Had the buffet lunch. Pretty insipid. Tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala okay.

We ordered samosa, chilli panner, Naan and curries from here. There is no rice with the curries. For 13 $ curry, i don’t think this are worth it. Naan is huge but it is not that good. Chilli panner is not good. I liked the samosa though. OVerall, i would go to this restaurant only if i have no other choice.

Very welcoming and warm service. Food was flavorful and generous portions. Beautiful artwork both on the walls and ceilings. The service(family owned?) was attentive and even during busy spurts, the regular staff were very helpful. Please note that their naan bread is monstrous. Although delicious, they all seem to span more than a foot long and at least 7 inches wide. They come in a variety of flavors and ours was served hot and fluffy and ready to be devoured with our curries. I would suggest ordering one first, and then more if needed.

This place lost a lot of stars for the HORRIBLESERVICE they provide. We ordered appetizers and entrée. While we were only half way done with our appetizers, the server brings out the entrée, at which point we ask him to wait and let us finish the appetizers first, as your supposed to. He gave us a weird look and took the food back with such attitude. No one ever came back to our table after giving us the food, I had to ask for water refill finally. Food was OK, nothing great. It was a bit too spicy, I think the waiter should have mentioned that their food runs on the spicier end so that we can decide the spice level accordingly. I would recommend anyone to avoid this place.

Amazing Indian food with super friendly service. I come to Seattle only once a year and always have to have dinner at Roti. Always have their chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Also there’s a fire roasted eggplant dish that’s amazing. This time we tried a lamb curry recommended by the owner and that was good too. I’ve never had a bad fish here.

We went to Roti prior to going to the theater — and told them so. We arrived at 6:20 pm, and waited 10-minutes for them to take our order — the place was about half-full, and one of the staff was busy talking on the phone(what appeared to be a personal call). The focus wasn’t on the customer. We ordered plain naan, madras lamb, basmati rice and Scallops JalFrezi. The naan arrived fairly quickly and was fine(pretty standard). The rest of our order didn’t arrive until 7:05, by which time we had to rush to eat it before going to the theater for a 7:30 pm curtain. The lamb was delicious, and the rice was fine. The scallops were OK, but kind of bland. Frankly, the food here is probably pretty good in general(I have several friends who are regulars). But when you allocate an hour for dinner, and spend 45 minutes of it waiting for your food(when you’ve told them you’re on a schedule for the theater), that’s not good. One thing we noticed is that they had a lot of «to-go» orders, and they didn’t prioritize the sit-down diners over the to-go orders. My dinner companion suggested that I give them another chance — so I will, but I really wasn’t impressed by the slow service, nor by the scallop dish. But for the moment, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and 3-stars(largely because the lamb was so tasty). But I thought about giving them only 2-stars. What bothered me most was that we told them our timeline, and later when we were pressed for time, we asked for our food, and then the check. They simply ignored our time pressure, going about business as usual. Rushing a meal when you’ve allowed plenty of time is not a good thing.

Delicious Potato roti, onion stuffed naan, lamb biryani, and saag paneer! Been here twice now, once for take out, and both times everything was great. Spicy is actually spicy but still easily edible.

I have tried Indian food all over this city and this is top notch! I recommend the paratha and saag. They’re the best around.

Ordered takeout from Unilocal and it was so easy and the food was so good! I got the lamb saag and my dude got the chicken masala we both loved our dishes. Big portions of the entrees and the garlic naan we got was not only huge but was delicious!

Food meh Service ok Price ok I was feeling really hungry but from what I did have I wasn’t too pleased. I had the garlic Naan, and maybe it’s a different style of Naan but this one was fairly bland. Ive had Naan with curry and without and either the Naan was just bland even with all the ingredients on top. The flavor wasn’t incorporate into the Naan. the size for 4.50 I believe is a reasonable price, and quality was great. I just felt it needed more work on getting the taste together. Vegetable pakora there was a variety of veggies in there the taste was really bold. If I had room for curry it would be a great dipper! The flavor was on the salty side but still ok. Overall I was OK with the experience. I am concerned on how short staff this place is we had nearly full house when we came in. We got seated quickly, but unfortunately we wanted to catch a show so we rushed the service a little. We found that the owner had created a system and that system as an employee must be followed. My friend was trying to order alcohol which we understood that is our server is not of age to serve its ok to grab someone else but when the other gentlemen came the owner gave a lecture to the server. I couldn’t exactly make words, but our table was pointed at to solidify the point from the owner to server. Probably the want to go back would be mediocre but I would dine there again if I was in the mood for Indian in the area

We came here on a date last night as part of our honeymoon. I ordered a wine I’d had before and when it came I tasted it and it was corked. The wine was musty and undrinkable. I never complain in restaurants but I wanted a glass of wine so I mentioned to the waiter that I would like another wine as this was corked. He proceeded to argue with me quite aggressively saying it couldn’t be and he had just opened the bottle. I tried to explain that corkage can happen in any bottle and that the wine was undrinkable. He fought back with me and I eventually just asked if he could please just bring me a glass of house wine. He left the table and 5 min later returned with the original bottle to continue the discussion, showing me how he had just opened the bottle and again saying there was nothing wrong with the wine. Again I felt he was aggressive in his manner and really arguing with me. I just politely said taste the wine if you don’t believe me, and you should trust when a customer is complaining about something. He said he didn’t drink so I politely said he would have to trust my judgement in that case. Finally I got another glass of wine sent to the table. He then spilled one of our dishes all over the ladies sitting next to us. He left the table with food all over the seat and didn’t say if he was replacing the dish or apologise. We ate our other food and eventually a new dish came out after we’d finished everything else. The ladies beside us then had a row with him about being spilled on and having curry all over their shoes and bags etc. They left seemingly very dissatisfied too. The atmosphere was tense and there was a management«discussion» happening loudly when we left. I felt sorry for the waitress working there. Have never left no tip before but I felt intimidated and shocked at how I was treated. Unbelievably bad customer service.

If you are ok to be yelled at talked to rudely not having your food delivered on time don’t miss this place. It demonstrates everything that a restaurant should not do. Somehow the owner thinks he can get his customers back by yelling at them. This is certainly not a good example of Indian hospitality. Enjoy your food. Given the level of rudeness and poor culture I would not put it past the owner to spit In the food. We are not beggars seeking food in a slum. This is respectable Queen Anne and we pay top dollar. Never going to Roti again. Will definitely spread the word around.

Wanted to get the lunch buffet in a takeout container and was told that I couldn’t; but they were happy for me to order off the menu for takeout. How ridiculous. I just wanted a couple of things from the buffet in a lunch-sized portion. Money talks and poor service walks. I won’t be recommending Roti to anyone.

A friend and I had one of the best and most delicious meals here last night. Roti has a perfect blend of décor, great food, and fantastic service. The menu is extensive, with items to satisfy any diet. Also the cutlery, dishes, ect are gorgeous. Parking here is not easy, so go down a block and use the met market parking lot :)

Quality Indian food. The restaurant has really nice ambience and courteous staff. We ordered 3 butter rotis and one paneer tikka masala and finished the dinner with a mango lassi each for a group of 3. Tasty food which you should really try out if you are somewhere nearby. It is resonably priced for the service and food provided which might be slightly higher compared to similar Indian restaurants. Overall its value for money.
