Outstanding! I really appreciate the Spicy Phở. Wonderful flavor and textures. Sioux Falls needs more cuisine like this. Well done!

Went for lunch. I had the spicy phở and egg rolls. The phở was really good. I’m much more of a fan of thin noodles, but that doesn’t affect my review. The flavor was excellent. The consistency was great. The reason for 4 stars was only because I though the egg rolls could come out of the fryer a little sooner. All 4 of them had burnt ends. And I think the egg rolls are over priced — 4 rolls for $ 6. For mini egg rolls, they should be a $ 1 piece. So the order would be more fair at $ 4. I would recommend this place and I will be back to try other things on the menu.

I ordered the spicy phở, tried an egg roll and a spring roll and wow they’re food is sooo good, the soup literally warmed up my soul in this cold crappy weather. I’m not a fan a spring rolls but theirs was actually really really good… mmm I just want to go eat more. Service was good all the servers were on top of everything. Will be going back, probably weekly :)

This place really blew my mind! I was not expecting the phở to be even half as good as it was. I got the spicy phở which I was surprised to find had udon instead of the usual rice noodles, which was probably my bad for not reading carefully. It was really solid. That being said the other phở on the menu are the ones to get, the beef options are just so flavorful. Also there is chili on the table so you can spice it up yourself! I wish I could have this on hand everywhere I went so I could introduce my friends and family who have never tried phở before to some of this quality.

Was craving some phở and looked this place up. Since it had pretty stellar reviews we decided to head out. I had the combo phở and it was delicious!

Quite amazing vegetarian options. Only downside would be no vegetarian option for Phở(which I enjoy quite a bit here in Madison). I ended up with the vegetable«season» bowl was great with the noodles/fried food. Sauce/seasoning was perfectly done — a great combination of spice and sweet. The tofu appetizer was HUGE but probably not my favorite I’ve had(think it’d be better with peanut sauce). Would definitely stop here again if I pass through SD again.

Food is authentic and tasty, but pricy and small portion. Im comparing it to what I get at Boston, not sure if this size and price is normal in this area.

Can’t believe we found such authentic Vietnamese food here! Having phở in the middle of a long road trip is such a treat :)

I had the spring rolls which were good and shared them with my brother. He had a pork and egg dumpling thing which was outstanding. I order the Phở combo which was delicious. It was a lot of food and was tough to finish everything. I would recommend Lams to anyone looking for some good food at a good price. Their chili sauce has a great garlic and chili taste.

The food here is fantastic. The coffee is perfect. Spring rolls and pork buns? Spot on. Service? Sparkling. Price? Affordable. Everything scratch every plate of food made with fresh ingredients and love. Go forth and eat noodles.

Some really dependable Phở, phở sho! On our last day in Sioux Falls, my family and I ate so much the whole weekend that we sought something lighter. Lam’s was the answer. To start, the Egg Rolls tasted yummy and fresh while the Fried Tofu was surprisingly light and delicate with a thin, crunchy«skin». I ordered a small Combo Phở of chuck roast, beef balls, and rare eye round. The phở broth was amazing and even more so with the addition of bean sprouts, lime juice, and mint leaves. The quality of these motivated us to order a Meat Bun and Banh Mi sandwiches stuffed with beef balls, pickled papaya, jalapeño, cilantro, and more to take with us on our trip back to New Jersey. We whipped them out on the plane from Sioux Falls to O’Hare and boy, was everyone else jealous. While the bread could have used a little toasting, they smelled and tasted sooo good.

I grew up in the neighborhood that is just north of Lam’s and so my interest was piqued about this restaurant for quite awhile. A few months ago I finally had a chance to swing past the old ‘hood with friends and give Lam’s a try. It was my first time trying Vietnamese food and I was instantly hooked on the Spring bowl– in fact, I crave it almost consistently and now eat it almost weekly either dining in or carry out. The flavors are just so light and fresh. My husband and I have also tried the spring rolls(great!), and he’s a fan of the shrimp fried noodles. The service and food quality is always consistent, and I’ve even converted my parents(both in their 60’s) to the awesomeness that is Lam’s. Seriously, if you think a place like this isn’t for you, think again and give it a try– you will be glad you did.

Ate at Lam’s for the first time in a couple years tonight. Same great management and the phở soup was as good as I remembered. Glad to see they had a most of the tables seated, they deserve it. Sioux Falls is lucky to have them.

Discovered this great place by accident. Best noodle bowl I’ve had for awhile. Very nice people and great service. Place is very clean and looks like an old church on the outside.

Ate there last night and it was my first time trying Phở after seeing it on so many TV shows that I watch. I tried the Phở DB which was the beef combination. It was fantastic. I’m a soup fanatic and this is a new favorite. The broth was great and then to add in the layers of flavor with Sri Racha, Hoisin, lime, mint, and sprouts sent it over the top. Also had the eggrolls and they were good also. This will be a regular stop. Really looking forward to trying the other versions including the spicy Phở. I used the chopsticks, it wasn’t pretty but I’m getting better. The other thing that was so impressive was the restaurant itself. It appears to be in a small church converted into a restaurant. It was very clean and bright. The staff was very friendly and the bathrooms were spotless. Matty approved!

This is a stop we look forward to on our semi-annual jaunts across SD. This place is IT! Delicious. Love the seasons bowls(with noodles, meats and veggies) as well as the banh mi and fresh spring rolls and pork buns and, and, and… basically, you can’t miss here. Cheap, healthy, clean, refreshingly unassuming. It’s just about the food here, not the décor or being seen. What more can you ask for? Give those French fries, iceberg lettuce, and burgers a break and tap Lam’s address into your GPS. You’ll be so glad you did. The chef, Hai Lam, has been nominated by his chef peers as one of the best chefs in America, and he deserves it. Google the BCA website, search your hometown, and chances are all the nominees will be chefs at very high end places(expensive, dressy, head trippy). Lam’s is none of these. We had an appetizer, two banh mi, a small soup, and a noodle bowl for $ 27. That’s incredible for food of this quality. A real treasure.

Ate here a while back. I didn’t have a Unilocal back then, but I still want to give them a review and 5 stars because they deserve it. — Environment is very nice, place is clean and well kept. Pleasant place to be and temperature is just right. — The customer service was VERY excellent! I’m big on customer service. Food came out at a timely manner, was treated with respect. Cups were filled before needing to ask. — Now for the FOOD! . Nearly everything you see on the menu has a picture for it… and unlike most places, the food at Lam’s comes out as delicious as it looks on the picture! Major bonus! Their food tastes excellent. I had the combo bowl with noodles, shrimp, beef and veggies. Delicious! delicious!!! My friends had Phở and it was on point! — Price. Very reasonable! You could pay almost double elsewhere for the good food you get here for fairly cheap! Good portion of good and the right amount of meat! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who likes delicious food. Have a great day!
