We ordered for a company birthday celebration, the cupcakes were just beautiful and everyone enjoyed!

Seems like no real customer got chance to review this business. Pros: if you are vegan then it is quick way to satisfy sugar cravings while you are at farmers market. 2 stars only because of taste of strawberry cupcake and oatmeal cookies. Cons: This lady is inexperienced, uptight and does not know how to answer questions. Every question is answered by praising her chocolate cupcakes. Its funny… Question 1: do you make medium or smaller cupcakes as its for kids bday party? Her answer: one lady ordered chocolate on chocolate cupcakes for all kids. It is so popular! You need this size only. Question 2: we do not like that flavor what other flavors are popular? Her answer: no everybody likes it. Maybe adults want chocolate on chocolate. You do 50 – 50. Question 3: can you put less frosting on strawberry cupcake? Her answer: no this is less. Everybody loves chocolate coffee blah blah… Sadly… Chocolate Cake part is always uncooked! To grow her business she needs to know: — kids may have food allergies like nuts, gluten, coconut, etc — customers are not interested when commercial kitchen is available to you. — customers do not care if you make more money by selling in sets of 6s. — customers do not care if you make less money on regular cake. — if there is big order then you have to provide professional service as you are charging premium price. It includes communication, respecting customer, product quality, service, flexibility, predictable schedule for flavors. — data analysis can show you where most vegan customers are.(cake creations in san mateo knows who to sell eggless bday treats and their business is good) Anyways she may be doing this business for fun and not planning to make money. Bottom line … You may sell 1 – 2 here or there but will not grow without fixing all these. After many calls/trips to farmers market… I got frustrated… Her naiveness made me search for other vendor.

I’m not a vegan. I have food allergies though and the treats at the Sweet Aha both consistently satisfy my sweet tooth. There’s little I like more than walking around the farmer’s market with a black tea in one hand and something sweet and tasty in the other. Their both is almost always my first or second stop. I love the cinnamon raisin scones and the double chocolate cupcakes. But the flavors rotate every week and if those aren’t your thing, there’s likely to be something you’ll find awesome the following week. Try the coconut lime cupcake. Delish! And it’s not just for walking around. They have boxes available. We’ve bought several art once and outfitted picnics and parties. Tip to proprietor: if people are turned off by the word«vegan», you could leave it unspoken and put up a small sign saying, «Ask about our vegan options!» Let the carnivores discover how good it all is and they won’t care that it’s healthier than they think. ;-)

Best cupcakes in the Bay Area hands down vegan or not! Peiru bakes her delicious delights with such love and care that every bite is overwhelming with goodness. Her treats are so so very good, I highly recommend one if you get a sweet tooth. The only thing that is better then her treats is her personality! Go get yourself some!

This is simply the best bakery out there… vegan and all natural is a bonus. The cupcakes and muffins are light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweet and they sell the only scones I’ve ever enjoyed — even those have a great texture and are moist without being heavy. Every week my son and I see Peiru and pick up 4 muffins and a cupcake, those muffins are our breakfast during the week and we never get tired of them, even my junk food loving husband will fight us for a ‘muffin from Peiru’. Everyone needs to get to San Mateo Farmers Market RIGHTNOW and support this business(but not before I stock up for the week — LOL)!

We met Peiru at her stand at the College of San Mateo Farmer’s Market today. She was almost completely sold out — we’ve tried a few vegan cupcakes before and weren’t particularly impressed so we were reluctant to try again — but after talking to Peiru for a couple of minutes, she convinced us to try one — and we were AMAZED at how great it tasted! The cupcake was fluffy but not dry, it had excellent texture, the cream was thick but not cloying, and it tasted so yummy! Seriously, it was delicious! We’ll make sure to stop by her booth every time we’re at the farmer’s market, and we’re considering using her for some upcoming parties. Great customer service, fantastic product.

The BEST cupcakes in the Bay Area! I disappointed by the lack of specialty cupcake options in the Bay Area. I was happy, though, to have found Sweet Aha! because Peiru’s cupcakes are AMAZING! So moist and her flavor combos, which others have rightfully commented on, are delicious. They definitely do not taste like they are vegan. They are very light and fluffy as well. She is very friendly and it is definitely worth it to make a trip to the Farmers’ Market in San Mateo to grab one of her vegan treats. Will definitely become one of her regular customers! :)

Sweet Aha has yummy vegan desserts. I’ve had the chocolate chip cookies and a few different cupcakes. So many places that offer vegan options have really nasty stuff, you’d think they never even tasted it themselves. This place is not like that, it’s all tasty and all vegan. Try it, you’ll like it.

After stumbling on the existence of this company on Unilocal,my husband and I paid the baker a visit this past Saturday. After buying one of each of the offerings and sharing it with(non vegan) friends during the day, we all agreed that the cupcakes and muffins were amazing. They definitely did NOT taste vegan; light, fluffy, and packed full of flavor! The highlight of the weekend’s offerings was definitely the vanilla, caramel, and almond cupcakes with the lemon poppyseed muffin as a close second. Highly recommend Pei-Ru’s creations to anyone! Edit: I also wanted to add that we’ve bough her scones and they are delicious! We particularly LOVE the«butter» and the cranberry coconut.

I go to the College of San Mateo’s farmer’s market every single Saturday, and these cupcakes are apart of the reason. They are so good. After becoming a vegan last year I expected to give up good-tasting cupcakes, muffins and cookies, but these taste just as good as the real thing. They are always so moist and fresh. Peiru is always friendly and nice and recommending to me a new tasty flavor. There are several delicious flavors to choose from, but I’m really in love with the chocolate chip cookies and muffins. You can’t go wrong with these treats!

My wife and I love stopping by Peiru’s stand at the San Mateo College farmer’s market. The cupcakes are the best I’ve ever had and I love the fact that everything is organic. We recently told my sister in law to order some of these for her son’s birthday party. They were a huge success and Peiru was awesome to work with. She really helped us figure out how to transport them and was fun to pick flavors with.

Best cupcakes ever! Super moist and awesome combos. Sure to find a new favorite every week. One of the reasons we hit this market. And they always use the freshest ingredients.

I am vegan and tried my first cupcake from Sweet Aha this afternoon after my husband brought one home from the San Mateo farmer’s market. It was DELICIOUS!!! I had the coffee cupcake with buttercream and salted caramel and loved it. Can’t wait to try some of the other flavors now that I’ve discovered a great vegan bakery that comes to our local farmer’s market!

My daughter and I like to have a treat with our coffee after Farmers’ Market at CSM on Saturday mornings. Being vegan, we were excited to find Sweet Aha! We’ve tried four different cupcakes and the oatmeal – raisin and chocolate chip cookies. They were fresh and delicious. Even if you’re not vegan, give it a try. You may be surprised at the flavor that can be achieved without using animal products.

Fantastic vegan desserts! I discovered Sweet Aha and its owner, Peiru about three weeks ago at the College of San Mateo Farmers’ Market. Sweet Aha is one of the newer stalls located there. She also sells at the Inner Sunset Farmers’ Market on Sunday’s. I’m a vegetarian and I love that none of Sweet Aha’s desserts contains animal products. There is often skepticism regarding vegan desserts and their taste, but I definitely must say this is the real deal and I’m hooked! The cupcakes are absolutely phenomenal. No butter, no eggs but light, satisfying, and frosting as creamy as it gets! You won’t feel guilty indulging in any of the desserts! The texture is fantastic as well as the flavors. There are roughly 20 different flavors of cupcakes, and Peiru switches it up every week by bringing in a select few. I haven’t been disappointed yet and look forward to trying as many as I can in the future! Also, the cookies are excellent. I absolutely love the oatmeal raisin. The lemon poppyseed muffins are a hit as well! Check out Sweet Aha, definitely worth trying!!!
