Terrible Customer Service… So I had the first appointment of the day and arrived at opening time. The doors were closed. The only other car in the lot was a female dressed in scrubs. She sat in the lot for 10 minutes talking on the phone with her car running and could clearly see I was waiting. She finally exited her car, still on the phone, and entered the rear door of the building. About 5 minutes later, the same female opened the front door still talking on the phone. She let me into the lobby and she walked behind the counter, still on the phone. I stood a the counter for a couple of minutes while she finished her conversation about her weekend plans. Finally she ended her call and seemed upset or bothered by my presence. Anyways, I finally had my xrays done. The tech was nice and professional. I left and will NEVER return and I hope after reading this review and all the other negative ones nobody else goes to this terrible place.

I had an appointment for MRI today. I called them for same day appointment and I got my appointment in an hour. Front office people were nice and the technician was very professional and caring! I think his name was Brian. Thanx for making my appointment so easy and smooth.

Meh. Staff acted like it was a pain for them to answer a couple of questions and they did not want you there. Poor customer service. But other than that, just got an MRI done.

So this is my first Unilocal review, and I’m sorry it’s not a happy one. Advanced Imaging Center may have treated hundreds of cases and can claim satisfied patients, but I’m not one of them.
I had a 3:00 pm appointment, but they called me to say they could take me, told them I could be there in 15 minutes (around 2:30). I arrive, and I immediately am handed a stack of papers to fill out. All fine, it’s probably standard procedure. But, I was there less than 10 months prior for a similar procedure, so you would think, I’m still in their system? No matter, I still had to fill them out.
So, I go in, I get the ultrasound finished around 3:00. Great, but it’s not over; my doctor also requested an MRI if the ultrasound was clear. The staff at AIC tell me to wait for the results. I don’t find out until 4:15 pm, and they need to schedule the MRI now, so I can’t leave. Oh, and they wouldn’t tell me what the ultrasound results were.
In the meantime one patient comes in who is struggling with her walker. She is there for an ultrasound, but the staff at AIC inform the poor woman that they sent their ultrasound tech home at 3:30; I should know because I saw her leave for the day. But the poor woman with the walker was sent away even though she said her doctor scheduled the appointment with the staff at AIC, who didn’t realize there would be no one to do the ultrasound. Really professional.
The waiting continued… Did I mention the waiting room was freezing? And it’s JANUARY! Patients were shivering from the arctic breeze blowing through the waiting room.
Anyways I finally got the MRI done at 5:30 pm, and I though, «done, right?» Nope, since it was a stat order from my doctor I had to wait for an MRI doctor to interpret the results. So I wait some more. Finally I ask the receptionist if a doctor was going to interpret the results anytime soon. She disappears for about 5 minutes, returns and says to wait. Again with the waiting.
Finally at 6:20 pm they tell me I can go home and my doctor will contact me with results. Really? You had me wait almost an hour for a doctor to tell me to go home? I thought a stat order meant the doctor was going to interpret the results ASAP then I could go home sooner. To top it off, the staff told me I couldn’t know the results even though it seems it wasn’t serious enough for me to be hospitalized. Some apologies ensued. I asked for the number of the supervisor. I will be talking to her soon.
Recap: I was there for four hours. For two 20 minute procedures. And I was afraid to leave otherwise I would lose my place like the poor woman with the walker.
Don’t get me wrong, the techs are pros and are professional in every sense of the word. They will have great careers in their fields.
The front office staff? Not so much. They seem to not care a lot if the patient is informed, accommodated or comfortable. Oh well, I guess it’s just not in their pay scale to care too much.
Avoid.
EDIT– Called the supervisor for AIC, left a message with an assistant that I wanted to discuss my experience at their Santa Clarita office. It’s been over 48 hours and no return phone call. At this point I don’t expect a return phone call. Oh well.

This is my second experience with this location. My first experience was last year and it was absolutely awful. I’d even posted a review however for some reason it’s been deleted or perhaps I deleted it but I had to write another review about my recent experience–
I don’t know what it is about this place and why they can not get it together. First, start off with some basic training on how to handle appointments without being distracted. My Dr called to make an appt for an MRI as I needed one right away. They managed to confirm an appointment for 11am. When I arrived — 10 minutes later they stated I didn’t I have an appointment. Then one of the receptionist asks the other beside her if she made an 11am appointment and she stated she did but for 5 days later. Apparently she was looking at the wrong date. Ok– simple mistake, I get it. But this happened the first time I made an appointment with them as well. What are the odds? Then they fail to have any sort of sympathy. Basic customer service skills. The lady that makes the mistake is quick to point out she has nothing available today, she had the «sorry not sorry» demeanor. The other receptionist at least tried to figure something out for me which she successfully managed to re schedule me for an hour later.
Both visits I have witnessed the receptionists have little to no customer service skills. Someone please teach these people to smile because they look incredibly miserable. And if their happy their body needs to tell their face that. They can’t answer simple questions without looking annoyed and treating you like you don’t matter.
Once you get to the technicians– they’re great! My technician was very pleasant and made a scary situation for me become less scary and made me less anxious. Really liked him!
Nevertheless– I’m not surprised on all the negative reviews! Hopefully they can take the feedback and put it to use in a basic training course or hire new receptionists who have true training in customer service 101!

My wife and I have been here several times. The two women working at the front desk are not friendly and need some lessons in customer service or fired. The people working in back were vary friendly. I did have to call once for not forwarding my results. I did not have any problems with appointment times.

I think that different people have different experiences so just brushing them off and making excuses as a business, as I’ve seen from AIC on this page, really puts up some warning signs for me. More than half of the people that are leaving reviews aren’t having a good experience, yet you just complain that the only reason you’re not in better standing is because positive reviewers don’t bother to put a review up? That only tells me one thing, you’re performing okay to bad service. If it was spectacular, people would be here defending you.
But anyways, that doesn’t really matter. What matters is what the customers think. And this customer thinks that this is not the best place to get an MRI. There were really only a few key things that really got on my nerves and that just got worse and worse.
First of all, it took them three weeks to verify my insurance. THREE WEEKS. I understand I have a school insurance and it’s probably harder to get a hold of them but come on, seriously? I went to the regular doctor’s to get my ears flushed and they told me within five minutes after a simple phone call. Why is that so hard? I would constantly call back every day before my scheduled appointment day and ask the front desk if they had. I did this three separate times and let me tell you, I was sick of it. I would always get an excuse like «oh the lady that deals with this stuff has a HUGE stack of papers on her desk and she’s getting to them» or «oh yeah we’ll tell you tomorrow» even though they never would. It was honestly the most frustrating thing ever, I don’t understand why I have to babysit my own appointment because no one can bother to get to my information until they either feel like it or have to. I nearly canceled on the third time, had they not actually told me they accepted it.
Second, on my appointment day, they called me fifteen minutes before my time (well into me driving there) and told me that they had to change my appointment from 2:30 to 4:30 because the doctors were running behind. I guess it’s understandable because some days will be busier than others, but it was still incredibly annoying. So I drove all the way back home and waited an hour before just driving over after the lady at the front said that if I came at 3:30, I could probably get in before 4:30. So I sat in the waiting room, filled out my paperwork, and paid part of my deductible and then waited. Oh but what happens? After thirty minutes of waiting, she tells me that they’re having my problems with someone on a machine and they won’t be able to see me until 6:30. Are you kidding me? No really, are you kidding me? It just honestly felt like another tick backwards, like they didn’t want to see my at all. Again, I understand stuff happens, but you really don’t have more than one machine there to use? Or more than one tech or doctor to look at you?
The ladies at the front are 50/​50, honestly. The first time I came in, very rude and dismissive of me. The second time, much nicer and kinder. They were nice enough to allow me to chose how much I wanted to pay, which was good. The waiting area is nice and cool, so that’s good.
Honestly, they seem like they’re trying hard, but they either don’t have good management or they’re just a new business and need to learn better customer service and communication skills. Not a horrible place to go, just there are much better people to pay all that money to.

I needed to have an X-​ray done today, right away after seeing my primary care. The office was able to squeeze me in right away. The staff was very accommodating and sweet! The technician was great and made me feel very comfortable. Definitely will refer them out to everyone!

Do not go here. I was told to arrive 15 minutes before my appointment to fill out paperwork which I did. Spent that time listening to the two office workers bicker with each other. Five minutes after my appointment time I had to request that they please check me in. I was the only patient in the place! While the MRI technician was great, everything else was terrible. I called two days after my appointment to check on results. I was told they were ready and the doctor would have them the next day or the day after. I wait, I wait, call the doctor, call the doctor. No results. Finally the doctor calls them to request the fax the results to which we were told yes they would. No they did not! It has been a week since my test. Five days since they told me they had the results ready and we cant get them. Mind you my doctor is two miles from them. And this was for a very painful back injury that could not receive treatment until we had the result. So I spent an extra week in pain because they cant get their act together.

Fellow Unilocalers, thank you, your reviews were spot on and you just saved me! I originally made an appointment at this place as they were in-​network for my insurance. Bright side was they had many slots open the next day! Fortunately I checked out these reviews and got extremely wary. Well you were right. When I called to cancel, the lady on the phone literally threatened to charge me for canceling my appointment. Wow, I have never even been to this place and this is their behavior. Now would I want to go through with this appointment? No way Jose. Finding another imaging place! If their management is reading, get rid of your office staff. I hear the radiologists etc are good, but I will never know will I?

Front desk staff are rude and could care less about customers. Too busy complaining about people to each other to acknowledge you. Favorite words are have a seat and we will call you in a few. Go anywhere else, there are tons of options in the SCV.

I did not go to the scv location but I did go to the lancaster location. I was able to get a 4D of my baby girl. They were very professional and gave me not only over 20 printed pictures but a disk with a video of her having the hiccups and also every single picture they took. I loved that!

Yes. One star is too much. The billing staff took an inordinate amount of time to process our insurance claim when we had paid $ 700 cash for the procedure. Once the claim had been processed, they called to tell us they were sending the check and which we have never received. Then we receive a $ 2,865.00 insurance claim. I explained to the billing office that there is no way we owe any part of the almost $ 3,000 as the office performing the procedure would not have let us leave only paying $ 700. They determined it was a mistake and said they would remove the claim. They were petty and unprofessional. I would never go there again.

If you’re looking for a place where you’re treated like dirt, and employees people that don’t have a clue how to do their job, this is the place for you!
I’d give it less than one star if possible.
Just a few examples…
1) I arrived for my appt literally 3 minutes late and not only did they cancel me, but chastised me in front of the entire [full] waiting room.
2) Because they have NO clue about what HIPPA is, they assume whatever makes their job easier. I.e., «We won’t give you a copy of YOUR report because its against the law». WHAT???
There are plenty of other imaging places in the Antelope Valley. ANYTHING is a step up from here!

This place was recommended by my insurance company to help keep the costs lower. The people were friendly. The techs were very informative about what was going to be happening. They even let me stay in my own clothes since I showed up without any metal. Everyone was very personable. I haven’t gotten the bill yet, so I just hope everything goes through insurance properly.

Dear sweet mother of unprofessionalism! My doctor recommended this place for a CT scan. I should have pumped the brakes as soon as I saw that the exterior of AIC… it looked like a shady, repurposed, banquet hall… But in any case, I carried on.
As others have mentioned, the lobby and facilities are atrocious! I mean, outdated, filthy, and they just seem like a hodgepodge sort of operation.
The staff was not friendly or welcoming by any means. In fact, the front desk was unattended when I first arrived… Side note, I was so confused on my way to the appointment because I realized that I never got any instructions on how to prepare for the appointment. When I did call (as I was on my way), the receptionist was vague and said she had to ask the radiologist when he came in (the place had been open for 20) and that she’d give me instructions when I ARRIVED… say what??? I mean… you decide. Fortunately, my wait was not long, BUT, every rose does have its thorns… the tech that escorted me back did not greet me with a, «Hi, how are you?» Instead, he said, «Take off your pants, the shirt can stay but take off your bra, put a gown on with the opening to the back…» The changing «room» is more like a closet with broken cabinets and a plastic pouch of gowns on the bench, I guessed I’d slip into one of those?
Once in the room, the vagueness continued. Little questioning was done about why I was there or what it would be like… The IV went into place (I’d never had an IV before) and I was left in a very dark, cold, hodgepodge, of a room, but, did I mention clouds are painted on the ceiling? How lovely. The procedure itself took about 15 minutes and then I heard nothing nor moved for an additional 5. I was told not to move, so I didn’t… When the tech finally came back, he took the IV out (which was on my right arm) and walked over to my left side and stood there. Didn’t know why but it seemed like he was trying to get a glimpse of my rear side when I got off the table through a wall mirror (yes a mirror! told you it was an old banquet hall) on the opposite wall!
As if that weren’t all, when I did exit the room, all of the office staff, including the DR/​Radiologist that was supposed* to be looking at my scan, and I mean ALL of the office staff were standing outside my door sniffing the air in a room across the way because one of the employees said that it, «smelled funny.» I mean… really?! Oh, and I did walk past the room where the DR examines the scans, the door was wide open and the computer unattended, how nice right?
Once again, no one at the front desk when I left because they were all too busy sniffing the air in the back… unprofessional to the extreme. I wouldn’t normally go to such great lengths to criticize a place like this (check out my other reviews) but as I was there in the dark, in my robe, a thought crossed my mind and that was that it would suck so badly (pardon my French) to have a grave illness and receive this type of treatment from a medical facility… Please, take my word and go elsewhere.

Let me start off by saying that if I could give this facility less than 1 star I would.
I was sent to AIC for an emergency MRI on my wrist. When I got there, the technician stated «if it appears that I’m in a rush it is because I am» because he hurriedly and carelessly manipulated my injured wrist without any professionalism or compassion. The pain was already excruciating without his unneeded assistance. After the MRI was completed, he left in a rush to go to lunch. Which at that point, I was happy to have him leave. Except for one problem. He forgot to take the IV out of my arm!
You should have seen my husband’s face when I walked into the waiting room with an IV sticking out of my arm. I think he was even more upset than I was. So I walk over to the receptionist to show her the needle sticking from my arm. She then asks me to wait 15 – 20 minutes for Mr. Late-​for-​lunch to get back so he could remove it. Um NO!
I asked my husband to remove it because the thought of being there any longer was much worse thank the pain the technician put me through.
There is a reason why all the reviews about this facility are so horrible because it’s true. There are plenty of good imaging centers in SCV. This is definitely not one of them.

Extremely unfriendly front desk. They kept trying to have me make an appt for an MRI in Palmdale rather than Valencia. Palmdale has a closed MRI which I don’t like. Went to Valencia today. got under machine… oh. the magnet broke… and then advised I go to Palmdale… again… I don’t think they want to see patients there… just pretend to have an imaging center…

The front office staff is just atrocious, even for a medical facility.
I almost expect a certain level of attitude whenever I come into a doctor’s office; it’s cliché. However, this place takes the cake.
If you want to be treated poorly by overworked front-​office staff, under quoted then over billed by an incompetent billing department or experience excessively long wait times both «pre» and «post» procedure, by all means this is your place.

Just a few notes about this place: if you want the people who show up on time for their appointment to be comfortable while they wait half an hour or more for you to finally fit them in – and the service this patient is there for required the patient to drink a whole lot of water without letting any of it out until you’re done with the test – I’m going to say that having a fountain in the waiting room is just plain cruel. I thought my bladder was going to rupture, and all I could hear was dripping. Pure torture. They did ask me to fill out a survey about the care I received BEFORE I received any, but I did mention the fountain. At that point, they offered to turn it off, but it’s not great foresight on their part. That’s like an eye doctor having blindingly-​bright lights in the waiting room because it will really only negatively affect a few patients, not all of them…
My other huge issue is that the person there who deals with insurance companies is either painfully dim or a pathalogical liar. Either way, my trip that I was told my insurance company pre-​approved ended up costing me over $ 700 out-​of-​pocket. Yes, like most medical practices, they make you sign the paper saying you’ll pay if your insurance doesn’t, but I would have walked out without signing and without the procedure if I’d known they blatantly misled me. Terrible business practice… just really shameful.
That said, the people performing the actual tests were good about keeping it fast (so I could finally give my bladder a break) and made me feel comfortable. So, if you manage to get past the waiting room, you aren’t in a rush, and they actually charge your insurance, I’m sure it’s a fine place to have a test done.
