They have great wine specials on weds. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo is my favorite. Never had a bad meal here.

Great lunch. Ordered their spring special of shrimp carbanara. We also ordered the baked mushrooms for an appetizer, excellent choice, so yummy. No wait, the servers and staff were all very nice and prompt.

I brought my family here and our servers name was Kristen. I never really write reviews on here, but my parents love going out to eat and it’s rare that they actually enjoy the service. My parents talked about how quick, attentive, and helpful Kristen was our whole way home. She knew what she was talking about in regards to the menu and made it simple to understand. Usually in a college town we have servers who either don’t really care about their customers or try way too hard by annoying us every 3 minutes, but Kristen did her job perfectly. My parents and I are planning to go back when they visit next! Great service!

This place for all the bowlers coming into town need not go there. Dinners are way too pricey the service sucks it takes 45+ minutes to get your meal besides waiting to get waited on. Your best bet is try red lobster few doors done bye Hampton motel. The bathroom larger and clean don’t need to worry about piss on the floor. It’s ran by kids

I go to Carino’s a lot for lunch. Me and the co-workers are getting really tired of the wait time just to get seated. It’s lunch hours and they only have a few waiters working so we have to wait atleast 20 minutes just for a table. There are very few customers in the restaurant during the lunch hour so I can’t and refuse to understand having to wait that long just to be seated. They have lunch specials and how can someone«working» have time to enjoy a nice lunch when it takes them 20 minutes just to get you seated. Wait for the server, order the meal and eat it all in an hour. It is not going to happen. The floor manager needs to figure something out or they need a new floor manager. UGH! Decent food but the waiters and waitresses are not friendly at all. Just sayin…

I’m updating my previous review, as I feel the issue was adequately addressed. My husband and I returned to Johnny Carino’s, at the behest of the manager who asked we give them another shot. We were promptly seated and promptly served. The drinks, appetizer, salads, and entrees were perfectly timed and were delicious. Our server was attentive while still giving us our privacy to enjoy our dinner. We didn’t mention that we’d had a negative experience the last time we had come in, so it’s not even as if our server was primed to pay special attention to us. Kristen just did her job and did it well. She was delightful. So, a wrong has been righted. Next time we’re in the mood for Italian we won’t waste our time driving to New Braunfels.

Ok so my first time here the food was horrible and service sucked. HOWEVER this experience I just had here surprised and delighted me above and beyond my expectations! Food was great and my server Armando was professional and upbeat. I’m glad I gave this place a second chance! If you ever go and Armando is working as your waiter be prepared to be treated like family! He was working multiple tables(one of which had 7 women alone) and not once did he forget about my fiancé and I.

I can’t understand why this place only has three stars. My husband and I opted for this after driving around for 2 hours trying to find somewhere to eat. Great food and good service here. The bar is amazing!

I usually rank places high as I give them the benefit of the doubt. I would have given 2 stars but on wednesdays it is half off a bottle of wine. thats a bump 1 star ha. The Italian chili I got was lukewarm and fairly poor. I got the Italian meatloaf. I wouldnt order it again.

Be careful with leaving your things here. I think my Ray/bans were stolen off the table when I forgot to put them in my purse. Manager wasn’t accommodating to my loss, didn’t offer to at least take my name and number down in case anyone returned them

Had their chicken parmesan, it was big and delicious. Great leftovers too. My husband wasn’t too found of their lasagna, was sort of dry. Their potato soup was amazing. Their staff was great they were very helpful and just amazing!

We come to Carino’s often. We love it here and enjoy the atmosphere, but this last time was most memorable. Pamela was our server. She provided by far the best experience we have ever had at a restaurant hands down. We will defiantly come back to see Pamela. We wouldn’t even mind waiting to sit in her section. I highly suggest asking for her to be your server.

Hubby and I stopped in on way home for an early dinner. Had wine, Devine. I had small order of Italian nachos and they were great! He had chicken and guess he enjoyed it as there was none left but we did find room to share a serving of tiramisu and it was wonderful! We had a great waiter that met our needs but never intruded which I appreciate. I definitely recommend eating here!

Can get pricey but for their serving size it’s pretty fair. Love the caesar salad and chicken alfredo. Also their Italian soda is so good: vanilla WITH cream. Do have to say this food is no good reheated.

Had their pasta and chicken dish with side of veggies, very good, well seasoned chicken and the angel hair pasta was good company with the veggies. I didnt get to try their sweet tea, since I’m not usually into that, but it looked good, so I’ll definitely try it next time.

Food was good as ever… But their ladies restroom has a moldy smell and smelled like sewer backup. Let’s put it this way I’d rather use a port a potty in the afternoon on July 4 after a parade.

Popped in for dinner to go. Wait staff wasted no time taking our order. Our waitress was very helpful with menu selections and quite polite. She offered to bring it to our car or invited us to sit and have a beverage. She even offered to split a larger meal into 2 separate portions. THAT is service.

It’s all good, until you go home and reheat the food and there are pools of buttery grease collecting on your food. I’m not positive, but I’m pretty sure they don’t use olive oil in their food. They save it for their bread, I guess. Well, what can I say? Their food is over-seasoned with salt and I’ve never left feeling completely like I’ve gotten my money’s worth, which is a crock of crap if you think about how much they are charging per dish. Everything is also too creamy and too greasy here. I would give them two stars, but I had a good waitstaff experience with them the last time I came in. I was on a liquid/soft food diet from gum surgery, so I asked our waitress about the dish I wanted to order, the tortellini(but I think on the menu, it said«Tortelloni,» but I was on some strong stuff, so I might have read it incorrectly). She said it was soft enough to eat so that’s what I ordered. My husband got the chicken scaloppini. Both dishes tasted really good, but I hadn’t eaten solid food in a while and I was starving. And since hunger is the best sauce, everything tasted great to me. Anyway, I also got the Italian chili and had two bowls of it. It was super salty. At the end of the meal, I asked for the waitress for a to-go box and some bread to-go. She boxed everything up for me and when she came back, she asked me if I wanted a to-go soup as well. I was really happy that she’d asked, because I did want some extra soup, but I didn’t want to ask for it. A good waitress always sees and tends to the need of the diner before the diner needs to ask. She even gave us small containers of the olive oil and roasted garlic for the bread! What a treat! I know it’s no hair off her back if she gives us all this extra stuff, but it just takes a little added effort and work to make the customer feel satisfied. All in all, if I would have Unilocaled this place right after the experience and being high as a kite, I might have given it a 5-star rating.

Love Italian food and this didn’t disappoint. The bread was a little salty but not bad with the olive oil. I had chicken and bow tie pasta in cream sauce. Ross, our waiter was friendly, congenial and quite adept. Let’s face it with out a good wait person the dining experience can quickly go downhill. We had a good one. Ask for him when you go.
