I work right next door to the pub and always see a lot of people going in and out. Assumed since they seemed to b busy the place must b pretty good. Nah not so much. As mentioned in other comments no one at the door to greet you. Just stand there for 5+min and wait to b seated. Didn’t take long for the waitress(blonde as mentioned in another post) to come over(place was pretty dead) but she wasn’t very friendly. Never Introduced herself ect. Just threw the menu at us. Once we finally ordered it felt like forever to get our salads. We were done those a solid 20min before our food came. Which neither did our waitress bring to us. Actually the kitchen staff did. It was Luke warm to say the least. My med well steak was med rare. One bite into the meal she came to see how it was. Since we waited so long allready we didn’t want to send the food back to b recooked or reheated. Overall was a terrible experience. Won’t be going back.

Great meal again. We love this place. The service is good so is the food. One of my favorite pubs.

Stopped by late afternoon today. Was looking for a place to finish the 1pm games. Two games on three TV’a. I had hoped to catch the end of the Jets game. Not sure they have NFL ticket, but didn’t ask them to change the channel. I don’t know, I just didn’t feel welcomed. No IPA’s on draft. But 314th Stars, but no Tribute. It was awkward, as if I shouldn’t be asking for an IPA. Michelle, heard her name, she didn’t introduce her self, gave me a menu. It was like they knew I was there but didn’t didn’t really address me. The bartender(younger blonde girl) who was finishing her shift, was checking her phone and texting a lot in the time I was there. I finished my beer 15 – 20 later and said I was good, i was never asked if I wanted to order any food. I little friendliness and a check in on my plans could have saved the rating and review, I was on the fence, but $ 8 for 6 wings a seemed a little high, but that could have been an impression of the overall menu being priced above the perceived establishments visual impression, although I have an extra star for the signature sauces, and what could have been. I can’t ding for food, as I didn’t eat. I’m just not sure I want to try again. Maybe…

Food is great! Really happy to see a veggie burger on the menu! If I was only reviewing the food it would be five stars; however, it’s more than just the food. The drinks aren’t bad, the bartenders are usually pretty nice. They don’t really have much of a cocktail program, though. I’ve been there four or five times, one of the times I asked the bartender to recommend a drink for me, and he just kind of whipped something up. It wasn’t great, but it was alright. My major gripe with this place is the awful service. Upon entering, there’s usually nobody there to greet you and seat you at a table. It takes a few minutes to get the menu, and I have felt neglected there a bit. Upon my first visit, my fiancé and I sat at the bar. While waiting for our food one of the waitresses was standing directly across the bar from us, texting on her phone, and complaining to one of her coworkers about the conversation she was having on her phone. She didn’t acknowledge us at all, and came over every couple of minutes to check her phone. It was very unprofessional; I don’t care if people use their phone on the job, just take it out back instead of leaving me feeling awkward watching you text! Whenever I go in for takeout, it’s always a long wait until somebody even notices you standing there; which is bad because I’m on my lunch break and need to get back to work. One of the times I went in for take out, that same blonde waitress was staring at me from the bar and didn’t greet me even just to say my food was almost ready. I really just needed to get this out. This place has a great potential in it, however the service needs to improve or else I cannot keep giving them my business. The food is great, I honestly usually hate sports bars, but this one hasn’t been too rowdy the times I’ve dined in; but I really don’t appreciate the lack of professionalism and feeling so awkward whenever I get food there. Kudos to the cooks!

The music is excellent, if you love mid 90s rock piped in; which I do. Other than that it’s a very mediocre experience at 84 Main. If it weren’t for the TVs, only half of which are tuned to sports at any given time, I would probably stay home. The food is pricey for what you get compared to sports bars in Burlington. At over $ 1 per wing, you’re paying the premium for being close to home. Most flavors aren’t bad, and the wings are usually well cooked.(I avoid the garlic parmesan since they were coated in canned alfredo sauce during my first visit) chilli gets less spectacular every time I’m here, and it’s a small bowl for the price. The fried asperagus and green beans are a nice addition. There’s really nothing special about any of the entrees though. In short, it’s ok. .. If I have to. .. I guess. The wait staff has either much improved, or we just got lucky tonight. Gladly, it’s not too busy even though it’s a big sports night. Which I guess is all you really need to know about a sports bar.

The entrees are just okay and the beer selection changes a bit, but as far as a «Sports Grill» let’s just hope that the game that you’re watching ends before 10:00 or you will be greeted with an awkward bill and the staff closing up around you.

84 Main was okay. I had the traditional burger, it was good but not great. Service was super slow. Our waitress was nice but wasn’t extremely helpful or knowledgeable about the menu. I wouldn’t go back, but overall it was okay.

84 main is 84 plain. Service is a bit slow today, but perhaps because it’s a Tuesday. The bartender was handling all of the tables and doing the best she could. The food was solid but not spectacular. I ordered a Bob White burger, with Vermont cheddar And bacon, a bit over cooked but yummy! This is a good joint. Decent food, and you don’t have a lot of options in St Albans. The fries were tasty, but all six people at my table got the small crusty fries At the bottom of the barrel.

Only been here once and not going back — the Bobwhite burger was pretty good(with onions right in the patty), but the food lacked seasoning overall, the meat on the Philly sandwich was tough, and service was a major fail. There is no greeting station when you walk in, and servers walked by, looking at us, multiple times without acknowledging us. It was busy, so we got take out, but we waited way too long to place our order and we were ignored by servers again when we came to pick it up. There is no place to put down your food or to sign your receipt, and server ordering station is set up so their back is to you when you walk in. I would be willing to give their food another chance, but don’t feel like paying money to be ignored by the staff.

Excellent Pub Food. Nice selection of local microbrews including St. Albans own award winning 14th Star. Service had been very good every visit I’ve made. It may well be the best place in town to eat because it seems like it’s always packed(it doesn’t feel crowded though). There is WiFi courtesy one of the neighbors that works pretty well. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly. Nice ambiance; it’s well lighted and clean with sports on the wall mounted TVs(they could be a bit bigger — my only gripe) and lots of sports memorabilia on the wall. If you’re looking for a nice place to watch the game, this is the place in St. Albans.
