BEST HIDDEN TREASURE FOR EYEBROW THREADING!
I used to have my eyebrows waxed even though I don’t like how my skin feels after and sometimes I would get bumps on the waxing site. A couple years ago someone introduced me to threading and I love it so much better.
I was going to a place called Bollywood brow in Westlake by my job but one day about a year and a half ago, the shop was closed and I really needed my eyebrows done. I searched Unilocal (it was actually my 1^st experience using the service to find something) and I found this place and it was close to my home. After reading the reviews others left I decided to give it a try and she is actually a few dollars cheaper and does a great job! Didi is a total pro at shaping and threading them. It is quick and doesn’t hurt.
Don’t discount this place because it is a spice store and she happens to charge less. I have tried other places once or twice in a pinch but I am a regular at this place and I come every 2 to 3 weeks to get my eyebrows cleaned up. I even brought my sister in when she visits from AZ. If you prefer threading like me try this place. I just walk in and she takes care of me.

I heard about the best threading in Simi Valley here from my dear friend Erin D. I currently live in San Diego but come back to Simi at least once a month to visit my family and I always try and get my brows threaded here if I’m in town at some point Wednesday to Saturday.
My eyebrows naturally grow out weird, so in the past when I’ve gotten them waxed or threaded, I feel like the person always had a difficult time shaping them. I wish I had perfect full, symmetrical brows, but I don’t. Kamal (not sure what her name is but I’m pulling that from Min D’s review, so thanks Min) makes them look as good as they can be.
There are no words to describe how awesome she is with threading. She is definitely an artist and creates masterpieces when it comes to brows. Fru-​fru salons will overcharge you for a crappy threading job. For $ 12 ($ 8 brows and $ 4 upper lip) you’d probably get much better work done here.
I feel like I haven’t found anyone in San Diego even comparable. Sometimes I’ll just let my eyebrows grow wild until I can come back to Simi and get my brows threaded here. I wish I had fuller, bushier brows just so she could do more to them. If I had superpowers, I would teleport her to San Diego because that’s how good she is.

What separates this place from other Indian stores is that you can get threading done here. Really convenient to have something like this in the Simi area!

BEST THREADING EXPERIENCE EVER! I was a little skeptical at first, i’m not going to lie. I am very picky about my eyebrows and getting my full face threaded, and after going to Layla’s at the Simi Mall since it opened, I was scared to try somewhere new. I’m a broke college student though, so I thought what the heck $ 25 for the full face is cheap and it’ll save me some money. Eyebrows alone are $ 8 and upper lip is $ 4, which altogether is better deal than most places! Symbol (think that’s how you pronounce it) was AMAZING. My eyebrows were really uneven after my last experience but she evened them out and gave me great tips to helping my eyebrows grow thicker and faster!
Can’t wait to go back. She was so friendly, and talked with me the whole time. Unlike any other place she took her time to make sure they were perfect and even! No one has ever done that! This is a must go too!
Don’t let the sketchy little corner area, or sketchy backroom (where she threads) discourage you. No this isn’t a high class threading place or salon, but she does a hell of a lot better than any other place!

Threading is done in the back of India Video & Spices on Wednesdays through Saturdays until 6pm. It’s $ 8 for eyebrows & $ 4 for the ‘stache. Just because it’s not a salon doesn’t mean it’s less worthy of your attention. On the contrary, the lady who does the threading is a pro. She shapes eyebrows beautifully & is quick & precise about it.
What keeps this from 5 stars is that it’s sometimes hard to find a workable time since she’s the only one who threads & she doesn’t wipe the hair from your face afterwards. It’s super cheap so w’evz; just make sure to call in advance & ask for a tissue when it’s over.
Pro-​Tip: Pick up some samosas on the way out!
