Pehling Jason DDS Ms

I cant thank doctor Jason Pehling enough for there professionalism, care & compasion. I battle a rare condition, dystonia. Doctor Jason is only 1 of 3 doctors that I know of that is willing to treat me! He spent quality time with me. Listened to me and gave me great care. I was bed ridin before I saw doc Pehling. I now have a quality of life! There are no words to express my gratitude. I cant wait to see them in a couple weeks and show them my progress!!! If you are looking for a doctor that truly cares for his patients, Jason Pehling is the man for the job!

I have had NOTHING but the best treatment from Dr. Pehling and staff. They have helped me so much with my TMJ that I’m sure I would have had my jaws wired shut by now going to someone else. They have been prompt, courteous and very professional every step of the way. I know Shannon, the office Manager has personally gone out of her way to help me with the Insurance intricacies along the way, which are really tricky because Dental Insurance claims it’s Medical and Medical Insurance claims it’s Dental. Last time I looked, my jaw is connected to my head bone, which is connected to my body, so I say medical! I can’t speak to these other poor reviews but I know there have been staff changes. Dr. Pehling knows his stuff and I trust him immensely with my TMJ Issues. I said to Cortina (assistant) that I look forward to coming there because it helps me so much. I hope that other people will read my review and give these new office people a chance. They deserve it and Dr. Pehling most certainly deserves it.

I’m sad to say I can only agree with the previous reviewers. Dr. Pehling is kind of the only game in town for certain dental issues, so maybe he doesn’t feel that much pressure to get his office in shape? I found his work good and his expertise very helpful, but I think I was asked to come in more times than was necessary, and I wonder if the motivation was more about profit than my dental health given the billing problems I’ve run into. There have been problems twice for me, either miscoding or double billing, and though the first time it was acknowledged and taken care of pretty quickly, not so the latter.

Although clinically Dr. Pehling is one of the best in the city his billing staff and receptionist are the worst I have experienced in my 30 years in Seattle. He is an out of network dentist. That means he can charge what he wants and if they make mistakes can give a flying rats ass if they correct it. His literature tells you he will do as much as he can to maximize your insurance claim and file it for you. Don’t believe a word of it. My experience was they will file any claim — wrong procedure codes, wrong amount, etc and then refuse by email or phone to discuss the issue or tell you to go away and complain to your insurance company. Even when I mailed or brought filled out claims to his office they were never submitted. Since I had never met these people before I suspect something really amiss is going on in this office or they are prejudiced. So watch your step here. My insurance company told me they see this all the time — out of network dentists don’t care when they make mistakes and many won’t help their patients even though the money is not coming out of the dentist’s pocket. He charges about double what my insurance company said was reasonable on his procedures. So I paid $ 1000, got limited help and ended up referred to the University of Washington to really get the issue resolved.
