The best toy selection in SB. I appreciate a local’s toy store that offers quality toys that are comprised of classics, newer toys, and «hard to find» unique toys. Great store!

This Summer…
Go to Kernohans instead and support a local business. This is a toy store like I remember as a kid, complete with stairs leading to nooks only kids would venture into and be completely thrilled.
You can find mainstream items like Legos and CalicoCritters (say what?), but you’ll also find a lot of unique one-​offs. I was impressed to see a small kids cooking section… real pots and pans. There was a small bookshelf and it included a local author.
Very friendly service.
If you are looking for a special gift for a little one, come here. You’ll probably get major cool points.

What a great toy store this is … just off State Street, so a little quieter. An absolutely huge collection of every kind of toy you can imagine. From wooden toys to the latest electronic toys and gadgets for the modern kids. The extremely friendly and knowledgable staff always comes in handy when selecting that perfect gift.

The toy selection is good. However the owner could do better.
I was in line today to get check out. The wealthy lady was purchasing a toy for his dog. She has a big dog and my kid was playing nearby. She somhow let the leash slipped off her hand two times and the dog come straight to the kid. I am not sure whether she did it on purpose or not. The cashier seems to know her well and they chatted like nothing happened. I can’t blame the lady ’cause there are always rude people on the earth. But the cashier shall not let this happen.
Not kid friendly for a toy store. How sad that sounds like.

Our favorite toy store in Santa Barbara! Both locations are great (Goleta and downtown). Staff is always very friendly and helpful, and they are always happy to let kids play in the store for as long as you like. Great selection of toys for all ages (both educational and pure fun), well priced (not far off of what you would find on amazon), and the staff is very knowledgeable about what they carry. Highly recommended!
