Pegasus Coffee Bar

This place has good coffee and pasties. The staff was not only friendly, but they obviously have good ongoing relationships with their customers. Most of all, I love the atmosphere. I went here a couple times while traveling to the area because it’s a great way to start the day.

Simply the best. Enough said.
Pegasus has been a daily stop for me since my office moved to the Dexter Horton building in April. My interaction with the fabulous baristas, specifically Jon and Danielle (despite what Jennifer W. said about Danielle on ⁴⁄₂₃), are at times, the highlight of my day.

O my god I hate being a female customer here. About ½ the female baristas will talk up the guys forever while ignoring my existence even as I’m standing in front of them non-​verbally asking, ‘Can I just order and then you can go back to your convo?’ They have the attitude that they’re the barista and can make you wait forever if they want.
The drinks are also inconsistent as others have noted. The worst coffee I have had came from this location. Really burnt coffee beans have made more than one drink a sorry purchase.

best coffee shop around. there are many competitors, SBucks, Tullys– none compare. they have great promos like happy hour in the late afternoon and free shot friday. i highly recommend the almond crousant!

I’m not in the area often, but when I am, I always try to make a stop at Pegasus. The coffee is great. The staff is wonderful and I can’t get enough of the atmosphere.

I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but when I do need my caffeine fix, I always try to stop by Pegasus to pick up my beans. The location is in the heart of downtown, and parking can be difficult at times, but can’t seem to find any other coffee store with gourmet beans like Pegasus. Mocca Java is personally my favorite blend.

This place is a lot less consistent & when it’s good, it isn’t as good as it once was.
Also, beware the people hanging around the exit — you NEVER know what you’re gonna see.

This place has great coffee and fantastic service. It’s a great spot to get coffee and they also have a good selection of baked goods. I really like the quality and taste of their locally roasted coffee beans.

I was a long standing regular customer at Pegasus, once or twice a day for the last few years. Until last week, when the new barista Danielle decided to insist I was being too picky, when i mentioned that her latte’s are consistently burnt. Her exact words to me were ‘It’s always something with you”. I mentioned to her that unless she can make a latte like everyone else in this city, i’d not be back to their establishment and that I’d be speaking to the manager. She, in true condescending form said «please do». I emailed Pegasus about my experience and have stopped by on numerous occasions to let them know what had happened. To date I still have not heard back from anyone. My assumption is that they have chosen to ignore the behavior of their awful new afternoon barista. Good Bye Pegasus, Hello Cherry Street !

Very great environments and selections of beverages, I ordered an espresso and they gladly made me a second shot when I suggested that the first one temperature is off.
Need little more training for the junior barista I guess? But the vibes are great.

wtf, why did I give Pegasus a bad review? I take it all back.
Pegasus is my favorite coffee shop downtown. I visit a few times a week for a 20 oz. London Fog. My drink costs under $ 3 for the biggest size, the baristas are always fast and super nice, and my London Fog is always delicious.
Skip Starbucks, visit Pegasus. Cheaper, better, and friendlier!

So far this place has made me the best mocha I’ve yet to taste. It was just simply awesome. I’ve had mixed experiences in the past, most notably grinds in my iced espresso shots. I have also had very few bad experiences with baristas here and not sure what the review talk is all about. It’s a good place to get away from the office and great place to get your caffeine buzz on.
Four stars for the mochas and the current service and quality I’ve had for the last 6 months.

Girls here are always very nice and prompt with the coffee, The coffee taste good and I will go back.

I love this place. I come in almost every other day for my dirty chai fix (maybe 10% non-​usuals like just the chai or coffee). It’s a rather mild, smooth and enjoyable DC, if you ask me. No spicy notes, no drab blandness… a pleasant middle ground; same for just a chai latte.
It’s a great, neat space – subtly stuffy, but not obvious – neat seating, coffee things, knick knacks, an upstairs lil seating cove, Dilbert quotes and a cyan Magic 8 Ball.
The girls here are always friendly, funny and super laidback.

I come here before I go to work. They have cheap lattes, are located conveniently, and have a bring-​your-​own mug discount.
I always get a Chai latte and honestly can’t find much at fault with it– I mean, it’s just a chai, so it’s really good, but you can’t really mess it up.
Baristas are nice too– within 2 weeks of me starting to go here, they already know my regular. The only issue is that they don’t have a rewards program (buy 10 coffees, get one free) or something.

Fun, affordable little coffee shop located on the first floor of one of my company’s field offices. If I worked in Seattle permanently I would probably go here every day! Love the non-​corporate vibe! How could anyone go wrong with friendly baristas, bold coffee and pegasuses all over the place? Damn, I love Seattle.

Eh. This environment is very cute but I am not sure if I am in a hurry to go back anytime soon.
The shop showcases a lot of their coffee beans at the glass counter. I saw Ethiopia Yergacheffe, Sumatra, etc. Maybe their french press or drip coffee is good but I haven’t had a chance to try it yet.
Their iced mochas left much to be desired. It tasted mostly like sweet chocolate milk, which is a big no no for mochas (at least in my book). I could barely taste the espresso. I gave some for my friend to try and he commented that he felt like a toddler drinking chocolate milk! By the way, the 12 oz was around $ 3.50.

The lovely ladies here offer me quick and tasty libations without me even having to order. Blessed be the regulars!
It’s a small shop, perfect for the in and out while you wait for the bus or head off to work. The ladies that work the mornings are incredible. Fast, friendly and hard working. I have never been disappointed.
They recently started making their own bakery items which I should resist due to my gluten issues but goodness they are beautiful.
And to sweeten the deal they have discounted happy hour drink prices in the afternoons and free flavor Fridays.

Hands down the COOLEST and HOTTEST baristas in Seattle. The ladies are by far the warmest personalities in the coffee bar business.
And, the coffee is good! I LOVE the peanut butter cookies.
And, they have great loft seating with a view of 3^rd.

After the 3^rd time going here, the barista already remembered my order. And less than a minute later my double short latte was waiting on the counter. For being downtown, it’s impressive that they can turn around great-​tasting espresso that quickly while not feeling rushed along.
If I need to do some work on the lappy, this is one of my favorite hangouts. The internet is always fast, and there’s quiet, comfortable seating in a loft area above the main entrance. I once overheard an out-​of-​towner talking on his phone up in the loft. «Yeah, I’m at some fancy Starbucks with a… horse or something on it», he said. Yes you are, my friend, yes you are.
