I left a pair of boots at Charlie’s for a difficult repair. The clerk told me he was confident they could fix them, but I’d get a call from the owner within a day to explain the process and I could plan to pick them up in a week. No call from the owner ever came. After 4 days, I called to check and was told, again, they’d be able to fix them. I waited an extra couple days beyond my pick up date and I called, assuming I’d be on my way to pick them up. I was told that they’d decided they couldn’t do anything. I asked why they didn’t call and tell me that, and they said they’d been too busy. So, a full 10 days later with no phone call or notice from Charlie’s, I’m picking up boots that haven’t been touched! Very poor customer service. I won’t be back.

I admit the work done was EXCEPTIONAL not only were the soles replaced the cork was built back up to even the walking surface. As stated previously I asked for the charges, when I got there an the total was 172 not a big deal right… but when I did a double take and said that was not the price I was quoted, the comment was made; «well you have to pay taxes, you don’t expect us to pay them for you.» Maybe I expected too much? Alas… I am truly saddened that the quality of work done cannot make up for the bad customer service I received
