Federico’s Pizza Express

I visit Joann Fabrics on occasion and usually make a default visit to Panera while I’m out that way when I’m hungry, but yesterday, I overheard someone mention a calzone, and I decided I needed to consume one.
Even though the two guys behind the counter were fixated on the football game on the television, they did not ignore a single customer that walked in. It makes up for the fact that they, abruptly and without warning start hooting and hollering in unison when something exciting happened on that little tv. I wonder if they have neck pains from always looking up at that thing. And I’m certain they regularly scare the shit out of their customers when they start cheering like fanboys when their favorite team does something mildly impressive.
The calzone was prepared while we waited and it was excellent. We shared a slice of pizza while waiting and it was ALMOST as good as pizza we’ve enjoyed in NY. The crust is crisp and a little thin but not so much so that it loses it’s integrity.
Even though this is a strip mall joint that old unkempt people stroll into for soup and a fountain soda, do check it out.

This is solid Jersey east coast pizza. If you had some people visiting from out of state and you wanted to introduce them to our pizza, this would be it. Service was good and the Unilocal deal worked very easily, told the guy when he was ringing me up, showed him the code and I was off.

Never had a bad meal, will be sorry to move away. Our favorite pizzas were the special and white with fresh tomatoes.

Very good local place– love the Sicilian slices and the pepperoni and provolone hero. …chicken fingers and money too… nice guys as well.

Ordered a large white pizza for takeout. The guy on the phone recommended I add fresh tomato and garlic. Got home and had one of the most delicious pies I have ever had. Have been here before and always consistent.

Nice town pizza place. Was packed with people coming in to pick-​up, always a good indication of popularity. Well worth it too. I had the Federico’s special, one of the best pizza and topping combinations I’ve had in a while. I wish I had ordered extra cheese, though. Plus, I had to dab off the grease initially. But, it was a small town pizza place with little booths. Had some of those free magazines you could read if you were just enjoying some time between work. Guy behind the counter was nice and attentive. When I went they had a special on the conoli’s. I watched him fill the fresh shells with the cream. Cream had some chocolate chips in it. Then he placed powdered sugar over the whole lot. Some of the best conoli’s I had. Really creamy, sweet, crunchy and fresh. If they have the special ($ 2/​piece– not sure what the regular price is), or even if they don’t. If you are looking for a special treat, this is the place to go. I hope they are prepared for my Christmas order of them.

Order for Delivery and got here in a timely manor. Sad to say the pizza looked and tasted like it had been sitting around for 4 hours. Even the hot pepper seed seemed old and tasteless. Overall It was «Meh» and I probably will not order from there again.

Food good, service slow — it was busy, not a terrible wait. Salad was boring but the pizza was good

They make one of the best Sicilian slices I’ve ever eaten. It is very light and airy with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Their regular slice is decent too, but don’t leave without trying their Sicilian.

The place was neat and clean. The food (#7 Italian hero) and service were very good.
The only knock is that the pizza was a little light on the cheese.
No problems using the Unilocal deal was a plus. We will return to the pizzeria.

Stopped in for a couple of quick slices. Had the sausage slices which came out hot with large pieces of sausage, sauce was delicious and the crust was nice and thin but not dry and «cardboardish». Two large slices and a fountain drink for just over $ 5, great deal.

We had the dinner special – salad, pasta, and main course and got a couple of slices. The chicken parm and stuffed rigatoni were straight delicious. We sopped up every drop of the red sauce with the bread from the free bread basket. The slices were also very good. The crust is thin and crispy but not dry and cracker-​y. This might be the cleanest pizza place like this that I’ve ever seen. The staff was constantly cleaning, and we didn’t leave smelling like food.

Small little pizza store in Shrewsbury Plaza, however its a gem. I ordered a Margarita pizza. Chicken marsala and a house salad. The pizza was very fresh and you could tell that they use fresh ingredients. The chicken marsala was excellent. The sauce was great and would recommend getting it. The house salad had a nice lite dressing as opposed to other restaurants that drench their salad in dressing. Would come back again

Went on Unilocal to find thw phone number and found they had a Unilocal deal. $ 10 for $ 5 I took the deal called my order in… showed up showed my code and paid $ 3 …$ 8 bucks for non chain pizza… best deal ever…

Federico’s is my fave pizza place in the area. They also have great pasta and sandwiches, reasonably priced. The people that work there are always friendly and courteous.

Pizza is meh. If you have never had awesome pizza, this will do. If you are from NY (many of my co-​workers) you will only have the pie once.
The sandwiches on the other hand are huge, delicious, and reasonably priced. A great place for a chicken parm!

Great pizza!

Hands down this is the best pizza shop in the area. Their chicken cheese steak is friggin amazing. The staff is awesome and fun to chill with. Bring some beer and eat on a Friday night.

Pretty good New York Style Pizza. When you get a slice fresh from the oven, the crust and dough is very crispy with soft cheesy cheese (sorry, I’m watching TV so I can’t think of a good adjective). Decently sized slices. They specialize is making a crap load of cheese pizzas and throwing toppings on there when they have to re-​heat.
Be weary if you come at the tail end of the lunch rush. When it’s been sitting out, the pizza is not that great.
