For Moms

Just came by here to just check it out and see if they had any lactation treats and as soon as i walked in there was a sign that said they were closed for a meeting but the doors were wide open so i looked around to see if anyone was on the floor and didn’t see any one. So i hollered out hello 4 times but no answer, proceeded to walk around and finally found someone in the back and asked if they were open and she said yes. I tried strolling around the store with my stroller but it was hard to get around, the store was cluttered and most aisles was a one way tight aisle making it hard for me to shop. I gave up and decided to ask them for help on locating some lactation treats. The girl and guy working there didnt even know what lactation meant so i had to describe it to them. I told them that lactation means lack of milk and i wanted to see if they had anything to help boost milk supply and they said oh breastfeeding? Pointing to his own man breasts and i said yes, and he told me his coworker knows more about that and the led me around the store to the breast pumps. I said no… If you guys don’t know anything about baby products or mothers needs dont open a store or hire people who dont know nothing about baby products. Waste of my time ugh

I placed an order with them on 22 June 2013 for a gift for my grandson… this order never arrived… I’ve emailed and placed calls to them during normal operating hours to inquire about the order without any response… They have also taken my payment through PayPal… I’ve read other complaints now after looking them up on the internet and I know that I should have done this first before trusting them… I will deal with PayPal to get a refund… I only have this to say about my experience with For Moms… If you come through with my order I will do a follow-​up review, but as for now I can only advise future purchasers to «DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY»… I hope I’m wrong…
Follow-​up review as promised… after finally getting in contact with the owner I found out a few things that held up my order that I would like to share… I found out that when placing an order through PayPal, they wait for a validation of payment with them… which after a 45 minute conversation with PayPal they stated that it’s up to the vendor to ship out the product if they wanted… but PayPal agreed to send an email to the vendor and straightened out the problem and the vendor agreed to ship my order the same day, problem solved… the other reason other people including myself didn’t hear from the company after placing orders during the same time period was that the person in charge of the on-​line sale just didn’t show up for work again, leaving them over loaded with incoming sale orders… I received an apology from the owner and a thank you for the business… My order arrived in a timely manner and in great condition… Great job.

Based on the other 2 reviews I thought this place would have everything. Maybe I went on an off week but I seriously couldn’t find anything that my friend had asked for on her baby shower list. Things are kind of cluttered and just put haphazardly on the shelves. I went here to support a small business rather than hit up Target or Buy Buy Baby but honestly I managed to get 2 items and still had to make the trip to Target to get the rest. One plus is that first time visitors who check-​in on Unilocal get a 25% discount. Oh another minus about this place is that they don’t provide gift receipts which is kind of a hassle especially if you are buying for a baby shower. The girl at the register said they would be able to accommodate returns as long as I give the invoice # to my friend… all fine but just a hassle. It might be better if they focus on just babies or just kids or just moms, they have a little of everything and it’s just too much of nothing.

For Mom gets 5 stars from me! I love this store. I can find all the cool baby stuff I see in magazines here. Plus, they really carry the best products for my baby. I read reviews, attend mommy groups, and all the other things we moms do to find out what the best, at For Moms I can find it all. The price and location is great. The staff is super friendly, and they have a big comfy couch for Dads to sit on while Mommy shops. I can buy everything at this store… Ive looked and there is none like this one around. I advise all moms to check them out!
