I’ve been here several times. Sophie the woman from Long Beach no longer works here. She currently is at Nu Image on lower state and she is amazing and incredibly passionate about her job. She was my first experience here. I’ve never had such a great acrylic and I have lived in LA and SF and had my nails done by some great shops, she is the only reason I came back multiple times. The second time another woman did my nails who clearly had very little experience and I was not informed that she was still training so my nails ended up looking like deformed oval wide lumps. I’m too nice to say anything so I just paid, left and fixed them as best I could at home. I came here a third time and asked for Sophie but was told she was on vacation(LIE!) I was assured that«the man» could do just as great a job and that I would like it, they promised that he was just as good. She asked me to trust her so I went ahead and agreed. He is not a pleasant man. He jokes around and wants you to think that he is kidding and being silly but he isn’t. But setting aside his personality he did a TERRIBLE acrylic set on me. I had it done one week ago and at least one nail every single day has broken off! I literally only have my right pinky left from the original set. I am not doing anything crazy with my hands either, they just pop off with just a bit of pressure, like washing dishes in which two broke off. I also asked him to push back my nail bed and he instead sawed them off with the nail file machine and my nail beds have been bleeding and pealing, it looks terrible and is very painful! I went back to have him fix my first broken nail the day after the original set and he was super rude. He ignored me, then said he was busy, then informed me they were closing in over an hour. I asked him when he would have time and when I should come back after his current apt but he ignored me and then YELLED at me that he was busy. I would have gladly come back at a later time or the next morning. Well I just hope I save you they money and time and that you all pick another shop in town. Either Lily from Lily’s nails or Sophie and Kim from Nu Image. So far they have been my best experiences.

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. To begin, I asked the woman if she could do an acrylic on only my pinky finger(my nail broke to a much shorter length than the rest), which I’ve done several times at other places. When she pulled out the acrylic powder and no tips, I was confused. She did not glue a tip on my finger, and struggled to create length with the acrylic powder which making an awful shape. When I told her that It was uneven, she responded that I don’t know what I’m talking about. She went on to «fix» it, but only made it worse when she added more layers of powder, which made my nail become thicker and thicker. Next, I told the woman doing my nails that I had a very deep cut on my finger and to just be careful around it. She continued to squeeze that very finger repeatedly throughout my manicure. Not only did I go in with a cut on a finger, she was filing the side of a different nail and wasn’t even looking! This resulted in her cutting my finger right next to the nail, which even 5 hours later, seems to hurt. Not even an apology, just a giggle. Once they could see how upset I was with heir service, they began to bargain with me and offer me deals to make up for the fact that my nails looked terrible. To top everything off, she didn’t clean the polish around my nails. Now I have to go to another salon and spend more money to get everything fixed, because going out in public with these nails would just be embarrassing. Needless to say, I am never going back and would suggest people stay as far as possible from this place.

Of all the nail salons I’ve tried in Santa Barbara I’ve experienced the best results from this one. I only work with one artist, originally from Long Beach. She takes her time to make sure it’s exactly what you ask for, and takes the time to do extra steps that other salons leave out. The grow out, in my opinion, is the best way to really tell the level of skill that the technician has, and my grow out is always very clean and neat. The salon is brand new and really nice, and it’s really close to all the downtown fun stuff so it’s not a hassle to make a quick stop during a shopping day. Highly recommended, and I like to bring my pup sometimes which is convenient for me, they welcome him with open arms. Just got engaged and I only trusted this salon to have my hands ready for my big day :)

This is my go to place for Acrylics. Ever since I’ve moved here I’ve been looking for my new go-to acrylic nail place and this is it! They get right down to the cuticle, do a quality paint job, and they LAST. They are all super friendly and its a beautiful, clean, nail salon(:

Amanda did an amazing job on my gels. She’s a total perfectionist — no lumps, rough edges, or uneven cuticles. They looked perfect. Unfortunately the color was bad(OPI) or I did something to mess them up because they changed color overnight. I went back a couple days later and they redid them in a different color for free. Just as perfect as the first time and no discoloration! Great quality and service.

Very bad! I went there for a pedicure and they charged me on my card 65.- instead of 30.- !!! I have been there couple times to ask my money back and showed them my receipt. They told me .“the owner will refund you” and he never did! I will go back there everyday to claim my money back! But don’t go there. it’s a crap!!!
