Worst place ever. There is no review to give. They simply did not deliver the food and left us hanging. No warning. Would not answer any phone #s. They left hungry people in the hospital at the ICU hungry and in bad shape. Ridiculous. I would give it ZEROSTARS but I cant.

The best place for sandwiches! I hadn’t had a Mike’s in a few years maybe and today my collegues and I decided to order in for lunch. I suggested Mike’s and everyone was pleased with their delicious and ooey gooey warm sandwiches. I used to order from them all the time when they were in Belltown so I haven’t been to the Pioneer Square but it“s still just as delicious. The only disappointment I had was that my sandwich didn’t include the standard kosher dill pickle that I remember every sandwich came with before.

I’ve never been to Mike’s East Coast Sandwiches and I don’t think they seem very East Coast but this is what they serve at Voxx Coffee( ) and they are HELLAGOOD.

Mike’s East Coast Sandwiches sells their sandwiches in the Harborview Hospital Cafeteria – hooray! I have had the«Almost Thanksgiving» sandwich a couple times. It’s what you would expect – a turkey sandwich. It was pretty good, but not as good as a sandwich made from real Thanksgiving leftovers.

Awesome! I called for delivery — they were incredibly friendly, professional and helpful(with finding the menu online, etc). He said they’d be here in 40 mins and it was exactly that! I ordered the Greek Panini and the Roasted Turkey Cold Sandwich. I’m halfway through the Greek and wish I had a second stomach so I could keep eating this all day! I will definitely be making this a weekly routine!

I’m not even done with my sandwich yet, but I had to Unilocal! My co-worker asked if I wanted to order lunch today. He suggested Mike’s East Coast Sandwiches, a place I’d been meaning to try. I went with the East Coast Panini(Genoa salami, mortadella, provolone, roma tomatoes, mama Lil’s marinated peppers, red onion, pesto mayo and e.v. olive oil on sliced como). I would eat almost anything if you throw mama Lil’s marinated peppers on it, so it was a must for me. The bread is amazing and not a ‘throw away’. The meats are tasty, the pesto mayo subtle, and tomatoes are delicious. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a sandwich to finish.

I like this place, I really do, rather, I should say that I still do. However, now that Mike no longer owns this place, there’s something a little different about it… Not quite the same, not bad mind you, but there was something missing…

I should’ve Unilocaled this before I decided to turn around and go to Panera… I mean I love Panera but damn, Mike’s is the shi… best! I am originally from Seattle and moved away recently, came back for a visit and was totally craving it but couldn’t figure out where they moved to! Sad… Their Italian Salad .i think that’s what it’s called is my favorite… I love Mike’s! 10÷19÷10 update: by the way, Mike’s moved to 2nd Ave or something already. Their new Unilocal profile with their address is listed here too. :)

At first I thought this sandwich would be like a refrigerated 7 – 11 soggy-wich(which is what it looks like) but in actuality it was pretty good. The bread was very standard, but the insides are what made it yummy.

I don’t like country music. I dislike the whining and complaining. The twanging. And I don’t look good in Garth Brooks button up shirts and shit kickers. Actually I don’t know if that last part is true since I’ve never worn them but I’m going to stick with that sentiment. But very much like the typical country song where the guy howls mournfully about losing his dog, car, woman or all of the above I have experienced a sad loss. It was with profound surprise that I discovered that Mike’s East Coast Sandwiches has moved and I can no longer swing by and grab a bite to eat. This alone is not enough to give them a lower review rating. Sadly, they’ve also stopped allowing customers to snag a sandwich in any other fashion than delivery. This means I’ll pretty much never be able to get some grub to go… which makes me sadder than a family of twelve who just lost their trailer to a Texas twister. Somehow in effort to be convenient in switching to delivery only they’ve become less-so to me. So if you can play the fiddle, I’ll grab the git-tar and we can sing a sappy country song together. Oh Mike’s … why did you have to leave me?

I just had my first Mike’s East Coast Sandwich experience via delivery, so I haven’t actually visited their new location at Antioch University. However, these sandwiches were absolutely delicious– savory, saucy, warm and meaty. Some of the best paninis I’ve had. They are also made with Macrina bread– a big plus! I had half of the Turkey Chipotle panini and half of the East Coast panini, and it was a lot of food. For $ 7, you definitely get a lot of food. The East Coast sandwich was my favorite of the two with more kick and flavor. The genoa salami, mortadella and ham combo was especially tasty and the basil pesto mayo and dijon added a nice touch. The turkey chipotle was good, but not as unique as the East Coast sandwich. The sandwiches were a little greasy in the good way — you could tell the grease was the result of the flavorful sauces, not because it was doused in grease. I’d recommend the East Coast sandwich to anyone who likes a flavorful hot sandwich with crisp. The turkey one was good for a milder, more traditional panini. I’m looking forward to visiting their new location!

Mike’s East Coast has left the Cedar Street location. When I called, they said that they have moved to the International Distric, t and are now delivery only. Ugh.

It’s a little hard to find since the sign above the shop has a totally different sandwich shop name on it(«Belle Harbour Café»), but I’m sure I was at the right place because the print menus said so. There’s zero parking nearby, so it’s also had to get to unless you’re busing or work/live nearby. The pannini is pretty good, but at the same time, not exceptional. The meats are quality, but the vegetables on the sandwich seemed a little old and the pickles were terrible. If you’re close by, it’s worth trying, but I likely won’t go out of my way again.

Went there for lunch today, for the first time; had the Italian Primo. I’m from the Northeast, and while I would call the sandwich East-coasty, it wasn’t *exactly* what you’d get back East – but on the taste, it was damn close. Super friendly staff, that went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Definitely worth a quick lunch. Cash only; call ahead. We did, at 11:30, and told them 12:00pm, but didn’t get there till about 12:15, and the food was still piping hot. Getting there can be a smidge confusing. It’s between 1st and 2nd on Cedar. Go up the couple of steps.

I don’t know if I’d necessarily call Mike’s sandwiches east coast subs… but there were pretty amazing. We stopped in for lunch a couple weeks ago on a Friday. There were about 5 «cooks in the kitchen» busily making sandwiches and packing up big orders into big brown paper bags. I knew the sandwiches would be good based on the smell inside. It was just great. We ordered just after another couple… and then the wait began. I subtracted 1 star from our experience here because it really felt like we waited 10 minutes for them to make and wrap our sandwiches. I completely understand that some of these bulk orders were probably placed before ours, but come on. Anyway, after waiting for some time, we scooted off with our sandwiches to our downtown appointment. I ordered the meat and potato sandwich, which was basically roast beef with potato salad inside pressed panini bread. Boy was it fantastic. We’ll definitely go back to try their mac and cheese but we won’t go if we’re pressed for time.

My sandwich was good(Belltown Club), but a little too greasy for my tastes. I enjoyed it well enough that I would order another sandwich from there again, provided I did not have to waste half of my lunch hour waiting for the 6 employees to make 2 sandwiches. I realize they have take-out orders, but shouldn’t you make it a priority to serve those customers who bothered to walk into the shop to place their order? It took just over 15 minutes to get a single sandwich straight off the menu — nothing fancy. Very disappointed with the less-than-friendly and incredibly slow service. But if you don’t mind waiting a while, the sandwiches are pretty good(I once had a Reuben ordered for me, and recall that it was pretty tasty as well — just not the healthiest thing in the world.). Oh, and I was not excited about the 50-cent surchage on debit-card purchases. I realize the fees are high, especially for small businesses — but most other businesses are able to accept this without passing on this ridiculous charge to their customers. It definitely starts things off on the wrong foot.

There is a cafeteria in my workplace, but sometimes the fare does not cut it. Working a couple of blocks from Mike’s, I decided to give them a shot one day. I was confused at first with how to order as I did not see any regular menu board, though there was one for specials. I ended up choosing off the takeout menu at the counter. There are many sandwich and salad options to choose from and many looked appetizing. I decided to get the East Coast(#11) sandwich. After perhaps 10 minutes, I was handed my sandwich to go. Heading back to my desk, the sandwich was still hot as it is grilled«panini» style. I proceeded to wolf down the sandwich in no time. It was a bit spicier than I expected, but good. The price was a bit higher than I am used to paying for a sandwich but worth it considering the ingredients. Overall, I would say Mike’s is a comfortable second to Michou when I am looking for a sandwich in the Downtown Seattle/Belltown area.

OK, I am so willing to change my review based upon what they do. Upon my first visit… I ordered a #25 sandwich no mayo, I got some other sandwich with olives & mustard and crap on it. Not even close. I called them like 4 times and no one answered, even though they are still supposed to be open for another 40 mins? I am so not happy when I get a sandwich I would never eat and I paid 7 bucks for…

Stupid good sandwiches. In fact I’m typing this between bites of a Meat and Potato right now. Particular favorites for me are the Reuben and of course the aforementioned Meat and Potato. That’s right, you read correctly. Potato salad right in the sandwich. NOM. Oh and if you are reading the menu and it says it comes with some other kind of bread? Don’t believe it. ITLIES! Of course no self respecting Reuben would come with anything other than Rye, so skip the disappointment like me opening my sandwich wrapper and finding the abomination of some THING with pastrami and kraut with WHITEBREAD?!? To be safe I recommend specifying the bread although the default Macrina bread from the Italian bakery down the street on First Ave, is no slouch. Also if you would like something other than a grilled sandwich, you’ll need to speak up. Oh yeah. And bring cash. This is a place that thrives on take out and delivery to area offices. Don’t expect to sit down, and DON’T expect instantaneous service just walking in during the height of the lunch rush. There may be two or three people in there but the staff is already hard at work on thousands of orders already. Besides, there are just two tables in the tiny place. And the décor? Let’s say they don’t waste time on ambiance though it does have a certain college dorm room milk-crate chic appeal. But hey. Why bother with appearances when you got the best damn san in Belltown? Save yourself the wait and pre-order and do your noshing back at the office.
