Nice location with great service and drinks. The fire pit is a plus on cold nights. Very limited parking but Santa Barbara’s superb year-​round weather negates this inconvenience.

A nice change up from Starbucks if you’re looking to swap from one chain to another, but it still lacks that intimate feel of a mom & pop joint.
The coffee is decent, but the pastries have that cellophane taste like they were pulled from the wrapper just hours earlier. This place provides what you’d expect from a chain: familiar menu with decent drinks and service.

Great place to relax and enjoy coffee and Santa Barbara’s great weather. Staff are efficient and pleasant; the manager runs a tight ship with a focus on customer service. Our favorite coffee stop in SB.

The service is slow here. Every time I come the wait time is much longer than other CBTL. If you’re in a hurry don’t use this place.

Not impressed. Staff does not pay attention to simple requests. They throw away & waste a ton of food. I will Never invest a single penny of my hard-​earned money here. They have 0 outlets to use for charging because they suck. Waste of time, I will remember to avoid this place in the future.

I love this coffee shop! Coffee’s great but really the employees make the difference. Every morning I hear, «good morning Sheila, having ur usual?» What a great way to start the day, feeling special. Nice.

Perfect place to start my morning after my 5 mile walk. The service is good, employees are attentive and the coffee is top shelf.
I especially enjoy being able to drink my beverage from a glass mug. The americano tastes significantly better than Starbucks and right on par with Peets.
My favorite pastry here has to be the cranberry breakfast bar warmed up. Although the mini scones and donuts are delish too.

I am not one that is typically a fan of chain restaurants or coffee shops however frequent at times due to convenience. That is how my addiction with CBTL started about a year ago…
Having previously worked nearby, this was the go to place for quick work coffee runs for that pick-​me-​up to get through some days, it was fine, the drinks were always tasty and did the trick. Then one day it all changed when I ordered a Matcha Latte. I quickly became obsessed. Frequenting this location 3 – 4 days a week, always ordering the same drink.
I have tried Matcha Lattes at other establishments, it’s never the same… I always end up disappointed. CBTL adds just the right amount of sweetness to cut the natural bitterness of Matcha, creating a heavenly latte.
This location is my favorite in SB. Despite not working nearby anymore I still go out of my way to order my favorite drink at this location. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Not to mention quick and efficient, a plus in the morning when some are trying to make it to work. See you Monday!

I love coffee Bean and tea leaf over Starbucks any day. However this location has terrible parking. The parking lot is small and there is absolutely no street parking because everything is marked red. I tried to get coffee here this morning but could not find a place to park so I drove away.

My biggest complaint with this Coffee Bean is they usually run out of tuna and most meals by noon or earlier. I have asked why they cannot order more since they are open all day. I get the same kind of «we have what we have» attitude. So we are all in agreement it’s better to go elsewhere if you want food:)

When it comes to velvety smooth coffees and teas, this is the place to go. While I’ve been to another CBTF in SF, this place seemed way more chill. I did however get that out-​of-​towner look from what I would imagine were the locals. Did I have NorCal tattoo’d on my forhead, not sure how they’d know?!
Thankfully the place was not packed at all so I walked right up to the ordering counter and had them call up one of their Original Ice Blended drinks in the form of a summer special, Caramel Brownie. The drink had the ooey gooey caramel and bittersweet mocha flavors doing the ChaCha on my tongue. Yes it was gluttonous but it was damned good and gave me the pep I needed for the rest of the day!
My ride had gone across the street to the nearby Trader Joes so I walked over there thus burning all the calories I was about to ingest from the sinful drink… IN MY DREAMS!

I absolutely love this spot! I’m not a huge fan of coffee bean and tea leaf normally but I have been going here almost everyday before work because they are fast, consistent and friendly every single time with every employee that has served me. There was 2 occasions when things didn’t go right. Once when I asked for soy and was given non fat and was in such a hurry they had to refund me and I left with nothing. And a second time I called in an order and they forgot to make it. Both times they fixed the mistake no hesitation. Most places I notice the employees blaming the customer. Not acceptable. I was also offered almond milk in place of soy recently. AHHHH sooo happy!!!

I love this location! Christine is so sweet and she helped me decide what I wanted to order. :) the service was very fast!

Lovely place to have a morning coffee outside by their firepit. Even on an overcast day, it is pleasantly warm. And you can take your dog with you. The service from the pleasant and friendly staff is great.

I guess that you could say I am a bit of a regular… I know I am a regular because the coffee is often poured and waiting for me when I get to the counter. I know I am a regular when a friend has left me a paper to read on my favorite table.
Employees come and go at this place but most have been consistantly wonderful! The current employees are great!
I used to go to Jeannine’s I was a regular there too. When they opened the door on the State Street location, I was their first customer. But I grew weary of the employees attitudes and honestly the clientelle wasn’t always so nice.
I have made some wonderful friends at the ‘Bean. Many people know me by name and it is my comfort spot.
To me it is a social experience (a secret about me is that I am not even that big a fan of coffee – but coffee shops kind of frown on people who come in every day and don’t order something)
On a little side note; Starbucks sent me an email the other day, I am no longer a Gold member, I have been dropped to Green. Thanks Starbucks, that will get me running back to you! I think that the Coffee Bean treats us all like gold members!

I must say, I have been going to this coffee bean location for 4 years. I hit them every Sat, Sun and Mon on the regular and more often when i have time.
We have a couple of CBTL in Santa Barbara but hands down this location is my favorite. Not only is the employee’s friendly and polite they take the extra time to remember their regular customers names and drinks.
Customer service is something I first judge and then the quality of the product. Not only do I receive top of the line customer service when I go here but drinks come out perfect every time. I no longer have to tell them what I want, they know that I never change my drink and it will be the same order every time.
If you enjoy a good cup of coffee or an awesome blended drink and want amazing customer service when you go to get it; stop by the De La Vina store for an awesome experience each and every time.
Hands Down Blended white chocolate with 2 add shots and extra fudge is my love; they even named my drink murdered out because of the quantity of fudge i request in my cup; its like having a sundae in a cup

Not sure what to say, this place is grand.
I love their blended drinks especially if you extreme it!
I love to sit here and hangout whenever I get some down time. It feels so much like a home away from home.

This morning’s service was really awful.
I ordered 2 triple lattes in 2 small cups, and mentioned that the pastries that I had bought yesterday were old and I couldn’t eat them. The guy behind the counter argued saying that’s not possible because deliveries are made at 5:30 am. I told him that as a paying customer I didn’t appreciate the bad pastries. He continued to argue that they were not old. I simply said that I couldn’t eat them.
The 2 lattes were put in large cups, but my order was in small cups. The girl threw out the 2 large lattes and was slamming everything on the counter who obviously was agitated because the order wasn’t correct. She finally got it right the second time, but seemed upset about the mix-​up.
OK, I’ve got to remember that these are college kids working through college on a Sunday morning who don’t want to be there. So, I’m sure there are other kids who might want that job.
At least the latte was what I expected.
