I am not a fan of Fred Segal, but I will definitely brave the hellish traffic in Santa Monica to shop at Conveyor. My new favorite place for shoes in LA. Love all their unique selection of Vans and SeaVees. Words cannot describe how much I love my new pair of SeaVee shoes. Friendly, easy going staff(a rarity among the FS shops).

Located within the Fred Segal building on the west side of Broadway… a small-ish boutique inventory of clothes. I had my eye on shoes — with prices being fairly reasonable for casual shoes and sneakers($ 80 – 110), all the way to pricey über-cool boots(the ones i liked, but didn’t buy, were $ 380). Alas, I walked out empty-handed, but will plan on going back with the Amex soon. Nice and helpful guy, Joey, there to help pick out something slick.

Great workers here. Very friendly and helpful. I had a store credit dated 2005 and he called the owner I guess and they excepted it. But Why would you not? weird. But I had to figure out what I wanted there wasn’t much for ladies to pick more for guys. While I was looking for what to buy the hubby was playing with another customer on there Foosball table. So I finally found what I wanted after 45 mins of the husband playing Foosball. They didn’t have one of the sizes I wanted to try on but thank goodness they did have the one that fit me. I was still left with $ 15.00 and I so did not want to have store credit again. So we just bought a pair of vans for our daughter. All in all the place is cool. Prices are a little high on things. The workers are cool and friendly.

High end boutique with grown man styling Conveyor is located inside Fred Segal Santa Monica right off 5th Street. They stock Vans Vault, Gourmet, NSW, BBC, Akomplice, Staple, Super, Huf, & G-Shock. They are typically more of a high end store, don’t expect a sale. The shop’s design is very minimalist and modern, accented in exotic wood. There is parking in the back just walk through the café. Overall it is pretty small and only has a few shelves dedicated to apparel. I think their Vans is probably their strongest account by far. The most memorable release here probably being the Simpson’s Vans in ’07.

If you’re looking for the a rare pair of Dunks or the John Varvatos Vans collaboration then look no further. Conveyor carries are a variety of rare colorways, limited edition shoes, and special releases. You can also find some of the latest trends in street wear, hats, hoodies, shoes, and accessories. The prices are a little high, but if you’re walking into Conveyor you already know that you’re paying top dollar for thier rare wares. This place is for the gotta have it before it’s cool kinda guy who is willing to push the limits when it comes to fashion and trends. I love this store and Conveyor sure does a great job filling this niche market, and if you don’t mind paying a bit more for the latest in cool then Conveyor is the the place to be. And for all you fashion forward folks out there who also like getting a good deal look out for the Big Sale that happens once a year where they drop their pants and slash prices up to 70%. If you ask me its a great time to scoop some new threads, as well as those dunks you have been eying for the past few months.

Fred Segal is a real local gem and I like the Santa Monica edition because it is huge. Conveyor is one of the only boutiques end up shopping at, but I enjoy checking out the rest just as much. The kicks line up is somewhat interesting, but I go because they are exclusive in the city on a couple wicked clothing lines.

A concession inside the Fred Segal in Santa Monica. Never the first with or an exclusive carrier, Conveyor has a decent cohesive collection of kicks assembled, but mostly for browsing purposes. Prices are nothing special, but then again, when has price really mattered to afficianados? Last time I was there, the kicks assembled were more skatewear than street.

Conveyor keeps Fred Segal edgier with kicks some apparel and an always interesting art installation. The store gets five stars for the installations: Brasil team soccer and now super dope bamboo t-shirts from Arbor — without a doubt the softest T I’ve ever worn make the spot worth the visit.
