My wife and I were very pleased with Dr. Romeroso – I’m actually quite surprised to see the negative reviews here.
To us, she was understanding, knowledgeable and very helpful. And she is very approachable and easy to talk to.
She even went out of her way to rush and see us at the hospital!
I would certainly give her a try to see if she fits your style.
We give her an A+!

I left her an URGENT message two months ago and never heard back. I called dozens of times hoping to speak to someone but ultimately I had to see another doctor. I called this morning about another urgent matter and I don’t expect to hear back from her at all this time either. Don’t even bother going to this doctor, she’s terrible.

Very dismissive. I’ve had bleeding and cramps between cycles and after the regular pelvic ultrasound showed nothing, she said this was all normal and sometimes they don’t know why. Well it was NOT normal for me. That’s why I was there! There are other imaging tests besides that one that could have been performed. She offered me an endometrial biopsy. And «offer» is what she said. How she went from «it’s normal» to «let’s schedule an invasive procedure» is beyond me. I wouldn’t let this woman give me an injection let alone deliver something as precious as a baby.

I have seen Dr. Romeroso throughout my uncomplicated pregnancy. She seems knowledgeable but there is no warmth or empathy in her bedside manner. She was all business and did not either have the time for or care to take the time for patient education.
There were times when I asked her to help me identify the location of my growing uterus or how the baby was positioned (later in pregnancy), she never once touched my belly. She just brushed off my requests saying «We can check at the next ultrasound.» I just found this odd for an OB!
There is nothing really «wrong» with her as a doctor but I want more from my OB, especially as a first time mom.
The front office staff is great though, always friendly and helpful. I also never had a problem making an appointment. Lastly, the UCLA online portal for appointments, lab results etc is really great too.

Romeroso has seen me throughout my pregnancy. I give her three stars because she’s not a horrible doctor, but there is room for improvement. To me she «hears you», but she doesn’t know how to identify or empathize with her patients. Whenever I told her about a concern I had, she would simply say «it’s normal». After a while, I just chucked it up to her not being a mother, and never having to go through pregnancy.
I was also told that when I go into labor any of the doctors in the office will deliver my baby. I was hoping that the same doctor who saw me throughout my pregnancy was going to be there. I don’t know these doctors and have no relationship with them. I like physicians who are passionate about their job and don’t treat patients like a number. However, that is their system and it works for them.
On a different occasion, Romeroso checked her cell phone while she was in the room with me. It wasn’t a «whip your phone out and check», but more like a quick three second glance. I know it’s not much to some people, and yes, I know she is a doctor, and maybe she felt comfortable to do that since I have somewhat of a laid back attitude, but still, I found it unprofessional. Sweetie is an OB/​GYN, not an emergency room surgeon.
Lastly, the only reason I draw attention to these things is because my sister and I have the same due date. I went with her to see her OB, and I received more information and better care from her, and I wasn’t even her patient. Like I said, she’s not horrible, but there is room for improvement.
A good thing is that I’ve never had to wait more then ten minutes to see her after I checked in. The front office staff knew who I was by my second trimester and are always friendly. However, if I do get pregnant again, I want another physician.

My wife saw Dr. Romeroso and was immediately put off by her attitude and inability to listen. The doctor was dismissive and cut her off whenever she interjected her opinion or thoughts on how to move forward.

I have to agree with Kiki on this. The doctor doesn’t return phone calls. Doesn’t have voicemail. The only way to correspond with her is through email. I’ve yet to hear back.
