I travel for work and have the opportunity to sample great food from all over the world. The quality and freshness is on the same level as VooDoo donuts in Portland. Not a flashy store, just outstanding baked goods. I make it a point to stop in whenever I visit my parents in the area.

We ordered off the menu and did not do the family style option. I was really excited as they advertised themselves as serving farm fresh food. Wow what a disappointment! We ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn. It was awful. I am not a critical foodie type of person, but honestly it really was awful. The potatoes tasted like they came from a box, the corn from a cheap can and the fried chicken was tough. I would compare the food to an all you can eat gross buffet. I was planning on getting the sour cream apple pie but after the disappointing meal, I wasn’t even open to trying it. Keep driving and pass on this place.

This place is a local classic. They have some of the best donuts around! The only (and I mean only) downfall is that the place itself isn’t the cleanest or prettiest. I recommend it for takeout! Great way to impress those from out of town!

You simply cannot get these awesome donuts anywhere else. Period. You must try them and then understand. They just don’t compare. Love the heavy cake donuts and sprinkles.

A woman who grew up in the area raved about the wonderful sprinkled donuts this place makes so we stopped by and bought a dozen or so (they weren’t ALL for us,) and a couple of coffees. It was only $ 8 and change! The best donuts I’ve had in years and unlike a dunkin donuts, they don’t leave a bad after taste in your mouth. If your in the area and want to try a local treat, this is one to bookmark!
