Took my wife on Valentines Day for brunch. We were both excited to finally try Murray Circle. We were seated promptly for our 1:30 reservation. The busboy came by with water but for over 10 minutes no one acknowledged us. The manager noticed us, asked if anyone had greeted us we responded no. He was very gracious and we ordered 2 lattes($ 8 for a latte wow). The waiter came by 5 minutes later took our order and we didn’t see our food for over 20 minutes. There were many empty tables near us. My wife’s quiche was excellent my eggs benedict were barely room temperature and the spinach was cold. We eventually flagged down our waiter, he immediately apologized and had a new order out in five minutes, eggs benedict were very good. I had to get new silverware from an empty table since mine were removed with the cold order. There were 2 pepper shakers on our table had to again search an empty table for salt. Our waiter was not to be found The person that saved the whole experience was a busboy that recognized us from a former restaurant he worked at. He saw my wife’s empty water glass and muttered bad service and sent someone over asap. The next thing we knew we had 2 of the most incredible desserts delivered one chocolate one lemon. Our expectations were high given the Michelin review I read. The experience was a far cry from that review.

It was ok. I just expected more. The wine list was overpriced. I mean wow, not really anything under $ 90. Luckily we had a gift certificate of $ 150, which just covered 1 bottle of wine. I’m normally not hard to please but it was just not a 5 star experience. We went later, hoping to be out of the kids dinner time window, but no luck(we have kids, so when I go on a date night for a 8:15 seating, I really don’t want like to have other people’s kids talking loud around me and bumping into my chair, especially when I’m paying $ 300 for dinner!). Maybe this restaurant pulls families in because of the lodge? Which is probably great for them, but I’ll go some where else for a date night next time. Positives?: Quail was super yummy and cooked just right. Charcuterie had a duck pastrami that was pretty amazing. Food was rich and flavorful.

Good kale salad and great service– when we complained about our main courses the server graciously took them off the bill. Very meat-centric and not a place for health conscious eaters. Un drinkable decaf coffee which was taken off our bill as well! It gets three stars for the location, service and the fact that it stays open late!

Overrated. If I go to a restaurant of this caliber, I expect the food to be better than what I cook at home. Not even close, and the side dishes were uncomplimentary to the main course. The dessert was no where near what a panna cotta should taste like. Overall, not worth the price tag. Will never return.

I have to believe that they were having an off-day when I ate here, as my experience did not live up to my expectations. After spending the morning at the spa, my two girlfriends and I sat down for a leisurely lunch around 12:30. There weren’t that many guests dining, and we got a great spot on the porch. Our server was very friendly and engaging, the food was mostly tasty, but everything else was off. For starters we ordered the truffle fries, marinated olives, and quinoa mac & cheese. The truffle fries were delicious — a must-order no matter what else you plan on eating. The olives had a odd taste to them that I couldn’t place; maybe too many spices? The hummus that came with it was very bland and not worth eating. The quinoa mac & cheese was fantastic, perhaps my favorite dish that we ordered. Not too cheesy, and the quinoa gave the dish a great crunch. For the entrees, we ordered the burger, the lentil garden burger, and the forest mushrooms on grilled flatbread. Both the burger and the garden burger were super flavorful. Both dishes were presented well, and I loved the dip that came with the homemade potato chips. The mushroom flatbread was very lackluster. It had almost no flavor and every time you picked up a piece of bread, all of the toppings fell off. Food aside, what really surprised me was the lack of table service. I had to flag someone down every time I needed my water glass refilled(which was at least five times). At that point, shouldn’t people assume that I will keep asking for more water? Plates were never removed from the table, which I also found super weird. We’d try stacking dirty dishes and leaving them at the edge of the table, but no one picked them up until we asked. Normally it doesn’t bother me, but the table was not large enough to causally sit among a stack of dirty dishes. Towards the end of the meal, the server came by less and less. Not sure if she thought we needed more time to gab, but it took us 10 minutes to ask for the check, and then another 15 minutes to get the check. When we finally got the check we were told that the machine was down and she had had to write everything down by hand, but I don’t think it should have been such a time-consuming process. All in all, the meal was almost a 3.5 hour ordeal, and yes, we did have a LOT to talk about, but ordering, the time in between courses, and getting the check accounted for a lot of that time. Again, I’m going to assume it was an off-experience, because I would expect more from Cavallo Point.

The view and the location are amazing. Come for a drink on the porch, but avoid falling into the trap of this being a nice location for a special meal. We thought this would be a great spot for a New Years Day brunch, and while the view was great and the food was actually really good, the service was terrible. We had to flag people down to get everything — waters, coffee, napkins, refills, food, check on food, check on food again, etc. The«main» waiter only stopped by our table twice and both times seemed VERY annoyed to be standing there, barely making eye contact and rushing through. It was ridiculous — especially given how empty the dining room was, which also gave it sort of an old and weird vibe. My husband overheard the waiter tell someone to add the standard group gratuity to our bill because«technically the two kids make it six people», which would be fine by the way, if his service came anywhere near deserving of that. No thanks!

My love and I come here for breakfast and dinner! You must have a reservation to eat here. There is a sister restaurant next door, burger bar which also has great food and on top can be served at the Murray circle! I most differently recommend their breakfast Manu. It is very good. They have many different plates and choices. Benedict is my favorite and my baby loves their french toast which she highly recommends!

A strong 4. Enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration with a group of friends. It was a fixed menu and we had several choices to choose from. I chose the star route farms lettuces salad. It had persimmon, toasted hazelnuts, cabecou croutons with a champagne vinaigrette. It was very tasty and fresh. The persimmons were a little hard but had good flavor. This is worth ordering. My next dish was the Prather ranch grass fed beef burger. It was pretty good– a very thick burger with a nice bun — red onions and lettuce– very traditional with fiscalini cheddar. It was a little under cooked and needed a little more seasoning– but all in all a good burger. It was accompanied with potato chips in some type of mayo/pickle dip– we were not sure. but it was just OK. I head the truffle fries are delicious– so I will order that next time. For desert we had a delicious chocolate cake with vanilla Bavarian filling and buttercream for the frosting. I didn’t ask if this was brought in for the party– or if it was something they carry– but I would ask about this if I were you because it was incredible. I’m not a big chocolate fan– and I wanted more. Wow! Great place, incredible view. incredible! Give this place a shot– you won’t be disappointed . A 4.5 if I could.

Visited this restaurant at Cavallo Point with my sister for lunch. It was the day before I attended the massive Dreamforce event in San Francisco. What a view! even on a cloudy day, the bridge and peaks of the city buildings made for spectacular conversation from the porch. I had the Star Route salad with a champagne vinaigrette, followed by truffle fries and a grass fed burger. This was a simple selection but the food was delicious. And, the hostess and waitress were extremely friendly and helpful. To top it off, you can go for a relaxing, picturesque walk afterwards.

Actually, I might rate this one star less but the fact that our out of town guests seemed to enjoy the food and the ambience was nice, three stars will have to do. But our food was only mediocre. My husband ordered the waffles which arrived cold. I ordered the salmon omelet and the eggs were tough, under seasoned and over-cooked. You have to really hate cooking eggs to mess up like this. For the price, we expect better and will not return nor bring guests again.

Had high hopes for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner experience but it wasn’t the best for $ 85 per person. Mushy green bean, mushy overcooked brussel sprouts, dry overcooked dark turkey meat & overcooked prime rib. Buffets can be tough for a chef to perfect but everything was blah except the scalloped potato dish. The appetizer & seafood plating was off — plate size of a large serving spoon. The room vibe felt like a bad wedding. Good jazz music that saved the experience for us. This will not be our chose to dine again for 10 people not worth it.

Dinner was a bit formal for us Angelinos. We forget that people really wear jackets to dinner. We ate early and got a beautiful corner table. Great service and our waiter, Justin made the meal special We had the salmon and a special lite green salad made for us. At the end of the meal there was a colorful sunset to kiss us off into the night. Best would be lunch or cocktails on the patio.

Fancy schmancy place! Came here after a hike with my work team on a Friday afternoon for lunch. We had our private room due to early reservations. We were served pretty Voss water — which is when I knew it was super fancy lol! We had a prix fixe menu which I ordered the persimmons salad, pumpkin gnocchi, almond Apple tart desserts with truffled fries on the side. The servings were generous, but I felt like the food didn’t super stand out to me. The persimmons in my salad was a new thing to me and lacked dressing or flavor, the gnocchi was very bland, especially the pumpkin pieces, and the Apple tart was not bad but it also didn’t stand out to me. The truffled fried were demolished once we sat down since we were all so hungry, but I love fries so it was good! Truffled anything is good honestly: p the service was lacking as well — our server never offered us drink menus in the beginning or even appetizers to start with. He hopped into our lunch orders and came back to tell us we didn’t reach the minimum we signed up for, which wasn’t our fault since they didn’t offer appetizers or drinks and my team is never under so it was shocking. That’s when we ordered our wines, champagne, and appetizers. They did serve our meals all at once so we didn’t have to wait for one another but I felt like the staff was just hired or something because they didn’t seem very professional on how they were serving us. I felt like their arms always got in the way of where we were sitting and talking when they served. The view and weather was amazing though so it’s definitely a place to chill at but the food was only okay.

Came here for brunch with the family and had a great experience. The staff was super accommodating with our customizations(«Can I add avocado to that?», «Hollandaise on the side, please!», and«Drip coffee with almond milk, please!», and the food was really delicious. The patio view of the Golden Gate Bridge didn’t hurt either! A few notes: — When we ordered coffee, our waiter immediately poured our coffees and then took at least 15 – 20 minutes handling other tables before he brought cream and almond milk. As a result, when he brought the milks our coffees were cold :(It would make more sense in the future for staff to bring the coffee/tea and milk/cream together(as most restaurants normally do), as opposed to rushing to provide coffee first. — One of my poached eggs was really undercooked. As in, the whites were almost raw, liquidy and transparent, instead of wobbly yet cooked as they should be. — The cushions on the patio had some noticeable/old stains on them — not a huge offense, but the staff may want to think about steam cleaning them every once in a while so guests don’t get spooked.

If you are in town, Sausalito or San Francisco and looking for a lovely breakfast with great foggy Golden Gate Bridge view then Murray Circle is the place. I Love coming down to Murray Circle early in the morning, when the fog is still clearing up and the rest of the bay just waking up. A warm cup of delicious coffee and the fresh outside breeze puts me in the comfort mood. Not to mention the choices of food is offered. I love starting out with a basket of fresh baked muffins and other delicious carbs with a warm coffee and then have either pancakes or two eggs any style. I think I can speak for everyone, we all have a routine what we like to eat in the mornings. I can honestly say, I think i tried everything at Murray Circle for breakfast and eventually found my comfort food. Murray Circle is also lovely for dinner. I had couple dates here with my love, and we just love coming here, getting away from the outside and fall deeply in love with Murray Circle and each other!

Man, what a disappointment. Went here with the family for my birthday brunch. The food was actually four stars in my book but our server made the whole experience more of two stars overall. We were seated at an outdoor table designed to fit 1 – 3(we were five). That worked OK for the drinks and apps. Our server took our drink order and promised he would be back with waters. No waters appeared until we asked bus staff some time later. When our server appeared with our second round of drinks he had to be prompted to clear our crowded table of the empties from the first round. Not going too well. When our main courses arrived it was obvious it wouldn’t fit on our table. The bussers brought a small additional table that was 1.5 ft shorter than our other table. This didn’t work. I asked the server for another normal sized table and he said he would check with the hostess as «it wasn’t my decision». Ridiculous! There were diners all around us who had been provided with a second table. I took it upon myself to seize another table and the bussers quickly came over to help. Our server never came to check on how we were doing after our main dishes came, only returning with the dessert menus. The food, on the other hand, was very good. My eggs beny was perfect and my Dad’s chicken sandwich was yummy. My wife wasn’t thrilled with her burger but it tasted pretty good to me(serves you right for ordering it well done!). Cocktails were excellent and I highly recommend the Ramos Fizz. Such a shame for a meal to be ruined by a server that seemed to be completely checked out.

We enjoyed an intimate dinner last night after a Monday spa getaway. The restaurant was very dreamy and rustic. The bar across the way seem vibrant and lively in contrast to the live piano music of the main dining room. Service was top of the line but it was not a full house either. We opted for the a la carte option ak thought the 6 course tasting menu for $ 90 looked like a pretty good deal. We started with the half charcuterie board. Standouts were the duck lover toast and fennel sausage. Then we enjoyed the burrata and stone fruit salad and the bone marrow. Both were flavorful but nothing outstanding. The seafood stew was a garlicky tomato based broth with a variety of shellfish. The best dish by far was the quail with polenta and chard. Full of flavor, tender and just the right size portion. We had ordered the boar ribs but cancelled it as we were getting stuffed. Dessert was surprisingly good — a caramel macadamia but tart with brûléed banana and ice cream. We’re glad we got to experience Cavallo Point at night — it seemed miles away from the bustle of San Francisco.

Honestly, I’ve never had dinner inside Murray Circle, although I’m looking forward to it. But I have had several breakfasts on their deck while I stayed at Cavallo Point Lodge. In fact, part of the essential Cavallo experience for me is sitting on that(sometimes chilly) outside patio and have an amazing omelette and their incredibly flakey croissants with coffee, all while staring out at SF Bay, Marin Headlands and the GG Bridge. Nothing is ever out of place, and after 7 – 8 breakfasts, I’ve never been unhappy with anything, or sent anything back. Just remember to dress for the ever-changing weather, and sit under the heat lamps.

I often eat at Murray Circle enjoying the view on the balcony. On Friday nights I go to the beach and then to Cavallo Point Murray Circle for dinner as an attitude adjustment. this helps me ease into the weekend. The food is top notch! Dinner, Desserts, breakfast, and the cheese plates are well worth the money. The prices are in line with any other very nice restaurant in Marin County however the view is to die for. The Balcony has large benches with heaters and blankets for cold nights. I would definitely go here for a cup of tea, a glass of wine and cheese or for a full meal.
