Went for the first time the other day before work since I was pretty drained. Had a white chocolate mocho with an extra shot. The extra shot gave me a boost for the day however I did not particularly like the white chocolate mocha here compared to other coffee shops I have been to in the past. Service was speedy and friendly, not much of a line for an early thursday morning.

This is the closest coffee shop to the new pad, and since I was out of coffee filters this morning I decided to pop in. The lady working greeted me and was very friendly while making my coffee and warming my pastry. In fact, everyone that walked in was treated like an old friend. Including the woman who came in with her dog. The pup was definitely a regular, because he immediately jumped and put his front paws on the counter and waited for a treat. Maybe not the most sanitary thing??? My americano was great, though they didn’t have the Nectar of the Gods(aka Splenda) at the coffee doctoring station. And the morning glory muffin was fab, but a little cold at the center still. Will be back next time I’m in a pinch, but probably won’t become a regular. At least they’re not called EXpresso Express — that would be a deal-breaker.

A simple, straight up coffee house. No crazy designs in your cup, great, friendly service, fresh pastries. Of yeah, and bio diesel.

This place is a pile of poop! I like to frequent local, small biz owned coffee shops to support non-corporate places, plus I think their coffee usually tastes better than the big places, but this morning, I would have gotten a better coffee plus better service for less money! They charged almost 4 $ for a 12 oz latte, plus she filled the cup up SO high it started spilling when I tried to sweeten it. I told it it was overflowing and instead of offering me another cup she says, «well you need to start sipping it»…WTF should I have to do that? I want to sip a sweetened latte, that’s totally within my right no? Why should I have to deal with a totally overflowing cup? Made me SO mad! Plus the coffee tasted like crap! She might as well have just put milk in the cup. NEVER going back here, rude service and bad coffee!

Been coming here, for many, many years. The friendliest staff in Seattle… no snotty hipsters. Great prices, free Wi Fi, even a public computer. The entire staff are great. I go out of my way to stop there, and visit whenever I can.

I’ve been coming here regularly for a few weeks now, and the place is really cool. It’s so chill, with really laid back baristas and a calm atmosphere. The furniture and decorations are really basic, but I feel like there are some really constant regulars here, so there’s always something interesting being said. The coffee is pretty good too, and they’re really good about giving you exactly what you want — no quick brush off a the register and then you’re gone, without the barista even looking at you. Basically this place is a nice neighborhood café(bikes leaning against the wall, people sitting in the sun, it’s just so leisurely). There’s also a public computer if you don’t have one with you: plus.

I get off the freeway to head home and stop here once in a while for a pick me up before facing the kids. The beans aren’t as strong as some places, and I usually like them strong, but you can definitely get a good mellow latte that will pick you up without bouncing you off the walls.

Grab your laptop, order a venti whatever and surf the free WiFi at one of the original espresso stands in the Roosevelt area. Not much parking but easy access if you’re riding the bus. Take a break and re-caffeinate. HEY! That rhymes!
