Lovely Italian place right on Ventura Blvd. we have been going here for years. Very nice staff. Delicious calamari and chicken dishes. There bread is great as well.
Parking is difficult so we normally walk a bit. Overalls we have been very happy with the food and service here.

Having been a fan of Maria’s Italian Kitchen for years and years, I recently tried their Pizza Margarita. I regret to say that they can do better, the pizza has the same medium thickness crust as their regular pizza which isn’t what I would expect from a true Margarita.

We love the spaghetti & meatballs– it’s consistently good. The Caesar salad is really good too. Tonight we ordered the garlic cheese bread to go, it’s burnt. Not sure why they would send this out like this, not cool

Came in for lunch and ordered the half size bbq chicken chopped salad and medium Boulevard pizza and both were so good!
The half size is a really big bowl size portion and the medium pizza is big enough for two!
They are also a gluten free friendly place as well, which is a plus for my wife who has a gluten allergy. Good portion size, great price, and helpful friendly staff. We will definitely be back!

Service, food and music… We LOVE this place!!! Be sure to try the original meatballs … the keep us coming back.

Enjoyed the chicken Marsala very much! Haven’t eaten at Maria’s for at least 10 years and I will come back after today’s meal.
The ambience was a little sleepy for a Friday night but I think I will grab lunch or a weekday dinner here next time.
Service was not super quick but I think there was only 1 waiter, I wasn’t in a rush but I’m sure it was understaffed.
I’ll be back !!

Great casual Tuesday night dinner with the hubby! Not to mention half price wine bottles score! We started to the meatballmania app which consisted of three beef balls with marinara three chicken with pesto and thee pork with a «spicy bbq marinara» the chicken won my award where as the hubby enjoyed the pork balls…
For my entrée I ordered the orecchiette with chicken fennel sausage and broccoli rabe b dish in fact did have the true broccoli rabe and yes the chicken sausage is crumbled but I didn’t expect it in links as it did not say links needless to say it was amazing! I would definitely order it again. The hubby ordered carbonara with pork sausage he as well fully enjoyed it didn’t even leave a pea in his dish! Lol
We had great service! Our Waiter checked in with us multiple times! Thank you Maria’s I think we found a new Tuesday dinner date night restaurant!

I ordered their Linguini with Bolognese for delivery. It took forever to get here, an hour and I live 3 blocks away, no kidding. The delivery guy was so sweet but the pasta was dry as all hell! I choked fighting my way through it (lap band patients have to chew everything to mush and that mush can’t be dry or it will get stuck in the band), and was so damn upset. I was so uncomfortable i couldn’t even be bothered to call and tell them how terrible this was plus who wants to do that after an hour? I have eaten here more times than I can count, but this was completely unacceptable. And saving this large dish for leftovers isn’t even an option as we know the little sauce that was there was completely soaked up this morning. A complete waste of money and I definitely won’t ever order delivery again.
Sucks that I feel that I need to be there in case they fuck up so I can send it back to the kitchen.

We love going to Maria’s — we are always a big party and they never miss a beat with our order — Love the Chicken florentine risotto, salads and the chicken dishes are so delicious
I highly recommend giving it a try if you have never been — If you have see you there!

Food is pretty good. It is a more traditional Italian restaurant with pizza, pasta, calzone and sub (hoagie) sandwiches.
Service is good but on the slower side.
I have done one of their takeout combos and I thought it was a good amount of good for the price.

I was here this past Friday with a friend and was very happy with my experience here both with the food and service. The restaurant was clean and the booth where we sat was comfortable. Our waiter Bob was on pointe as he was very attentive and got our orders right the first time. The food, when it arrived, was hot and quite delicious not to mention filling. I highly recommend Maria’s Meatloaf hands down. :-) I would return to Maria’s Italian Kitchen again.

This is the third or fourth time I’ve been to this Maria’s Italian Kitchen… I have to say I will likely not come back. My wife and I each ordered the chopped salad that was supposed to include four or five ingredients besides iceberg lettuce. Well (I think you can already guess where I’m going) the salad was about 90% … You guessed it… ICEBERG LETTUCE!!!
In complete contrast… Go to the marina del rey establishment and you will find a true salad.
The waitress at the Sherman oaks restaurant was (it seems) on some kind of stimulant she was like a nervous wreck. Any… enough said. But I’ll say that The Manager was very nice and did most of the front end work (hence my score of three instead of 2).

I love this place especially when u come early! Manager n staff r great for the lunch crowds! Pizza is fab, my Caesar to my liking. Love the sauteed veggies.
also the special roasted garlic they prepare for me when they see me rolling in. Vegee lasagna is also great!

I used to eat here all of the time, but since I can no longer eat gluten I stopped coming here. I received my birthday email as a part of their club and decided to give their gluten free menu a try. They do NOT have gluten free pasta. They substitute risotto for some dishes. There is a big disclaimer that the food is prepared in a kitchen with gluten. If you are super super sensitive I might avoid eating here, but I seem to be ok. I had this yummy salad & pizza.

Haven’t been here in awhile and don’t plan to return. Inconsistency is never a good thing and this place can’t seem to make up their mind about select menu items. I’ve been coming here for years and depending on who is working the menu and it’s options are different.
Sitting down for dinner and going back and forth with a server and then manager about an item you’ve been able to order time and time again surely doesn’t allow for a pleasant dining experience.
I’d skip this place for sure, there are plenty of other decent dining options along Ventura.

Not really the best place to come, but it’s perfect for a «whatever» meal.
They weren’t too busy when we arrived on a Saturday night. Is that a good sign? Or a bad one? Got seated right away, and the staff was very nice.
The only problem is the food took quite a while to come out, and there didn’t seem to be too many guests dining. When the food arrived it tasted like hospital cafeteria food.
It’s cheap and convenient. I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone.

The Service: EXCELLENT! Starting from the host to our server, very warm/​friendly and attentive. Food is served in less than 5 minutes!
The Food:
Caprese — Tomato and mozzarella cheese are very fresh. Very light & refreshing appetizer.
BBQ Chicken Salad — Dressing is very creamy. Love the grilled corn, a little bit smokey taste. Love the texture of the fried onion topping. Full size salad, perfect for sharing.
Flourless Chocolate Cake — If you like dark chocolate, this is the dessert for you. A little bit bitter and full of dark chocolate taste.
Apple Crumble Cake — They didn’t put too much sugar in this dessert. The sweetness of the apple and cinnamon taste is perfect combination. The crust is so flaky and the whipped cream is so creamy. Love this dessert!
The Parking: Valet parking (at the back of the restaurant) and Street Metered Parking (almost impossible to find any spot)
