Overpriced and underwhelming. I’ve eaten here on 3 or 4 occasions, and each time I have been unimpressed. The burgers are just«ok», but are priced like they are«very good». Today I decided to give them one final chance and try the Tri Tip Steak Sandwich. The flavor was fairly decent, but the portion was small. Also, the steak was cut into long strips and wasn’t very tender, which made biting off pieces difficult. I found myself pulling and yanking with my teeth in order to tear off a bite. There are much better options in this price range.

The fries and onion rings are pretty good, freshly made it seems. If you’re in the mood for a nice and decent price for a burger, this place is a good choice. Great customer service as well. I will come back here again.

First time trying The Habit and it was just okay. The place was clean and the employees were friendly, but the food was just meh. It came out hot and I ate it all, but I’m not sure it’s something I’d ever crave. I’d honestly rather drive down the street and grab In-N-Out.

Not bad. I was expecting mediocre food because of some of the reviews, but I quite enjoyed the veggie burger with extra avocado. I also found the tempura battered green beans to be fairly tasty. Actually, they tasted more like french fries to me, which is probably why I liked them so much. The prices are reasonable as well. I’ll have to come back when they have the hatch green chilies in season. Not the best burger around, but a fair deal and a reasonably good experience if you have the right expectations going in.

Great place to get a burger at, love that you can add avocado to any burger/sandwich you get. The Santa Barbara style is delicious, would recommend it to anyone. Fries are also really good and have always received good service when I go.

5 stars for the vibe. in one sitting we got to hear Smash Mouth’s «Can’t Get Enough Of You Baby» and Santana’s seminal«Smooth» with the rock god Rob Thomas. Thanks for caring! the food was good too.

First I’d like to start with some highlights: Santa Barbara style burger is great because it’s on sourdough bread. Tempura Green beans are very addicting, make sure to order them with ranch to dip. The staff is nice and hospitable. As for the need improvement: the soda selection is slacking, there is no Dr. Pepper which is a sin for a burger establishment. When you order a burger they rattle off the condiments included very quickly, I think it would be better to have a Five Guys system where the burger is naked and YOU get to pick the condiments you want instead of remembering all of the items the teenage girl just muttered to you and then telling her what you don’t want, which she’ll most likely get wrong.

Never thought I’d say this… In’N’Out now has some competition. The burgers are delicious and made with very fresh ingredients.

I love a good burger and this is definitely the place to go for one with a fare price and great environment, my only concern would be the wait time, but perfection takes time. It’s «In ‘N’ Out» on steroids.

I was told the burgers were the best, and they were out of this world. I had mine wrapped in lettuce so I could have a shake too… The coffee shake is to die for. I will be going back for more.

I have been to habit burger several times in Phoenix but this was my first visit to this location. As I have come to expect the burger was good, I had the original char burger with cheese and bacon and my fiancée had the BBQ bacon. Both burgers were well prepared even though I generally like one a bit less well done than they serve them. As always though the real standout is the milkshakes. The hand blended shakes made with real ice cream are amazing. I have gone to habit just to have a shake but when you combine it with the burger for the traditional shake and burger you are having one of the best examples of this all American meal.

The Habit is a popular lunch time spot which makes finding a seat less than easy. I appreciate they offer fish instead of just beef and chicken. Their salads are simple but highlighted by their fresh and chunky guacamole.

That was a great burger — reminds me of Hires Big H. Cool new location, friendly service, pretty fast, good fried & onion rings too. I like Habit better than Smashburger and Salt City. Definitely a place worth going back to.

This was a nice additional to the 114 area, I was first introduced to Habit at their first Utah location in Sugar House, and now I can just have them nearby at this location down south. The decors are contemporary, does not feel like an oldie grandpa place like most fast food places these days. The burgers here overall are cheaper than most fancy burger chains such as ones that adore to five males, or the one that smashes. They also seem less fatty than the others, and a friend once told me their burgers were«too healthy», she was probably right. Most would prefer their burgers more«manly», but they seem to do right by me, especially when I bring along families and trying to keep the cost down for everyone. Santa Barbara style is one of my favorite there, cannot go wrong with avocado. Their shakes are ok, but I am not fan of them. Not bad for a quick burger stop, and I seem to have good luck running into old friends at this location for some reasons.

The place is named«Habit Burger» as a warning. I didn’t take it seriously, and now I’ve been there four times without meaning to. Sometimes I just slip into a fugue and wake after a half-hour drive with the last bits of burger on my fingers. One of the most important ingredients in a good burger is fire – an ingredient too often ignored. I liked the normal cheeseburger, and the Santa Barbara was good with avocado, but the teriyaki is where it’s at. Fire and teriyaki are like margaritas and daytime TV – they just go together. I ask for a burger, fries, and a drink, and a way-over-friendly pusher delivers within a couple minutes. Generally, I don’t feel like walking, sitting up, or any strenuous activity after I come down from my meat buzz. I know it’s not a healthy habit, but I keep it under control. I’m all right, and I promise I’ll never overdo it again.

I came to this place with high expectations from what I’ve heard from friends. I thought the service was great but the food lacked. I got the mushroom Swiss burger and I just thought it was missing something, like lack of flavor. The fries weren’t that great either. They tasted like they been either fried to much or double fried. I don’t think I’ll come here again.

Meh… I really wasn’t that impressed. Service was fine and what you’d expect from a couple of teenage girls and the food came relatively fast considering it was already packed with Mormons fresh from church. I did appreciate not being screamed at to alert me to my order being ready and the food was well prepared for what it was but nothing special. I had the mushroom burger and my husband just had a regular char burger. We both liked the lettuce alot as it was not gross iceberg shredded lettuce but something much better quality. The buns were way to soft and you pay extra for cheese but whatever. The house made strawberry lemonade was fantastic in my opinion. My husband was thoroughly underwhelmed because his 3 main food groups are Bread Cheese Meat and he felt the bread was lacking and the burgers not large enough for the price tag. I just didn’t care. Apathetic. Next!

Craving a burger! This is the place! Charburger over an open flame… mmmm I’ve ate at multiple locations, but this one the most. Every time I’ve been very satisfied! Always delicious and the toppings are fresh and crunchy! The Santa Barbara burger with guacamole on toast… THEBOMB! And no… the guac isnt extra :) Not in the mood for sour dough toast and guac, then get the Char or Double Char for the mighty. The kids menu and portion sizes are just right, plus their soft serve ice cream cone is only a buck and a great incentive for my daughter to eat all her food. Enjoy!

Sandy UT — Santa Barbara style! I know it’s a chain but what can I say I adore this place! One of the spots I missed the most when I moved out to Utah from California was The Hat. I just couldn’t find a burger that satisfied my craving. But finally The Habit moved in and they do the sourdough bread with the heaps of avocado that I missed so much. The Santa barbara style is just how I like my burger. On sourdough with avocado and cheese. The default is a double patty but if you’re not that hungry you can ask for it as a single. They are super accommodating and friendly when I was off dairy for nursing purposes they were great and made my burger without the cheese and held the butter on the bread. When I was trying to kick my caffeine habit I was grateful for their diet caffeine free coke option. I’m back on caffeine, it’s too good. And I am obsessed with their tempura green beans. They are the perfect side and I love their ranch. But the fries are definitely solid. I was unimpressed by their onion rings(but I’m not really an onion ring girl) my husband has tried a bunch of their burgers and enjoyed them all. He also likes their strawberry shake. Besides the yummy food, being in the resturant feels like college in california, that’s a good thing.
