Their veggie burger was by far, one of the best I’ve ever had! Great food and service!

Whoa! I got a $ 15 burger with fries. Probably the worst burger and fries I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t be upset if it was the standard $ 7 burger, but no. $ 15 freaking dollars. They don’t even boast where their meat comes from. The fries were a hand-cut greasy mess. This place is ridiculously overpriced and way below average. Sorry Skillet, but forget it. At least on the burgers that is, but you’ve already lost me if you can’t even make something as simple as a good burger. Next!

Since the(chicken) meat pie from next door was a bit of a disappointment, I came here to supplement my dinner. I ordered a the Curry Soup which was awesome! Tasty creamy and even the cup was plenty. I also ordered the Pie in a Bowl the pudding was good as were the sea salt and cocoa nibs the pie crust on the other hand was superfluous and added nothing to the taste — quite on the contrary it detracted.

First time to any of the Skillet locations. Not sure this was the best one to try but was at the Sea Center, and decided to givve it a go. Got the Burger which is their burger on a brioche bun with blue cheese, bacon jam and arugula with choice soup, salad, fried. Thje burger was very tasty is not a bit on the small side. Agree with other that for $ 12 it should be substantial but this is pretty much the going rate for«gourmet burger» at any decent place in town. It was tasty, fresh, juicy. Bacon jam was really a nice addition. Arugula salad on the side was good. All in all a good burger, unique in it’s own way but not blown away amazing. Will give it a try in Ballard or Cap Hill for comparison.

Was in the Seattle Centre area with co-workers and we decided to stop into the armoury for lunch. I ordered the veggie grill with fries. Very tasty burger and crisp fries. Nice staff and quick service. Enjoyed my meal and good conversation.

My wife and I came here for a quick bite before going up the Space Needle. We each ordered a burger with fries and a drink. The burger was delicious. I especially loved the bacon jam that they add to it and you can’t go wrong with arugula on top of your burger! The people were really friendly and the pace is an old armoury converted into a food court. My only contention is that I paid 14+ for my burger and fries.

Skillet in Ballard and Cap Hill are WAAAAY better than this location at Armory! Ordered the kale salad for $ 9.80 and was quite disappointed. There was nothing exciting about it — Kale, Croûton and one lonely anchovy on the top. Hope Skillet’s not loosing it’s mojo —

This location sucks. I’ve been to cap hill and the food truck and they are way better than this. First off, by noon, they had no chicken. How do you run out of chicken? Their grilled cheese is nothing like the other locations. I swear they melted some cheese wiz instead of real cheese. The fries are awful too. They give you sad burnt pieces and call it a day.

Chose the Skillet Counter for lunch on a busy Saturday at Seattle Center. I ordered the Kale Caesar($ 9) and added the fried chicken thigh($ 5). I wasn’t thrilled at the prospect of spending ~$ 15 in a food court, but I ended up with a mountain of salad with some well fried thigh slices. It was TOO much food, and I wasn’t able to take the leftovers with me since we were heading back to EMP. If I were to get this in the future, I would probably split it with a friend in addition to another small plate.

While visiting Seattle from the south I ran into this little establishment. The minute I saw waffle with pork belly or friend chicken I had to try it. What would seattlelites do to these staples of southern food? Well, the results where not stellar. I had the waffle and pork belly. I was quite curious about the idea of a corn flour waffle. On initial inspection the waffle was golden and crisp. The taste was good BUT boy is it dense. Essentially they have created a polenta waffle that can feed at least two hungry people or four folks looking for a snack. Now to the Pork Belly, that delicious morsel of pure swine perfection. The belly was braised with maple. The flavor is quite prominent. The belly could have been braised a bit longer but over all it was tender enough. Their failure however came in the finish. The folks in the kitchen failed to crisp the belly under the broiler. No one wants flacid pork fat with their eggs and waffle. If I were eating a burger topped with pork belly then my all means leave it soft. Otherwise, crisp is the way. My recommendation, go to the south and try some pork belly. Or to Chinatown.

Fried chicken Sammy was delicious. But too greasy and perfectly seasoned and crispy. Fries are great too.

The food here is okay, the milkshake is amazing(the reason it gets 2 stars), the customer service is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced! I went on a busy evening, stood in line, ordered my food and all hell broke loose. I noticed several people having to wait because they forgot something or screwed something up. I’m alright with that when it happens, no restaurant is perfect, but the way they handled it means I won’t be coming back here. No apologies for those poor souls in front of me, and I got some serious attitude when my order wasn’t right. The people before me got there food, so my order should be next up. It’s sitting on the counter, the guy calls it out, I wait for a minute, but grab it so it doesn’t get cold. I ordered bacon on my burger, it’s missing. I go back to the very long line, finally when I’m at the front someone from the kitchen shouts at me to ask if there is something wrong with my order? I tell him there’s no bacon, and he grabs it out of my hand, throws it in the box, shoves it back at me and says«Did we call your name?!» I tell him my food sat at the pass there getting cold(besides I often go places and with my name they just call the order rather than mispronounce it) and I wanted a nice fresh burger, and he just rolls his eyes and walks away. I was fuming, but I decided I’d try and write to the manager to let them know and respond to me before posting such a negative review here on Unilocal.Almost a week has passed and nothing, so I decided it was time to write this review. I’ve always had a great experience at their restaurants and at the truck, but if you’re going to be in the busy Center House, can’t cope with the orders, and then be nasty about it, you’re not going to get my business.

This is my guilty pleasure food! I went in yesterday for poutine and a side of bacon. A side of bacon means 6SLICES of THICKCUT bacon, which is at once amazing and overwhelming. Only $ 5 nets you a ton of perfectly made bacon, so clearly I am going back again. The poutine is also an extremely generous portion. However, please note that it does NOT have cheese curds, it has grated cheddar. This means it is not poutine in the true sense of poutine. It was still good, don’t get me wrong, I loved that gravy and herb mixture — but it was not poutine. I planned to eat everything myself, but I couldn’t, and greasy food like that makes for soggy leftovers. So I shared half my meal with my friend and it was more than enough for both of us! Skillet really does deliver on value and I plan to go back soon!

Mahalos to Seattle Unilocal crew my friend Melody P! Who better to ask about Seattle Unilocal hot spots then fellow Unilocalers. It was package pick up day for Seattle RnR Marathon. It was the perfect opportunity since nearby not only start the carb loading but also get feel for the Seattle RnR start and finish area out front of the Seattle Center. Always trust Unilocalers. Melody P was so on point. Just wish she gave more recommendation think she holding out on Vegas Unilocalers. LOL. My friend visiting told me they started off as food truck. I love those stories see small business owners grow from food truck or restaurant. I guess they have full restaurant then just the food court location. I believe the menu is the same at either location? Here at the Seattle Center love the whole look with the open air kitchen. Chalkboard write some of the daily specials. They even have one section they sell beer on tap plus alcohol. It on the corner on the side of the food courts close to the Starbucks. Unfortunately going into this race weekend not 100 percent healthy. Food some things that takes too much work for me to eat passed on. I ended up going with the Ultimate Grilled Cheese ass bacon jam. I got last bowl of soup of the day smoked bacon tomato soup. It was perfect soup and sandwich. The grilled cheese was tasty. The cheese was some kind of soft white cheese and add the bacon jam brings it to another level. You also have can add chicken believe. The bacon jam just added another texture, bacon flavor, and the whole sandwich not greasy at all. The bread was more like thick french toast cut. So much more things on the menu wanted to try but save it for the next visit. The chicken Waffles they looking good. My friend had the chicken sandwich something looked good. He liked it. The poutine fries that definitely stood out for me. Be on the hit list next visit to Seattle.

Checking Unilocal,I was choosing between Skillet Counter and the next door pizza place. I really didn’t want pizza, but the place had better ratings. Skillet’s line was shorter, so that’s what I chose. The staff — friendly, quick and knowledgable. They were all smiling and seemed happy to serve. The environment — pretty hip, atmospheric lighting and pretty quiet for being located in the Armory. You can see straight into the kitchen, which I enjoyed because I always like watching my food being cooked. Good to know everything is made to order. The food — I ordered the grilled cheese and a side of fries. I also got the daily Fresca which was Strawberry-Orange. Drink was delicious and light. The sandwich flaunts a hefty stack of different cheeses that complement each other well. The bread was super soft and grilled perfectly. Sometimes grilled cheeses are a little too much but because the bread was so light and the cheese wasn’t overdone, it was great. The fries were amazing and I didn’t feel that anything could have been done better. Paid less than $ 15 for all of it.

1 ½ stars I have had the Skillet Diner on my list of places to try — and since I happened to be at the Armory — I tried the Skillet Counter. I hate to write bad reviews — but this was very disappointing. Maybe the place is just over hyped. Or maybe this location is just not good. Or both. I ordered The Burger. I added pickles. I paid for the upgrade to have poutine. And I got a raspberry lemonade. So my lunch came to $ 19.71. Holy cow — I thought — this better be fantastic. Then I got my food. The burger was teeny tiny. For a $ 12 burger — it should be substantial. This was not. And the burger patty was cold. It tasted like it was made in the morning and then reheated. Not good. The famous bacon jam — it was ok. All I really tasted was a smokey taste — not so much bacon — just a smokey tasting spread. I am glad I added pickles — because the burger was so blah — at least I had the crunch of a pickle. I had to add ketchup to get some flavor and moisture in the burger. The poutine needed salt. How could something with gravy and cheese need salt? No idea — but it did. And I am no salt fiend — I just like things seasoned — and I had to add salt. The raspberry lemonade was good — but the cup wasn’t even filled to the top.

I’m a pretty big fan of Skillet, and the reason in simple, the food is great! It’s always prepared hot and fresh and the flavors are great. I’m a huge sandwich fan so thus far I’ve stayed pretty true to «The Burger»(Gotta love that Bacon Jam!) & «Fried Chicken Sammie», but I’m looking forward to trying their other menu offerings as well. This place is quickly becoming a staple in my lunch time rotation, because I’ve had nothing but positive experiences every time I visit(the reason I frequent). It’s a little on the pricier side at about $ 12 per person, but it is well worth it.

I really like comfort food and Skillet seems to like to serve up comfort. Who doesn’t like a traditional grilled chesse sandwhich, «I DO!» Except their grilled cheese offers a delicious blend of cheeses. I would really like raw onions or a raw slice of tomato on my grown up grilled cheese, but with all that dairy who cares! Don’t forget to try their milkshakes. Chocolate and vanilla seems to be Skillet’s favourite bc that is what flavours are offered, what happened to strawberry? Again, dairy wins this mouth. Their milkshakes taste homemade just like their grilled cheese! Expensive prices, but it comes with yummy bites!

Love that actually good restaurants like this are now food options at Seattle Center vs the tired old chain restaurants that used to populate the Armory. I’m particular to «The Burger»(the one with the bacon jam), love that you can get beer here, and my kids really enjoy the gooey peanut-butter sandwich. It’s a slimmed down version of what you can get at Skillet on Capitol Hill, probably more like what they served out of the food truck in terms of selection. Line tends to move quickly when there is one.
