On my most recent trip to Seattle, I visited the Clog Factory because it’s pretty difficult to find a good pair. I’ve been here before, as my most recent purchase was the second that I purchased from the Clog Factory. Although I was looking for a pair of Dansko clogs, they didn’t have the one I wanted in the right size. The owner mentioned that I could purchase a Sanita, as they were the makers of Dansko clogs several years ago. The owner seemed like a nice person, and was appreciative for the repeat business.

I am a clogoholic — never without a pair since my first winter in Chicago, where I wore them in the snow. Because of the wooden platform, my feet stayed dry and toasty. In California, I kept them at the door in case I had errands to run in little time. 1, 2, nicely dressed and out! It’s not easy to wear out clogs but they eventually show their age — get a little loose, have scuffs that polish or dye just doesn’t disguise, etc. Facing the inevitable, I went looking for new ones but all any store I found seemed to stock was Dansko. They’re ok, I guess, but not my faves. The brand name on the clogs I loved had long ago worn away and I had no idea what I was looking for except I knew it wasn’t Dansko. Passing the Clog Factory on a visit to Seattle, I went in with hope in my heart. Bingo! Found out I was looking for Svens! I bought one pair and a spare, which had to be shipped to me due to low stock. The sales guy was terrific and the friend who came in with me got hooked on Svens, too. Another convert! Now, I can assess the conditon of my clogs without worrying about where I will find replacements. It will be «Clog Factory to the Rescue!» I might even figure out how many clogs I might need between now and the Big Chill and stock up. God knows what I’d do if the Clog Factory goes under!

These guys carry all kinds of clogs! Some of the best inventory i’ve seen!!! God, I love clogs, BUT I hated the service we received here so much that I’ll NEVER go back! The lone guy working the store was more interested in what was on his computer screen than he was any of the customers in the store. We were never greeted nor asked for help…

I love this place. They have good customer service and really great selection. I bought a pair of apple(design) clogs. They are really cute, and have lasted very well. Definitely will purchase there again.

Adding my five stars to the others. This place is great! Both walls, floor-to-ceiling, are racks of clogs. Clogs, clogs, and more clogs! Clogs for men, clogs for women, clogs for the kiddies — they probably have clogs for the dog! All colors — all flavas — delightful. And a good range of sizes, too. Prices are what you’d expect — clogs aren’t Payless Cheap — but you get what you pay for. Excellent quality brands, wide variety of styles to choose from, helpful and friendly service. Hoorah!

I don’t wear clogs. Ever. But while on lunch walking through Pioneer Square many years ago I saw some really cute sandals in the window and was drawn inside to check ‘em out. The cutest guy was working in there and he helped me try on some shoes. He said with his lovely accent, «Wow! These look really cute on your feet!» as I tried on a pair of Romika slides, open-toed black leather two-strap with a pewter buckle. Cute was right, and I bought them suckers in a snap, I did. And I tell ya they remain one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I’ve ever owned. I wear them walking anywhere. I wear them dancing. I wear them dressy. I wear them casual. I wear them all the time and they still look damn near new. Talk about super quality and workmanship. I’m so impressed. And this is why I remain a customer of the Clog Factory. They continue to sell *cute quality comfortable* shoes AND as of this writing they’ve been like 35 years! I’m sure their clogs are terrific too but they’re just not my thing.(Have you ever see a sexy clog?)

Ok. I am not a clog wearer but I am a slipper as a gift buyer. Which I did a while back for my gf. So, I got the wrong kind. She wanted the booties rather than the slip ons. So, I take ‘em back knowing it will cost more to get the booties. The guy runs downstairs and finally comes up with a pair of bootie slippers in the right size. And you know what? He didn’t want the difference! How about that! I was amazed. I really appreciated his stellar service. Next time I need to buy slippers as a gift I am surely coming back here. Oh yeah. They have TONS of clogs in all sorts of sizes and colors. They are fun to look at.

It’s hard to believe there are so many kinds of clogs in the world until you visit the Clog Factory. I bought my first pair here when I was 14 and now, umm, a «few» years later I wouldn’t consider buying them anywhere else. Clogs may go in and out of style, but dedicated clog wearers don’t care and wear them anyway, which probably accounts for the longevity of this store. You may think they’re dumpy and dorky but a visit to this store and its myriad of styles might change your mind.
