Well worth checking this place out! The bento box was a great deal with enough food for two meals really. We had a very nice helpful waiter(although he seemed over worked with too many tables for one person, but it didn’t really cause problems). Try the dragon roll… best I’ve had!

I went in for dinner tonight and I sat for 25 minutes before anyone asked for my drink order. I sat for another 25 minutes just waiting on someone to take my food order them almost 45 for my food. There was only 4 other people in the restaurant and there was only one waitress who didn’t seem to be in a hurry for anything. Half the time she stood in the corner watching everyone. People had there empty cups set at the end of the table as a sign that they needed refilled and still she stood there and looked at them. I would hate to go in on a busy night!

We showed up here around 7pm on a Sunday night to get something to eat before checking into our hotel. I realize finding a sit down restaurant on a Sunday night is sometimes difficult to find, so you work with what you have. Bad things first the beef teriyaki my friend had seemed old and dried out, we were offered an option of soup and then told they only had one kind left. Rainbow roll was okay, I could take or leave the Spicy Mama somehow didn’t seem fresh. My husband had the Happy Family and said it was delicious. We also ordered shrimp with walnut and that was really good. Waitress was courteous and attentive, of course there were only 2 other tables there at the time.

My fiancé and I wanted sushi one Saturday evening. We have only been here a few weeks and I knew Asian Chef had sushi because their sign said so ;) We walked in and were seated right away. We ordered the Cheese Puffs as an appetizer(cream cheese in wonton wrappers). We got 8 of them for $ 4, which is the cheapest I’ve ever seen them. They were delicious! Of course, I may be biased because I love fried food and anything with cheese. For our entrees, we both ordered a Japanese Bento box with 2 items. He ordered a Philadelphia Roll and California Roll. I ordered a Philadelphia Roll and Chicken Teriyaki… but I GOT a California roll and Chicken Teriyaki. I did not send my Cali Roll back because I was so hungry. So my fiancé graciously switched 4 pieces of his Philly Roll with my Cali Roll. Both rolls were delicious! These Bento boxes are a GREAT deal! It was only $ 10 for 2 items, a soup, a salad, an egg roll, edamame, and fried or steamed rice. This is the item I will be ordering again and again!

As sad as it makes me, I have to take my rating of Asian Chef down three notches. I’ve been very happy with them, so know how much this pains me. A friend and I were going out for some dinner, and we decided on Chef because we both like it quite a bit. Unfortunately, it took about 24 minutes for us to finally get our dinners. If the entire restaurant was busy, or if we’d ordered something complicated I could understand the delay, but as it was it was medium/light crowd and we got two of the basic bento boxes. The food was great as per usual, but the crazy delay was very disappointing. Please, please do better next time. As I said, I’ve been very happy with them, so I’m hoping that this was a one-night fluke.
