We have rented from Milpas Rental for over 12 years to include major rentals for our vacation home remodel. I rented a carpet cleaner from them today as I could not get a carpeting cleaning company to come out on short notice. Upon using the carpet cleaner I run into a glitch. When returning the item I explained the situation and they were most accommodating.

My husband and I have been renting from milpas rental for many years now. If I could give it 6 stars I would. They have anything you can imagine to rent. From scissor lifts to great quality power tools. Their fleet of equipment is always in top shape and never outdated. You not only get amazing customer service every time, but definitely the lowest prices around. Their staff is super knowledgeable and super friendly. When we had our wedding a few years back, we needed extra power for lighting and kitchen equipment, and they were so helpful with leading us towards what size cord we needed and even connectors for all of the lighting. Keep up the good work Milpas Rental!

Here’s the truth about Milpas Rentals, at least what I’ve seen over the last 30 years of my residency. They have a ton of tools to rent. Pretty much, if you need it, they most likely have it. I’ve rented from them several times as your basic homeowner and as a contractor. They have been polite and very fair about their service and rates. I’ve found their prices reasonable. Far cheaper than buying the product! But that is not what sold me. Recently I rented a tool and then became ill and was unable to return the tool on time. They showed me grace and mercy. They had every legal right to require full payment of the multiple extra days. They were VERY kind to me and concerned about my well being. I thank them very much not just for their forgiveness but more importantly for their compassion. Absolutely I’ll rent from them again, and again.

Not cool. I needed to rent a jackhammer for some demo work and was pleased to see they advertised the new Hilti, however the only thing they had available was an older Hitachi. It worked fine but the power cord had a very worn plug that kept falling out of the extension cord socket. I lost way to much time stopping to replug the jackhammer back in. When I went back to to the shop to return the tool I arrived 5 min. before close. The man on duty inside had already locked the doors and did not respond to my knocking. I waited for him to come out at which point he refused to take the jackhammer and told me to come back in the morning. I explained that I live two hours North of Santa Barbara and wouldn’t be here in the morning. He still refused to take the jackhammer. Terrible and unprofessional customer service. This was at the Sate Street location.
