Every visit I’ve had here has been nothing but amazing! The orange juice is soooo delicious and definitely is worth the try. I’ve had the macadamia and which chocolate chip pancakes which are great! Oh and can’t forget their bacon, super thick cut and hard to find anywhere else! I also don’t understand why someone would prefer IHOP over this place. the quality of ingredients isn’t coming out of a frozen box into a pan, but to each their own. Everything’s fresh made just like the orange juice!

I really enjoyed my breakfast. The pancakes were delicious. Not too big. Not too small. Bacon was also delicious. Service was great.

The food was great with good service even with it being full. However, the chairs are HORRIBLE! They are made for skinny teenager butts. The metal bars dug into my backside and I had to sit crooked to be sort of comfortable. If you are bigger than an 18 year old, ask for a booth. Comfort is more important than style when it comes to waiting 20 minutes for an oven baked omelette.

Am I the only one that thinks this place is slightly overrated? Don’t get me wrong, the service and the food is good, but I don’t know, it just wouldn’t be my first choice. The menu is overwhelmingly exhaustive. About 10 options for pancakes, french toast, eggs Benedict and more. I’m not kidding, the menu is like at least 5 pages long. All breakfast entrees are huge and come with a SIDE of pancakes. Substitutions, like fruit, cost an extra $ 3 which in my opinion, is incredibly overpriced. Again, don’t get me wrong, the food is good and there’s a HUGE variety, something for everyone, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here.

Every single one of these locations gets packed on the weekends for brunch. Not so coincidentally, this happens to be the time I always end up going. Sometimes after finding out how long the wait is, I’ve left and gone elsewhere. The interior waiting room has a decent amount of space to sit, but it’s always taken up. If you don’t like being in crowds, you’ll want to avoid this. If you have an impatient child(like mine), a thirty-minute wait is just a bit too much for pancakes. I still have yet to make my way through the majority of the menu. After today’s breakfast of eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns, I’m ready to try something new next time. I learned I didn’t like the style of potatoes they make; they’re a bit soggy and I prefer them crispier. The bacon was nice and thick, though a bit salty for my taste. The scrambled eggs were a bit dry and I didn’t even eat half of them. My daughter had the better breakfast of the two of us with the chocolate chip Happy Face pancakes. Covered in whipped cream and chocolate chips, this one is sure to entice even the adults in your party.

This is the only franchise with a great breakfast in the Salt Lake Valley. High quality ingredients and wonderful recipes, made from scratch. It’s busy on weekends, but worth the wait. Whenever I see a busy IHOP or Denny’s, I just think: what a waste of time, money, and calories… but at least that means fewer people at The Original Pancake House!

This is the best breakfast place in sandy, draper area. There plates are very big and filling. The food is awesome. My only complaint. I wish they put a little cream cheese in the crepes. But other than, this place is awesome. Michelle was our waitress and she was very fabulous.

This place is buckets. We had the Nutella crepes, Dutch baby and apple pancake. We are now fat like pigs and we dropped a dab on this place. Can’t wait to bring friends.

This place seems pretty popular. I don’t really get it. I mean, it’s slightly better than IHOP and my opinion isn’t too high of IHOP. There will be a wait on most mornings. The service is totally average. I will say their sweet items do look appetizing. Their waffles and pancakes look more like a pie that you would make for Thanksgiving than it does a healthy breakfast. But I’m not really a sweet lover. So I got the shredded chicken crêpe, and I would never recommend it to anyone. I rather have no ate it, and gone hungry. That being said, that was just one dish that I didn’t like, most of the dishes look totally acceptable, but all in all I feel this place, the prices, the quality of food are all very mediocre unless you’re just totally obsessed with waffles and pancakes specifically.

The food and service here are just what you would expect; they’re good. We don’t have any complaints on that end; however, the wait times are just too long!

A great place near my work for business meetings and pecan pancakes! Typically no wait during the week and a wait for sure on the weekends. One thing a lot of people don’t realize is that there are 5 seats at a first-come-first-serve bar that you can typically get seated at right away. The service here is good and the food very good. Try some of the different varieties of the pancakes for a unique experience!

Shawn was a fantastic waiter for our group of 11 women. Our orders were all brought out together correctly, he checked on us frequently, and took care of the bills and take out boxes without problems. The food was delicious; they let us change ingredients easily. They set up an area for our group. This restaurant is located right off the freeway and has a large parking lot.

Breakfast potatoes are Not chunky potatoes you would expect… Actually mislabeled … Should be called Hash Browns… Server corrected me for calling them hash brown and said they are shredded potatoes Fresh squeezed orange juice does not have taste of fresh squeeze OJ… Person just poured it out of a container… so go figure… If you are into healthy eating. then menu item selection is pretty small… every item has powdered sugar, preservative strawberries, hot maple syrup, cheese, hollandaise sauce…

When we first started going here is was good, then the pancakes stared to just look flat and either undercooked or no taste to them at all. The bacon is good. I have asked for things like oatmeal to be thicker and not watery, well 2 times I asked and both times is was like I didn’t ask for anything it came watery and not great. how difficult is it to pour the water off oatmeal? The staff are great but the food just seems to continue to get worse and worse every time we go back. I have seen pictures on here of some pretty good looking pancakes but i have never witnessed anything like that. Some of their food is really good though. They just do not seem able to special make anything like non-watery oatmeal.

No better place to eat breakfast… period! The omelettes are huge! The crepes are awesome! My wife is a foodie and she won’t go anywhere else for breakfast(she gets the cherry kijafa crepes).

Draper, UT: This place is likely to be one of my new favorite breakfast places around the area; had everything in the meal been delicious, I would’ve given it a five star rating. 1. Location is PACKED on Sundays. Expect at least a thirty minute wait around 11:40 am. 2. Expect to wait about another 15 to 20 minutes for your food to come out. NOTE: the wait is worth it. 2. Portions are HUGE. For $ 10.95, my Southwestern Veggie Omelette was large, filled to the brim with veggies, and included a large side of potatoes AND three buttermilk pancakes. Wow. 3. My omelette was FANTASTIC. The side of potatoes, however, barely registered at «meh.» Truly unfortunate because my friend’s Fresh Fruit Pancakes were also delicious. 4. Our server Sean was great. He was attentive, efficient, and really helpful in making decisions about what to eat. 5. I recommend sitting outside if the weather permits it: it’s quieter than the hustle and bustle going on inside. I’m definitely coming back to OPH… I’ll just avoid the potatoes.

We’ve been waiting for this to open up all summer since we first saw the«coming soon» sign. I was surprised that there was a wait, since it was a weekday at 11am but we waited over 20 minutes. It was worth it though, the food was really great! I got the Belgian waffle with fresh fruit on top. I was so happy to see that they really topped it with fresh berries, and tons of them! And it wasn’t the bottom of the carton, about to be thrown out, mushy strawberries. I got tons of super fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. It’s sad to say this is SO rare. That, in and of itself, will make me go back! Their potatoes were also super good, and my daughter loved her«pig in a blanket» from the kids menu. I also thought their interior design was very attractive and creative. We will absolutely come back here!

They say the best things are worth waiting for. This certainly is true when it comes to any of the better places for brunch, and I now add this OPH location to said list. I could make a lot of breakfast style puns such as it’s eggcellent, but I’m not going to scramble down to that level or poach anything that anyone else could ultimately use in their review. So with that, let’s head over easy into the depths of this review. As I hinted at before bacon, I mean making, that slight detour above, if you go at a peak time you’re going to wait. On a Saturday, if you go before 11am it’s about 30 minutes for a party of 2 and gets more around an hour as you approach midday. It tends to be a little longer if your party has 3 or more. Service though has been excellent on every visit, friendly from the greeters through to being seated, ordering beverages, and the order being taken. On one visit we were served by the manager of this location, Nikki, who was really apologetic for the wait and gave us 20% off of our bill. It really was not an excessively long wait, but was a really nice gesture. Food wise it’s hard to go wrong. The breakfast burrito is really good, especially with sausage though you can choose from ham and bacon also. Omelettes are really good too. I’m sure everything here will be sampled with time! The serving sizes here are pretty big, so make sure you are packing an appetite because you will attempt to eat it all. Honestly a couple can easily share here, I just get a side of bacon or something else in this case and it’s perfect. Despite the name I can’t really say the pancakes are anything super out of the ordinary, but they’re really nice regardless. Atmosphere wise this location is really nice compared to other OPH’s I’ve visited. This is in large part to the fact this location used to be Tuscano’s so it has a bit of an Italian feel to it still. The warm interior actually helps to damp down some of the noise that is generally common with brunch places and in addition the tables are well spaced from one and other too. There is also an outside patio for when the weather is nice. For somewhere that seats so many, this could use a couple more bathrooms, but the fact they are both unisex does help the wait a bit. The only real downside to this location is the parking, you do have to invest a little time into finding a spot, the trick is to send someone else in and get in line while you do a couple of circuits. Worse case, park in Home Depot and walk over! It will help burn off some of the calories on the way back to your car :)

Loved the Salt Lake location when I went there a few weeks ago but this one was just as good! There’s definitely a different feel to this location than there is to the location in Salt Lake. I’m told that it used to be an Italian restaurant which could explain the fact that it seems very fancy when you first walk in. However, the décor did nothing to either increase or decrease the quality of the service and food, I’m happy to say :) Since they just barely opened I was expecting there to be some kinks to work out, but the waitress was professional and friendly and knew what she was talking about. Also, the food was served very quickly, all things considered. For comparisons sake and because I loved the meal I got at the other location, I ordered the roadhouse skillet with bacon and a side of chocolate chip pancakes. Also an orange juice which I have to say was one of the best I’ve had in awhile. None of that nonsense pulp in it. The bacon was cooked perfectly, as were the potatoes and peppers and onions. I wish we had one of these where I live because there’s a lot more items I’d like to try. My biggest criticism is that the pancakes(among other things) are cooked in peanut oil but this isn’t listed anywhere except for in TINY print at the bottom of a different page. I’m allergic to peanuts and although I was fine(because of the small amount used? I’m not sure how) after the first time I came here, there are people with more severe allergies than me. The only reason we found out is because I had a family member checking out the menu online the night before we came here. PANCAKES are not something you expect to be cooked in peanut oil. This problem needs to be remedied before this establishment ends up with someone having a severe reaction because of a lack of awareness.
