Tigon Martial Arts

I am surprised by some of the things said in the other reviews. My son just finished the 9 weeks for $ 99 and we never felt anything but love and acceptance from Master Chang and Master Sunni. They are amazing with the children and have taken extra steps with my son to conquer his shyness. They never pressured me about the tuition to continue. As a matter of fact, I had to ask her to to sit down with me and go over the cost of continuing… I with hold my judgement on belt advancement till I experience more… I also signed my son up to attend their afterschool learning academy after seeing the well behaved and displined children in there happily doing their school work. I am struggling to get that same atmosphere at home for my kindergartner with 3 yr old twins causing distraction. I want him to start his education with good study habits. I will update on the academy experience as time goes by.

Tigons has been a great experience. I did training 9 week program, which was very affordable and have learned first hand new skills. Here we are a team and come together to build self respect, discipline, self defense. This sport is good for your spirit & well being. A great workout! The instructors are so helpful, and give encouragement. Master David and Master Sonny always encourage to try your best! If you interested in Taekwondo, Tigons Martial arts is the place to start. Its a small, friendly, well rounded place.

This studio does not work well in communication or complying with a Judgment in place. They only would accommodate the parent who is paying them. I do agree with the previous posting that the kids are constantly being advance when they are not ready just so that they can get the extra income from testing. As a mother, I asked for a copy of the contract for the children which they refuse to provide even though there is signed court Judgment confirming I am to have access. I do not recommend this place due to their poor communication, lack of professionalism, and the ability to work with both parents to benefit the children in their class. I know so many people who have left also due to their negative experience.

The instructors are great with the kids. The kids do have a good time and do learn. However, I feel that too many kids advance to another color belt when they are not ready. I understand that it is a business and they need to keep kids and parents happy to continue to succeed. Also, be prepared to spend extra money on belt testing (every 2 months) and sparing equipment. This is with every martial arts school.
