It’s a great little bar to chill out with friends. Carla the bartender and bar manager was super sweet and welcoming. Only had drinks this time… Carla’s specialty drinks like the«Blue Crystal», an ode to Breaking Bad. The live music was good. We are locals and will return and also try out some food next time. If you would want a chill night with friends where you can hear yourselves talking, this is the place… Really comfortable, social and relaxed.

Great bartender. Any bar that serves Booker’s is A-OK in my book. Selling it for $ 11 is even better. Given that it’s attached to the Hotel Chimayo, the ambiance could be a little more subdued, but it’s still nice.

The place was full of life since it was New Year’s Day. The bartenders were great and very speedy. Though it was packed it was lively and full of great people wanting to hang out. The bar is connected to a hotel, but that didn’t make it any less appealing. We will definitely be coming back for a drink again.

A very nice little bar. Unfortunately the restaurant has closed but they still have chips and salsa. Green salsa is very mild. Red salsa is a little spicier but not much. Jordan served up a great margarita.

Gave one star only because I can’t give zero. Avoid this over priced boring bar. Glass of wine(only 2 fingers) $ 10. Pour was so small we thought bartender was bringing us a sample. Unfriendly bartender.

Popped by on a Monday night and it was dead. We were literally the only people on there for a while. The bartender was a little weird but made a good drink. The mojitos and ‘Rita’s were good

This is a go to bar for me. The cocktails are well made with quality ingredients and the bartenders have always been nice to me. During nice weather the patio is beautiful. Lately I’ve been going to the Tuesday night trivia and it has been a lot of fun. Justin the bartender is exceptional. He’s friendly, makes a good cocktail and puts the trivia questions together himself. This trivia night does not take itself too seriously. It is just a really good time. One week it ended in a dance off and last week there was a plank off. Even if you’re not interested in participating in trivia night it’s a good time.

This place is dumb. Slow and weird service. Bartender was breaking glass on the floor just for fun. He served an obviously Drunk guy and then told my friend and I that he had to serve him because he is friends with the owner. He just let this drunk ass harass us. Our drinks were super sickening sweet and tasted like snapple. Way over priced. 20 $ for our two drinks. While we. We’re trying to pay he ignored us for 15 minutes. We were the only people there.

I must be honest, I didn’t like this bar when it first opened because I had a horrible experience with one of the bartenders and they didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Experience is a huge must for me when walking into a bar… I want to know someone has what it takes to make both the locals and tourists keep coming back. Once you treat your locals raw, like my first experience, it’s tough to say anything good… but then they changed the scene a bit and voilà…it magically became a better place to hang. The jazz is awesome, I’d definitely recommend checking it out… some of the best in town!

Location is good, looks nice inside. Fairly busy but not slammed. A decent place to stop by on a night out when you want to hit up other places too. Now the bartender on the other hand. Don’t remember his name, but he looked like Zach Braff. First of all, we sat down at the bar, and sat and sat. It literally took twenty minutes, and my boyfriend practically waving his hand in front of his face to get him to acknowledge us. It wasn’t busy. He helped other walk ups while we were sitting literally directly in front of him. So we order whiskey gingers. Instead of just, I don’t know, giving us what we want he decided to make them with egg whites all along giving some speech about why it’s better. Now, some gray-haired tourist might have loved the scphiel but were clearly aged college kids just trying to drink. And it was accompanied by this attitude of self-importance that can only be borne of a devastating high school life followed by a re-invention followed by bartending classes. But he wasn’t any good at bartending– so it was all very weird. He was delusional. Then, we moved outside and as time went by it got busier. I went back in to order a drink and said«I’m sorry if your slammed just take your time.» I meant it… it was busy and if it took a while I was ok with that. I guess he imagined some sarcasm in my voice and told me «he had no problem kicking out a girl.» K, bro. All in all, on any other night, it might be better. But if Zach’s behind the bar, move on.

A group of friends went on a Wednesday night and had the entire place to ourselves. We got excellent service, the drinks were good. Nice selection of beer. Some of us had food, which was excellent. Will definitely go back for the cool atmosphere and great service. A hidden Santa Fe gem.

This is a cool bar with great music. The bartender was high on crack… not kidding. We would go back because we love the location and the rest of the staff. The whole package is a GO!!! Check your ice though… the crack head bartender broke a glass in the ice and didn’t clean it out. He won’t be there much longer… poor guy!

one of my new favorites. Frito and Aaron(sp?) are fantastic bartenders. if these guys recommend a food or drink item, they know what they are talking about. the Chimayo dogs don’t sound like they should work, but they do. the art is very cool and an accurate representation of Northern New Mexico.

If you wish to be slandered as an Anglo, go to Low and Slow Bar at the Chimayo Inn(formerly the Territorial Inn) in Santa Fe.

I went to Low and Slow to see the scenery and try the drinks. I was impressed at how authentic the atmosphere is. Being from NM I truly appreciated the vinyl booths that looked like the inside of an old car, the awesome pictures of old school low riders, and metal chain steering wheel tables. I had a few of their drinks which were all very tasty. I like that all of the drink descriptions have a story behind them. I didn’t try the food but all of the menu items seemed like traditional NM comfort foods. They had frito pies, chili dogs, green chili cheese burgers, tamales, posole, and enchiladas. I should also mention that our bartender Andrew was very personable and made our experience. I will definitely be back to try the food.
