One of my favorite places to eat, dine-in or take-out. If you’re looking for some good, authentic Chinese cuisine, this is the best place to go. Every dish is cooked to perfection and the staff is so friendly and accommodating that it makes you want to go back more and more. My favorite would be the cashew chicken dish – absolutely delicious. The meat is always nice and tender, the veggies are crisp and the rice is fluffy and melts in your mouth. I don’t know what more you could ask for!

The shrimp with walnut is always excellent. The orange beef, really bad. Parking is good. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

I’ve been eating here since childhood! One of the best Chinese restaurants in the SCV, if not, the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. I highly recommend the wonton soup and honey shrimp! It’s delicious! Food is always really fresh and high quality. Would recommend to anybody!

I don’t like to write a lot of reviews because I am a very harsh critic, however, this restaurant left me with a lot to say. Not many people know a lot about Asian culture, so they write reviews about authentic food they have never tried before. This restaurant brings out a lot of flavor and culture in their food. Not only is the food delicious and exemplary of what authentic Chinese food should taste like, but the customer service is absolutely incredible. The hostess and waiters are so kind and helpful! They make very good recommendations, not just what is more expensive as many other restaurants do. If you want a place that does not agitate you with long lines, slow service, and horrible food, this is your place! The only mediocre part about this place is that the furniture is a tad 2006, but it can easily be overlooked by the wonderful meal they serve you.

All good Chinese food here, go for lunch get a special and eat it there. The walnut shrimp and sauce it comes with is to die for.

I called to place An order for pick up. Which was very simple. Chicken broccoli lunch special. Their response… «we don’t have chicken broccoli, we have beef broccoli?» My response: can you substitute the beef for chicken? Their response? NO. Ok thank you, you just lost a customer. I was really looking to try this restaurant, but since they aren’t willing to meet their customers needs I rather not.

Love the service here. Food is reasonably priced. Food is very good. Not Chinatown quality but definitely great for Santa Clarita Valley. Will continue being a patron here.

Maybe a bad weekend, but Since this establishment has opened it was once or twice a week, then yes, I drifted to other places, yet always came back, because of the friendly service and decent food. However after last night, I have to admit, «Grand Panda» is off my radar. The food was highly disappointing. Especially after I had bragged to my new daughter in-law how nice the food was there. With a variety of dishes we had, should have been a better experience, totally bland. Great atmosphere, just off the mark on food.

Asked the hostess if we could get in and out in 30 minutes. They said no problem, were seated right away and the server came immediately. He brought us back shrimp soft noodles and chicken with asparagus within 5 minutes. Both were so delicious! Perfectly tender chicken and tender crisp asparagus, shrimp not over cooked. A fantastic dinner that hit all the marks!

When I came in to dine, I thought I had found the spot I’d been looking for; finally a Chinese restaurant in the SCV. Ambiance was classic 90’s with booths and reception desk. You could tell this place has a strong clientele. I’m not likely to be one of them. Our rice was dry and overlooked, the Kung Pao had a tart and salty flavor(but was cooked well), the chicken with broccoli was bland and the eggplant was so horrible that it tasted cold inside each piece, and slimy from the same sauce. The service was great but I can’t see us coming back. Food has to taste good to be worth spending money for it. Sorry Panda.

Grand Panda never disappoints! The food is always fresh and tastes amazing! This is my go-to Chinese place and the service is awesome. I’ve gotten to know most of the employees and they’re all super friendly. They always know my number when I call, my order and if I order something different they’ll always tease me about it. I typically come in with either my boyfriend or another member of my family and they’ve all gotten to know us so well that when one of us are missing they’ll ask about them. I know it sounds silly, but I love that they take pride in getting to know their clients. A little bit pricey, but you get great portions so it’s definitely worth it.

It’s really good typical Chinese American dishes but not traditional Chinese dishes. Wish I could find a great traditional Chinese restaurant in Los Angeles.

Food is good but after all these years of being a happy patron, I am starting to suspect that the place could use a good cleaning from top to bottom. The restrooms today were less than desirable. The carpet is filthy and the walls and tile are too. If I were to ever peak my head inside the kitchen I’m afraid at what I might find which makes me uncomfortable. After all these years of my friends, family and neighbors being loyal patrons to this establishment, I think a clean restaurant is a reasonable request.

There is nothing inherently bad about this restaurant, the service or the food, but there is nothing all that great about it either. It’s classic old school Chinese that leaves a plastic coating feeling on your tongue and has you hungry in an hour or two. None of the veggie dishes I have had(mu-shi, vegetable soft noodle) are overflowing with veggies and none of the veggies are crisp or fresh. And their spicy eggplant really left something to be desired… it was mushy with a slightly bitter taste. I can’t say that I know of a great alternative in SCV for conventional style Chinese so if you have a hankering for it and want to stick close, this ain’t a horrible bet… just an average one if you ask me.

My kids love it and that is why we are back for a to go order. This place reminds me of Chinese restaurants in the 80s, showing my age but the 80s were radical ;), in the 80s all Chinese restaurants were the same. Fried everything the food was tasty but we didn’t know any better. I have to agree with a few other reviewers the food tastes bland, the walnut shrimp is super yummy but its covers in sugary goo how can it not be. Wor won ton soup is good but still needs flavor or a kick. I will pick up food for my kiddos here but I usually eat something else.

Food was not bad i recommend the fried rice either beef or pork and orange chicken. Lots of food and big portions. The wait wasn’t horrible maybe 5 – 10 minutes. At first the service was nice and quick but then the waitress got chatty, and a waiter and waitress had a 5 minute argument about who would wait our table. Very annoying and disappointing. It also took a very long time to receive our food after we ordered it and they even got some things wrong it was a terrible experience one of the worst out of all the restaurants ive been to and reviewed not to mention how expensive and over priced the food was terrible from grand panda

Always a great decision to come here. Everything about this place is good: the food, the service, the dining area, and the prices. The only thing they don’t do is deliver so just order for pick-up. This is a great little go to spot that’s great for the whole family or just a chill date. The mood is nice and upscale for Saugus but the prices are not bad. We tried their chicken chow mien, orange chicken and hot and sour soup. These are out three favorites here and the kids love them. The chicken chow mien has tender chicken, crisp veggies and flavorful noodles. The orange chicken has chunks of orange peel in the sauce which takes it over the top for flavor. And my favorite, the hot & sour soup, is prepared just the way I like it but not too salty. They have just enough ingredients that add to the bowl the way they should, but it’s joy too salty. Coming in we never have to wait more than a few minutes unless every table is occupied. They do have a large dining area and more than enough parking. It’s a great experience and the food will keep you coming back!

Easily the worst Chinese restaurant in town. I’ve eaten in the one in Newhall, and the one in Saugus. They’re tied for terrible Chinese food. Try Yang Chow, In Chinatown, Pasadena, and the valley. Then you’ll know what good Chinese food is.

I am just updating my review to bump it up to 5 stars. I stop in at least once a week, and actually find myself craving their food. There is no other local Chinese restaurant I would choose over Grand Panda. Anything less than 5 stars would be selling them short.

My sister’s in-laws are regulars at Grand Panda. Note that there are two locations. Other than the one on Seco Canyon Road(southeast corner of Copper Hill Dr & Seco Canyon Rd), there’s also one on Lyons Avenue east of the 5 freeway and just east of Wiley Canyon Rd. I’ve been to both locations and this was our 2nd time at the Seco Canyon location. I think I prefer the one off Lyons better though. Either way, the service is pretty good at both. The great thing about Grand Panda is that they offer a Lunch Menu on the weekends too which is rare because most restaurants only offer lunch Monday through Friday. Lunch is served 11:30AM-3:00PM daily and comes with an egg roll, Chinese Chicken Salad and Fried Rice. The price is between $ 7.75-$ 8.75. My husband and I were here over the weekend with my sister, my husband’s cousin and his wife. We didn’t order from the lunch menu so we could share dishes family style. We ordered the Hot and Sour Soup($ 5.45), House Special Fried Rice($ 9.25), Chicken with Eggplant in Garlic Sauce($ 11.75), Mangolian Beef($ 13.75), Sesame Chicken($ 13.95), and Walnut Shrimp($ 15.95). We also ordered individual bowls of white rice and brown rice. We ordered too much food and ended up bringing a lot of it home. :) Great option for Mandarin & Szechaun style food when in the Santa Clarita Valley. 113⁄100 Reviews for 2015
