I am visiting Seattle for the first time, and I have discovered a fantastic dog-friendly coffee shop: Bark! Espresso– with its side room, the Hound Hangout. Both areas are family-friendly with homey, pet-themed décor. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and in the Hound Hangout there is heating in the winter and A/C in the summer with a handy, nice-sized window to the baristas for ordering. By the way, the baristas are first-rate! – friendly and knowledgeable. They brew a variety of coffees, chai, and teas with beautiful illustrations on the Macchiato and other drinks. The food is out of this world! The menu of in-house, homemade foods is mouth-watering, and there are also tasty desserts to enjoy with that one more cup of coffee. I had the homemade meatloaf sandwich. What a treat! The toasted bread, yummy meatloaf, juicy tomatoes, and fresh, crisp lettuce were a perfect combination. The chips are unusually tasty! I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends, and I’ll be back! I suggest that everyone try this great coffee shop!

I ended up working a half-day due to a medical appointment in Northgate and I had about an hour and a half to kill. I did my «coffee shop» search on Unilocal and sure enough Bark! Espresso popped up as the top search. I headed that way and it was super easy to find. The outer décor is simple to the touch and once you get inside it’s very ambient. I really like what the owner did to the shop. There’s beauty in simplicity and I got that from Bark. I ordered a 8oz decaf Americano and I gotta tell ya, it was the best damn coffee I’ve had. Café Larusso(locally harvested and distributed) is REALLY good, but Bark’s beans were right up there(who’s your supplier anyways?). Bark, you have made it to my top 3 of favorite coffee shops! Oh and I got the homemade peanut butter-gluten-free cookie… it was literally staring me at the face… Yum.

I’m in Seattle for business and I Unilocaled a nearby coffee shop. The novelty of the latte art here attracted me. I pulled up and tried to park directly in front of the shop, on the street, but I saw a knocked over sign that labeled that spot for loading and unloading. I drove around multiple times, even considered parking down the street and walking about .3 miles. But I finally saw an opening in their lot, which has two spaces. It’s a very quiet shop. I thanked the barista for bringing my hazelnut almond milk latte to my table and felt I spoke too loud. This place is definitely a spot you can be productive and get a lot done. Apparently the other side is a place for doggie owners and their fur babies can hang out and order coffee and food. I saw a woman and her Yorkie, wishing I had my Pomeranian. They have good coffee and even though the shop is intimate, there’s a lot of room for many people. I have a thing for alternative milks and this place has soy, rice and almond(it’s an additional .60).

I love this place!!! It’s so homey! I love the bunny latte and the pesto breakfast sandwich. It’s so relaxing. I would come back here every chance I get. The pesto breakfast sandwich has the perfect mixture of salt sweet and heartiness. I HIGHLYRECOMMENDTHISPLACE!

This is a review for the dog side. To start off, I loved the idea. I loved that I could enjoy coffee with a friend while not having to leave my pooch at home. Next time though I’m just going to go to another coffee shop and leave the pup at home. The dog side is WAY different than the«non dog side». The tables were older, it looked a little dirty, it was very small and the only contact you have with the employees is a small window. It’s a nice place if you just want a coffee and read a book with your dog, but if you want a «nice brunch» feel for breakfast, I would go elsewhere. Recommendations to make the place better: –better looking menu/let us know what the pasties are on the other side — I was excited for coffee art since I read about it, didn’t get that on the doggie side. — update paint –better set up so people can talk with friends and not be right next to someone else. I really wanted to like this place but the comparison to the other side is such too drastic

Small, crowded, noisy. Cute and intimate though. Staff seems kind, prices good. I went once.

Phoebe, my dog, had the Pooch’s peanut butter latte and I had my almond milk latte. Both were enjoyed tremendously. The provides separate room for taking time with your pouch! A great place to relax while I am getting my tires changed.

Great local coffee shop. There are fresh pastries every morning from local bakeries. The baristas are artists, they have made me beautiful drinks. Their lunch items are simple but tasty. My favorite sandwich is the BLT, they put a nice herb spread on it. Skip Starbucks, support this great local business.

Great vibe here. Truly a «third place» where locals can gather for conversation or to read a book. What really makes this place special is the barista team. The dog theme is due to the adjacent and affiliated business — dog grooming and boarding. And the foam art is unsurpassed.

Expertly crafted coffee paired with fantastic service. The gentleman who works here is amazing, and always takes good care of his customers. Perfect place to get a coffee to go, or hang out and get some work done. Love that it’s dog friendly too! Highly recommend!

Great spot, with parking and lots of space. The barista was very courteous, as well. The place was empty when we were there, and all I got was a GF scone, which was pretty good!

The coffee is great. The employees are great. It’s a great place to sit and work UNLESS the freaking guy running his contractor business from the table behind you is CONSTANTLY talking LOUDLY on the phone and disturbing the peace.

I came in yesterday, because my one of the ladies at my chiropractors office told me they have a lot of gluten free options. I decided on the vegan/gluten free raspberry almond scone. The woman who served me was super friendly. The scone was way tastier than I was even expecting, and the price was very reasonable. Most of the time gluten free goodies are really expensive, so it was a very nice surprise. All in all the experience was so excellent that last night I was asking my dad to take me back for another scone in my dreams. Literally.

The first time I went into Bark espresso, I was greeted with a sunny smile and a cheerful hello and every time since it has been exactly the same. The staff is friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and enjoyable. Often that friendly interaction first thing in the morning is all that you need to get your day started off on the right foot. The coffee is strong extremely potent with caffeine they serve macarina baked goods as well as local bagels. Though I haven’t tried their sandwiches, I am sure that they will be delicious. Each order is served with a smile and love. Sometimes cute fairies in my espresso foam.

Adorable place! Tucked just outside of a doggie daycare. Definitely dog friendly and very cozy. Coffee was great too. Friendly staff as well. I’d love to come back to see what else they have to offer. I unfortunately was only stopping by to grab a quick cup!

I love that I can bring my pooch to a coffee shop!!! And I would have given this place 5 stars, if it weren’t for the overcooked, super salty mini quiche. I may as well have been eating a hot sponge with bacon thrown on top. I’ll definitely come back, though, because my latte was delicious and my dog had a good time. I just know not to order the gross, springy breakfast pie.

I was thinking about part of my parents’ pets the other day and decided to hit this place up for some dog lovin’ and watchin’… sadly, there weren’t any the quiet afternoon I went but a few were outside walking along and I did have a nice pumpkin latte here. The lady was rather chill and friendly. This is a neat lil space in a dog community and rather peaceful-ish area of the neighborhood. You can also game it up in there with a few choices to pick from.

The people here are beyond friendly and the service is great. If you go with your dog, go on the left side. There is a window where you order your food and even a latte for your dog! Get the Anytime burrito with Jalapeño ranch dressing. It is heaven :)
