Chris has always been very helpful even though I never paid for service. I’ve ridden by and stopped in for air or a chain fix and every time he has smiled and helped me for no charge. Once he even had me ride around and fixed my seat height because it was wrong. He’s a good honest man who knows bikes!

I live in San Francisco; Buy bikes at Rosebud Chris is such an inspirational and passionate person. I have always wanted an old school Colnago Master Light and he completely pulled it off. Old school look with Campi Record and a host of additional upgrades that complimented the look. It was great to deal with him remotely as well as run a test ride on Birk where he fine tuned my stem and made a few simple adjustments. He has also been great support when shipping my bike for boys weekends as well as STP. Hard to go wrong here. He does not have much inventory but seemed to know exactly what I wanted /needed. I have an old wooden sled I may drop off for repairs.

Last weekend I took out my bike for the first time all season and without fail blew a tire along the Birk. Being that I was so excited to just get out of the house, I was completely unprepared and ended up walking in clips for about 2 miles before I stumbled upon the bike whisper, Chris! I’m not even sure he was open for business but that didn’t stop him for not only helping change my tire, but gave me a lesson on how to do it, greased my chain, washed my bike spokes and got me hooked up with all the neccessary items incase I find myself in this position again. And while doing all of this, we had a great chat about tv, work and life. I couldn’t recommend him more! THANKYOUCHRIS!

The other day I was biking along and attempted to cross the darned train tracks leading into Ballard, getting myself and my bike pretty banged up. Luckily my savior Chris was right down the trail! He helped me get my greasy chain back on along with doing some adjustments on the house! I would have had to walk miles back home if not for his amazing generosity! I would recommend Chris for any bike related issue(although, I see he mainly custom builds bikes), or just a friendly conversation!

Chris built me an amazing bespoke road bike. I had ridden for years but this is what I’d call my first proper ‘grown up’ bike. I can’t say enough good things about the man, his process, and the outcome. My Fondriest is a gem, a bike-for-life kind of proposition. We just did a 30-miler with it yesterday on the Lake Washington loop and it was the best ride ever. Kudos Chris! Would recommend him to any biker of any ability who is serious about equipment.

Great service, and great experience! I got a flat tire on my ride home from work and was feeling pretty sorry for myself, but Chris at Rosebud totally helped me out, fixed my tired, and even noticed that my brake pads were shot and hooked me up with new ones. What a save!

Fanboy? I might be reaching that status – every time I stop by Chris fixes my problem and then some. I was just in there for a brake tweak and mentioned my new saddle to Chris – he repositioned it and watched as I rode – it’s way more comfortable now. The man has a gift.

So, one time I had a job interview at the Men’s Warehouse. I’ve tried to escape the restaurant industry several times, to no avail. Restaurants are my Devil’s Island a la «Papillon». Anyways, there is this Mantra that they instill into their salespeople there, and it is «Make a friend first, and then sell him a suit». I always thought this was a nice way to do business. I am lucky enough to have had met Chris and become friends with him long before I even owned a bicycle. He has given me advice on life matters that I have taken to heart. Plus, the guy is a riot. Sometimes I’ve got to walk away in tears because I am laughing so much. I bought a Type II70’ish Peugot from craigslist last Summer. It was pretty much all original– 70lbs of unfiltered cigarette smoking, squeaky, smelly steel. Typically, I am a DIY’er, I do most all repairs on everything myself, but after hanging out at his shops during a few lunch breaks, I noticed that Chris is on another level. He typically works on bikes that cost about half of my years salary. I was lucky to have Chris do services on this bike, as a couple hours of labor exceeds the value of the bicycle very quickly. Over time, we have replaced just about everything on «Pepe le Pew» besides the frame. What impresses me about Chris is his keen attention to detail; one of the first times I stopped by I got a flat on the Burke. I rolled«Jean luc Retard» over, he changed the tire and immediately went on to adjust the derailer, brakes, tighten the headset etc. He won’t let anything roll out of his shop if it is not perfect and safe. If its something worth doing, its worth doing right. Yeah, that and there is nothing that says you can’t laugh your ass off while doing it. Go make a friend. Have him tune your bike to a world class machine.

My wife and I were riding on the Burke today and stopped when we saw the garage open at Rosebud. We came in to see if we could get the front brakes fixed on my wife’s bike. Chris, the owner, dropped what he was doing. Fixed the brakes, then fixed another half dozen things that were wrong. He was awesome. Totally engaging and enthusiastic about what he was doing. I don’t think I have ever had a better experience with another bike shop, or really anyone fixing anything. I cannot recommend him and his shop highly enough.

I shipped my bike out to Rosebud for STP this year. Never having been separated from it, I was pretty nervous about the process. But it was painless. When I arrived, it was assembled, cleaned, tuned up and ready to go. Chris had made some adjustments for me based on how he knew the conditions on STP would be, and he went over these in detail with me while I rode around in circles in front of him. It’s obvious that he knows his stuff and really, really loves playing with bikes. He was extremely friendly and easygoing and I could have happily hung out there all day if some other people hadn’t ridden up in need of some service. On the days of the ride, my bike rode better than it ever had before. Actually, I’ve adjusted the way I ask my LBS to set it up following tune-ups based on his advice. I’d recommend Chris to anyone, any day. It was a real pleasure.

I actually joined Unilocal to leave Rosebud Bicycles a review he was so awesome! I was riding down the Burke-Gilman trail in need of some unexpected adjustments and I rolled into his open air shop and got in line behind another couple biking to St Michelle Winery and also in need of unexpected repairs. 20 minutes later he was setting me up with a personalized bike adjustment and literally saved my front teeth by fixing my brake assembly which was apparently about to fall into my spokes. Paid up with FourSquare and I was on my way. LOVE this guy, love the shop. He really knows what he’s doing and I’d trust him with any of my bike repairs moving forward.

Super friendly, super chill bike man right of the Burke-Gilman. Just cruised by and my bike is running tip top after just a few moments of twisting and tweaking by Chris. My new go to for all my bike maintenance needs.

I love Rosebud, I love Chris Cameron, and most of all, I love my new bike! I went to Rosebud with some pretty high maintenance demands: I wanted a bike that had the comfort of a cruiser but could handle Seattle hills and was also totally cute. What did Chris make for me? Exactly that, and then some. It rides like a dream, fits me perfectly, and could the basket be any cuter? And as other reviewers have noted, Chris didn’t just do the job at hand. While he was fitting me for the new bike, he noticed that my son’s bike wasn’t adjusted quite right. So he adjusted his bike and fixed his brakes right then and there. And my daughter was not overlooked. Chris found in his shop an adorable kitty bell that he attached to her bike, making her day. Chris obviously loves what he does, and his passion is contagious. He also has a genuine desire to make his customer happy. I’m not just happy, I’m thrilled. And now I’m off to ride my bike!

Oh, I love when I run into one of those folks who not only KNOW what they are doing; they LOVE what they are doing. Chris, chief boss at Rosebud and high holy wise man of all things bicyclic, is one of those impassioned masters. He can’t help himself. Once he gets started, he tends to every sweet detail. He even waxed my saddle! Chris builds high end custom bicycles but if you’re fortunate enough to get him to tend to your bicycle, not only will your bike be in the best condition, you’ll ride off with that high you get from encountering someone with a bright, shiny spirit infused with joie de vivre.
