Full disclosure: I’ve known Nicky for years, since before she was training for her massage license. What I’ve seen is a full blossoming of her career, from having friends as clients, to being such a respected person in her field that she’s training others in her techniques. Even so, I didn’t experience her massage until I received a certificate as a birthday gift. Boom, instant relaxation and now I understand why people like her massage so much. She has a multitude of specialties, but the key ones are pregnancy(if you’re preggers or have been, you’d know why this is a super good massage technique) and barefoot massage. The former I can’t speak personally about, but the barefoot massage is the one to watch out for, imho. It’s just so unexpectedly awesome. I have chronic lower back pain and sometimes it needs a very gentle touch(lady hands), sometimes it needs lots of pressure(barefoot). Overall, her style isn’t the kind where she thrashes your body into a pulp, it’s more about nurturing and feeling what your body wants to be rid of, which she takes, and then she puts good things back into you. Afterwards, I recommend you have no plans and go straight home to take full advantage of your relaxed state. I once went back to work and that was stoopid. Never doing that again. Nicky’s also a really nice person, one of the nicest I know in this town. And her business is kinda holistic in that it’s is a good balance of the quality massage for health and luxury, while solidly grounded with a decent website(no flash or windchimes and angels singing in the background) that clearly explains her services and rates and hello, you can book online. Two bonus points: discounts for buying multiples, and chewy ginger candies in her massage studio.
