I am always apprehensive in choosing a dentist whenever we move to a new city. I have had too many experiences where the most costly solution has been imposed upon me, or my family. Dr. Munk is caring and conscientious; he uses a more minimalist approach and will not encourage unnecessary dental work. I had a tooth that had cracked in half, and he was able to reconstruct it for me. Pretty amazing!

I want to give him a 3 star because I simply don’t like going to the dentist and he happens to be one. That said, I had to give him a 5 because he IS a Dentist and I not only survived, but feel like I found my Dentist for life.
He is conscientious, kind and caused me no pain (and neither did the cleaning).
Thanks, Doc. I can’t say I love going to the dentist yet, but I can say that I won’t avoid it anymore because of you. :-)

Overall this is an okay dentist office. Getting an appointment was painless and the dental care we received was fine. My primary concern was that the office felt outdated and more importantly the equipment and dental practices felt outdated compared to my last few dentists (having went from home to college and then college to Seattle). Additionally the fact that we were able to get two appointments back to back in relatively short time makes me wonder why they aren’t more busy.

Dr. Munk has been taking care of at least two generations of my family for at least 25 years. I love his minimalist and straightforward approach to dentistry, especially in contrast to other dentists who insist on multiple x-​rays and procedures. He rarely recommends things to be done immediately so when he does we get it taken care of quickly.
Takes Delta Dental insurance, easy to park, has early AM hours– just great.

Best dentist I have ever been to. He looks for the least invasive solution, pays attention to what you say, and treats you like a person instead of a job. He doesn’t push you to have work done that isn’t completely necessary or to come in for extra visits. Rates are super reasonable – a comfort for someone who does’t have insurance. Plus the receptionist is super nice!

Dr. Munk has been caring for my teeth since I was 6 years old. As a testament to him, I have never had a cavity. As I’ve gotten older I have of course had various issues (root canal, wisdom tooth extraction, capping a chipped tooth) and his dentistry has been excellent every time. He has never recommended a procedure which was not necessary, and has always had good results.
I once needed a wisdom tooth pulled when I wasn’t living in Seattle, so I went to a different dentist. When I compare that experience to the experience I had with Dr. Munk for the same procedure, there is no comparison. The other dentist was average, but Dr. Munk is exceptional. Dr. Munk is gentle, knowledgeable, and good at being a dentist.

Retired without insurance and the victum of overly expensive and misleading dental service we followed Unilocal recommendations to Dr. Munk and couldn’t be happier.
He is friendly and the best dentist my wife has ever been to. He did wonderful work and was very reasonable. I’ve already recommended him to family that live in the area.

I return to Dr Munk year after year, knowing I will get the best care possible. He’s relaxed, very present and a clear communicator. I feel included in considering options, and I’ve learned to relax about miniscule nerve pain, as well as to «brush the teeth I want to keep!»

I can only echo the other reviews here about personal attention, no-​nonsense attitude and great care. He does not have $ 300,000 machines that require $ 2,000 «recommended» fixes. He remembers me as a person, not just a patient. Highly recommend.

Dr. Munk is probably the friendliest and most gentle dentist I’ve ever been to. As someone who doesn’t have dental insurance, his rates are really reasonable. He’s also really easy to get in with, even as a new patient.
I would definitely agree with the other reviewer who said that Dr. Munk has an «if it ain’t broke don’t fix it» approach. I went to see him after not going to the dentist for several years and although he told me what we needed to keep an eye on, his first concern really seemed to be only doing what was necessary for my dental health and nothing that was unnecessary.
Thanks to Dr. Munk I think I’m actually committed to going to the dentist every 6 months. Bravo!

Root canal, schmoot canal. Dr. Munk made it quick, easy, and pain-​free. And best of all, I think I may finally be over my fear of going to the dentist. It took 30+ years and a practically dead molar, but I can say with 99.1% confidence that I will no longer shake in my boots at the thought of opening wide and saying «aaaahhhhh.»
There’s something really calming about Dr. Munk. His relaxed demeanor put me at ease instantly, and he didn’t berate me for letting my tooth go to sh*t. I quickly got over my embarrassment when he assured me that everything was going to be okay.
I was in and out in under an hour. A day and two Aleve tablets later, and I’m feeling great! No aches, swelling, or soreness – just utter happiness and a huge sense of relief.
I’m going back for more work and am so excited about getting my choppers back to their original glory.

Dr Munk was a real find. The two dentists I had prior to him were always trying to sell me something. I finally quit Dr. Chavez after 10 yrs because $$$$ seemed to be the key to everything. Then I chose a Dr. Wu or something like that who wanted to re do all of Dr. Chavez’s work. A co-​worker mentioned Dr. Munk. What an incredible «find»…He never pressures and just takes care of what needs to be done. My last visit was complaint about pain coming from one tooth. He saw me right away and ended up taking only one root from the toothe and it ended up being the right one instead of taking them all out and costing me more. My dental insurance always pays him in full as his prices are always within the reasonable price and I’ve never had this happen. I’ve been going to him for about 3 yrs and recently moved to Everett from Seattle but will continue to see Dr. Munk.

Dr. Munk was recommended to me by several people. He has a very hands-​off «if it ain’t broke don’t fix it» approach (and his office location and décor reflects that, too) to dentistry. He and his staff stress preventative dentistry (develop good hygeine habits, eat well, etc) rather than curative dentistry (just be disgusting, never brush, and pull out those rotten teeth later $cha-​ching cha-​ching$). I have not yet had any dental work, such as fillings requiring novocaine, etc, at Dr. Munk’s office, but my friends have and they say it’s not a painful experience with him. I’ve actually had good experience with dentists all my life, so I expect this trend to continue with Dr. Munk. If it doesn’t, I will definitely let the rest of you know!
