!

Came for lunch. Texas roll was great, miso soup was amazing and their exclusive house tea comes in a press. Adds a nice touch. I’m full, service was good and the space has a nice energy to it. Very clean and comfortable. Will be coming back.

Casual sushi spot. Wouldn’t be my first choice but decent for a quick stop in. Cucumber salad is good and fresh. Good supply of condiments for your meal. A little pricey for walk up service. I don’t order California rolls much but these were pretty good.

I really do love coming here and eating. But I was there two days ago and the lady working which I believe was the owner sounded very sick with a bad cough and she was serving food and working behind the register. Im currently now sick with a cough and have strep throat. I’m pretty upset about it since it’s a safety and health hazard and no one should be working if there sick and coughing.

The woman Who runs this place is the sweetest lady ever! Whenever we go here the rice is so fresh the rolls are so fresh, everything is so fresh and yummy we love it here! The dragon roll is our favorite! Also the ginger slaw salad that they give on the side is so yummy!

It’s not bad, but it’s not great either– it’s only okay/decent. I’ve had their food twice now and in the long run I think driving another mile or two into another Japanese restaurant is worth it. I ordered the CA + Beef Teriyaki Bowl combo the second time I came and was more or less disappointed with how it looked and how it tasted. First of all, don’t expect the food to look like what it does in the TV that they put out in the counter. My bowl didn’t look ANYTHING at all like the pictures. Secondly, the taste/flavor. Out of 5 stars, the quality and the taste of the food is a mere 2.5 stars, and that’s being nice. The meat, the crab, and the fish isn’t fresh, and the way my food was made seemed too fake. I have tried many other restaurants, and this one is definitely at the bottom of the list. Please do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere else.

The woman who works here could not be any sweeter. She even bowed to my mom when she gave her miso soup and said, «Happy thanksgiving». Her kindness really brightened our day and I wanted her to know. I love coming here not only for my favorite dragon roll but for the little bit of unexpected kindness.

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants! The service is always wonderful and it good food. It is always clean and The walls are decorated by the owners wife’s paintings. On my most recent visit I was treated to a song and free dish by one of the cooks. Both were wonderful! It is reasonably priced for sushi and if you don’t feel like fish I highly suggest the chicken udon.

The place is very nice. A mom n pop shop catered towards fast and quick food. Quality wise, food is decent. I got a bulgogi bowl and spicy tuna roll. The fish just doesnt taste fresh. Bulgogi isnt the bulgogi u see at korean bbq. I wouldn’t come back.

This place is a small gem! Never too busy and really nice staff! The sushi isn’t too overpriced and they have a wide selection. It’s not a «fancy» place, but if you’re craving such, I highly recommend it!

Take out/fast food style. Employees are really nice. Try and stick to simple things like udon, California rolls, cucumber rolls. Sushi with real fish is a maybe… And no to the Korean food on the menu. I am a repeat customer!

Love this place but felt so disappointed when arriving at 7:25 only being told that they don’t have any tempura and that the kitchen is closes down all frying at 7:30. Wait… I was here before 7:30. The door says that it closes at 8pm. Bruce the owner does a great job of hospitality but I am not sure his staff has the same values when he is not around. My daughters favorite thing is tempura. After the staff said that the oil was already gone, the cook walked by with the oil to dump. The order taker was being drenched with soapy water as one of the employees was dropping soapy water on the floor as I was ordering. Please close and then shut down everything! Shutting down the tempura early eliminates 11+ items from your menu. Come early if you want tempura.

Huge portion. I had the Texas Roll and it was delicious. Really great tasting sushi for a casual fast establishment.

Is it the best sushi I have ever had? No. Is it the fastest, best sushi for 3 under $ 35? ABSOLUTELY! Where else can you have a chandelier hang over your roll! Easy squeezy. Works every time.

I came here with my boyfriend after his training at the base. We were hungry for sushi. We got the Texas roll, dragon roll, salmon roll and the teriyaki bowl combo for 44 dollars. It was worth every penny. Our waiter gave excellent service. He was polite and very quick asking if we were fine with our food. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful. I loved the paintings and decorations. Overall the customer service and food was superb. I would recommend this place for sushi lovers.

Not the worse place at which we have eaten. Sushi roll was bland and unappetizing. I could not taste the fish. Teri bowls were good as was the bulgogi bowl. Poor girl upfront is taking orders, serving food, and busing tables. No ice in the drink machine and partially bused tables adds to the ambiance. One of the other«workers» decided that the dinner rush was a good time to take a break. Sitting at a dirty table with her friend, it did not occur to her to even try to clean the table she was at. Class act. Don’t come here unless you have plenty of time to kill. Take your food to go to avoid the odd décor and the lack of clean tables.

Probably one the worst places to get sushi. Very pricey for what you get and very low quality. The imitation crab meat is often warm and the meat in the teriyaki is fake and usually too gross to chew. I once called in an order and when I went to pick it up it wasn’t ready. When I had asked the waiter he realized that he hadn’t given the cook my order and told me to wait ten minutes. And that was after I had driven over and after a couple of people had already placed their orders. Really not cool.

I don’t know what happened to this place but they fell off deep! Two years ago this was my favorite spot for sushi. The dynamite roll was theeee bomb(2 years ago!) Customer service sucks! The server had no idea what she was doing! We waited for 40 mins just to get our miso soup! Long story short this place was hell for us! I could’ve picked Taco Bell over this place! Never going back again! Very disappointed
