I am informed by another Hanson, investor in San Francisco Hanson Gallery and presumably family of Judy Hanson of Sausalito, that it went bankrupt and, furthermore, that my certificates are not valid because they were not signed. Also he claims that my cash receipt was not the type of receipt his gallery used at the time in San Francisco. He suggests that I purchased the two lithos«from the back door» in a manner of speaking from an authorized salesperson SOMEHOW. What he did not know is that I have a CREDITCARD original receipt for one of the lithos, the Dali in question, dated 30 July 1982, with Hanson Gallery San Francisco and my name on the receipt. Clearly this is not only a case of carelessness in typing but outright fraud. I have sent him a copy of the receipt. More to follow…

The Hanson Gallery of Fine Art in Sausalito showcases some of the best contemporary art available for sale in California. With local and international artists, there is something for everyone. Very upscale, very helpful staff. This is a great art gallery! Check it out.

It is a well known fact that I love going to an art gallery. Just being able to view someone’s work, knowing the efforts that were put into each piece and being able to witness that creativity is exhilerating. Okay so maybe I’m a litle bit of an art nerd but I appreaciate the beauty of hard work and a creative mind so it’s only natual that when I was in Sausalito that I stop by some of the galleries. Of the many I could talk about there really is only one that took me back. Hanson Gallery had a very impressive selection of a gorgeous French artist called Jaline Pol who is absolutely amazing. Her work is oil based and she uses a knife… a knife to place the paint on the canvas. What appears black is actually 10 different colors that range from purple to green. Her flowers are breathtaking and I found myself staring into one specific canvas that I wish I could have purchased. The curators at Hanson’s Gallery are very knowledgeable and told me all about Ms Pol’s work and talked about the art of each of her strokes. I was impressed and am still impressed just thinking about it. Jaline will actually be attending an opening of her work next month and I believe that I will be attending because I am now completely turned onto her work. Though it is a little expensive for a piece of her home it has made a permanent marking on my checklist in life to save up and purchase one of her exclusive prints.
