This was my first time at a Blaze, and as many people have said, this is the Chipotle model for pizzas. Pick a crust, sauce, cheese, toppings. Now I didn’t realize it right away, but the specialty pizzas they have are more suggestions than anything. If you pay the higher price, you can put whatever toppings you want on it. I also didn’t realize that you can ask for pizzas half-and-half, which would’ve worked well since my fiancée and I were splitting one. Ah well. The pizza itself came quickly and was the perfect snack for us, though the people behind the counter seemed to have some trouble communicating with us. If there was one near my office I could see myself coming here for a quick work lunch, especially since I can load it up with veggies. I also tried their blood orange lemonade which kind of tasted like regular lemonade, but regular lemonade is still pretty good even in winter time. It’s awkward reviewing chains like this since I’m not sure how it compares to other locations if the food is a constant, but if I’m ever back at this outdoor mall in Chicagoland I’d stop in again.

Good price for customized pizza! I got it with all the ingredients I like! Then it was fired for only 5 minutes to be done! lol!

My teenage daughter turned me onto this place. It’s now my go to place to take them to eat. They love it and I like it. The pizza is really good. You customize it with what you like. It’s fired in about 5 minutes. Fresh, hot, and exactly how you like it. It is «thin» crust. Fresh ingredients. If you like spicy, they have a spicy sauce that is hot. I thought it overpowered the pizza. The best part is to adjust your pizza next time. After 4 – 5 times here, I think I have it dialed in perfectly.

First time at this location. I’ve ordered from the Belmont location many times, almost always the same bbq chicken, and this one seemed to be having some quality problems the Friday night I went. Fortunately, my pizza turned out delish, but several pizzas before mine were pretty burnt to the point where I sighed relief when I saw my pizza safely plop onto the counter. Unfortunately, some drama happened because one mom customer got the burnt pizzas and gave the manager a piece of her mind: s $ 8.45 for unlimited toppings $ 6.251-topping $ 5 cheese pizza

As someone who is lactose intolerant and semi sensitive to gluten, this place was amazing. They even asked if they should change gloves making my pizza. And the pizza was really was delicious!

I am sure this place will become a fast favorite, pun intended. I could hardly believe they got those delicious pizzas ready for us in such a short time. Another huge plus for me is the spicy red sauce. Fast, economical and yummy! Ideal for a quick bite at the mall or an early dinner on a Friday night with tired children!

Simply put, Blaze pizza is the Chipotle-style/subway-style/Quiznos/ect. of pizza. For $ 8, you can get a personal 11″ pizza with as many toppings as you like, oven roasted for you and ready to eat in 5 to 10 minutes depending on location. If you just want a single topping, expect to pay $ 6 instead. They also offer salads, beer and juices, and delicious S’more cookies as sides. You can also get a regular cup for their soda fountain or their in-house lemonade. If this sounds amazing to you, trust me, it is. The only reason that this specific location is getting 2 stars is because the amazing food and services were marred by the staff that were serving me. When I arrived, the poor order taker was left with his pants down as three or four of his colleagues were chatting it up at the register. When he asked for help, one of them snarkily replied«I’m on break» before whipping out his phone and ignoring us. He had no nametag, coincidentally. Finally a girl came from the back room, and made my pizza. When I went to pay for my order, I had to request the S’mores cookie, which the server put in a bag and handed to me. Nothing much to complain about, but I heard they were heated up for you in the oven, so I was a bit disappointed. While waiting for my pizza I went to the bathroom, where the sight of god-knows-what was on the floor, and the roll of toilet paper just sitting on top of the tank. I also noticed that another employee went to take their break right in the dining room, playing on their phone. This girl also did not have a nametag. And during my visit, the music level inside was so bad I had to move out to the patio to save my ears. The night was saved by the very sweet blue haired girl who made my pizza. She ended up cutting and serving it to me, and even came by the table multiple times to ask me how I was doing and if I needed anything. I regret not remembering her name, but her service salvaged my visit. She was busting her ass doing multiple stations while her co-workers sat around on their phones and talking with each other, ignoring customers. Compared to other locations, this location gets a lower score due to staff and bathroom cleanliness. Make no mistake, however. The pizza is easily 5 stars. Be sure to try this chain of wonderful thin-crust pizza.

Mmmmm Chipotle stlye pizza restaurant? What could be better? It’s only $ 8 for unlimited toppings, and it’s SO filling– I can never finish the whole thing and always save half for left overs the next day. The ingredients are fresh, and it comes out in no time. My only gripe would be that it’s not crispy enough for me, but that’s my own personal preference. Next time I’ll probably ask if they can cook it for a little longer than usual. Other than that, GREAT concept and even better food!

My kid loves to shoot down to Blaze with his friends. He’s raved about it for a while so I gave it a try last night. The food comes quick. Definitely has a fast food vibe but more hip and fresh ingredients. Outdoor seating is a bonus, and the enthusiastic staff were smiling all around. Being gluten-free, my choices are limited for pizza places. Blaze did a fine job. The pizza has a unique flavor and decent texture, it’s just not as good as some other gluten-free pizzas I’ve had, sorry. For a fast food pizza joint, not bad at all. Three stars for flavor, one extra star for a great staff and gluten-free option. I would eat there again, I just wouldn’t make a special trip like I did last night.

This is a great concept for pizza. It’s always bugged me that pizza places charge some ridiculous amount for each ingredient when you roll your own. Well not at Blaze. Here you can get anything you like, in any combination, for one reasonable price. Assembly is quick and easy, and the baking process is equally quick, so it’s as fast as fast food, but completely custom, and with much better ingredients. Service was friendly and efficient, and they took extra care to get my crust crispy, the way I like it, and to melt the ricotta cheese I selected. It’s great that there’s finally an excellent pizza place in Evanston!

Overall, I was really impressed with Blaze and its super crispy crust and fresh toppings! I can’t wait to come back. By the numbers… 140: calories per slice in the green stripe pizza(chicken, mozz, garlic, red peppers, pesto, arugula), according to the nutrition on the website. I think that’s a little light if you ask me. 7.95: dollars it’ll cost you to customize your own 11″ pizza with UNLIMITED toppings! Go for the ovaltini mozz! I loved that you can see your toppings being put on the pie. 180: seconds it takes to fire up your personal pie. 9: number of coworkers I came with. Everyone seemed to be happy with the food, and a manager came by to ask how everything was. :o] Just note: the tables are bolted to the ground, so you can’t push them together. Go early to beat the lunch time rush! Blood orange: not a number, but Blaze offers lemonade in this flavor. Noise level gets energetic during peak hours.

This place is like the Chipotle of pizza. You can build your own pizza or pick from one of the signature pizzas listed. The pizza came out amazingly fast. I shared 3 pizzas — each pizza has 6 slices. I was only able to eat 3 slices which was more than enough to fill me up. We ordered: Meat eater: pepperoni, crumbled meatballs, red onion, mozzarella, red sauce Art lover: artichokes, mozzarella, ricotta, chopped garlic, red sauce dollops BBQ Chicken: grilled chicken, mozzarella, red onion, banana peppers, gorgonzola, bbq sauce drizzle All three pizzas were really good. I wasn’t expecting to like the art lover since it’s vegetarian and I usually like meat on my pizza, but it was surprisingly light and delicious. I recommend all three. I also like the option to order a gluten-free crust. I recommend this place, especially if you’re in a hurry since the pizza cooks so quickly. The next time I go, I’ll have to build my own pizza.

I have been to blaze pizza twice now. I have tried build your own pizza both times. The first with white sauce, chicken and bacon as the meat along with other topping on there buffet style toppings line. The other was with Classic red sauce, and Italian sausage.
When you enter there is a menu above the assembly line where they built your pizza. You can pick from one of their specialty pizzas or make your own. I chose to make my own both times like I stated before. Pizza line moves fast and pizza is cooked and ready quickly. The toppings aren’t partially outstanding and some seemed pretty processed and not partially the absolute freshest. The roasted garlic seemed to me to be the frozen garlic you but from store that had then been roasted. Over all it is a decent pizza that is more fast food style. I like the thin crust. Also how quickly it is made and done as well as you can have unlimited toppings. The one food item I love from there is the s’more pie. It is wonderful and great warmed up. It is a simple treat that takes me back to childhood.
The service is quick and efficient. The staff is not in particular energetic or friendly but not rude either. The atmosphere is nice with a good amount of seating. It reminds me a papa murphy’s except you do not have to cook your own pizza at home. I would go there again because it is so fast and pizza is decent. But as far as great pizza there is better out there.

I hadn’t realized that a Blaze had opened in Chicago until my daughter suggested we go to this one. We’d been to one in Indy last year and it was a so-so experience, but I was willing to try again and am very glad I did. This location is clean and the staff is organized. The food ia great, I really like the crust that Blaze uses. The fact that it’s the same price for two or 20 toppings is great too… but we appreciate that a cheese is only $ 5, and one-topping is only $ 5.95. The only negative… crowded! This is where the northshore meets cheap dining and the number of New Trier, Glenbrook, Niles township kids proved it! If it’s good for families, probably a good spot for teens to crowd into too… and it seems to be. We’ll be back, but maybe during the day as opposed to a Friday night, to avoid the crowds.

I went here last week on Pi Day since they had pizzas for $ 3.14. I was amazed on how efficient this place worked. It was fairly busy with the line just out of the door. The line moved very efficiently. My wait was probably no more than 5 – 10 minutes. You can choose from many different kinds of pizzas or build your own. They even have gluten free crust if you prefer. The pizzas are cooked in under 5 minutes in what looks like a wood fired oven(I could be wrong). Blaze’s pizza rivals most of the pizza places in the area. The ingredients taste fresh and the crust is nice and crispy. The pizza is about 11 inches which is enough for a hungry adult or for 2 – 3 kids.

I had never envisioned a «fast food» pizza place but Blaze nailed it. They created my pizza, cooked it and boxed it in less than 10 mins. I wanted to get away from the typical red sauce pie, soI ordered the White Top that comes with white cream sauce mozzarella, applewood bacon, chopped garlic, oregano, arugula(i added mushrooms). And it exceeded my expectations. All the ingredients blended well together and it was tasty that my 6 year old is constantly asking when are we going back for it. They don’t deliver outside of the mall, but we don’t mind visiting a store or two(or the playground) in the mall before heading home to enjoy our pie.

The pizza from Blaze is quite honestly the best«fast food» pizza I’ve ever had. There were plenty of options and the pizza itself was really tasty! I ordered the White Top off of the Signature menu on a gluten-free crust(it was $ 3 extra, making the pizza about $ 11). My only real complaints are about the restaurant itself. We were there on a Saturday and it was PACKED. There was no space to sit — I had to basically run to a table the second a person got up — and the tables are so smushed together, I nearly knocked someone’s drink off their table. Also, their tagline says their pizzas are done is 180 seconds. That is most definitely a lie! Our pizzas took at least 10 minutes from prep to finish. Other than that, I’d say I’d return(but probably only on a weekday!)

Came here shortly after it opened with my fiancé for a quick dinner, and had a really nice experience. The food was good, employees were friendly, and it was a nice vibe. This place is fast casual– you tell them exactly what you want as you walk through the assembly line, and your pizza is pretty much done by the time you pay. You begin with crust: regular or gluten free. The girl in front of us asked for gluten free, and the employee quickly asked«allergy or preference?». She looked annoyed, but I appreciated it– those that actually have celiac can get their food cooked safely, and those that go gluten free because it’s trendy or because they think they’ll lose weight(pro tip: it’s all the processed food, not whole grain wheat, that’s making you fat) will still get their way, but at less effort for the restaurant. Sorry, I digress, but I was amused and happy at the question! You then go through sauces and toppings. You can pick any toppings you want. More than one topping up to infinity is one price. Note that because the pizza is cooked so quickly, it’s better to exercise some reserve with the toppings so it gets cooked thoroughly. After the pizza is ready, you can get a finishing sauce– oil, pesto, etc. The food was good enough that my fiancé sent me a photo of a pizza there about a week later when I was out of town. From him, that’s a strong recommendation!

What a great addition to the Old Orchard Mall! It is situated right near the children’s playground and across from Anthropologie on the north side of the mall. I came here on a weeknight so it wasn’t too busy. I love the fact that you can build your own pizza for only $ 7.95 with as many toppings as you desire. Now do mind that you don’t go overboard, because then the pizza can get a little soggy from the«load». It’s a great thin crust pizza so they fire it up in the wood burning oven and it’s ready in less than 5 minutes! I had Italian sausage with the spicy red sauce, mushrooms and Jalapeño peppers and it had just enough kick to it that I didn’t need to add any red pepper flakes. It was scrumptious and I shall be back!
