Clean environment and no wait time or appointment needed. However, the haircut itself was pretty poor. The gentleman who cut my hair did not listen to instructions and literally shaved into my frontal hairline without the gaurd — looks like I got into a fight with a lawnmower. Will need 6 weeks to recover from this one.

I have been coming here for the last 20 years and I’ve never been disappointed with my haircut and not much is changed. That is because they already have a good thing going. Great haircuts, great service at an affordable price. I have tried many of the barbers that work here and they all do a great job, however Nick is by far my favorite. He does a great job will never disappoint. If your in the Solana area get a cut with these talented barbers.

I have been getting a haircut here regularly here since March last year when my wife and I moved to Solana Beach. I was lucky to get Tim first up and he has continued to be my choice… because he does a great job. He’s quick, efficient and listens to how I want it cut. The price of $ 21 is very reasonable considering I end up looking like a million bucks. Remember it’s cash only here and there is no need for an appointment because they keep the line moving.

I’m in from out of town for a wedding, and wanted to look good and get a straight razor shave for the first time in my life. The place I planned to go to was unavailable so I tried here. Normally I’d need an appointment, but as it was short notice and I was going to a wedding today they took me in. Got a nice shave and look good for the wedding.
I appreciated them accommodating me on short notice. I was very pleased.

Got a great haircut from Tim, I think it was. He used shaving cream and a straight razor at the end. It was a great cut. I really enjoyed it.

I waited only 3 – 5 minutes. Sandi was my barber. She was terrific. My hair is very hard to cut because I have your typical Asian hair (i.e., very thick and very black, thus if you mess up, the mistakes are very easy to spot).
It was clear to me that Sandi takes great pride in doing a thorough job. The straight razor shave of your sideburns and back was a nice finishing touch. I do think $ 18 is quite high. Then again, I did tip her $ 5 so I guess it was a $ 23 haircut in the end. But, I’ll be going here regularly from now on.

Took my 2-​year-​old son to get his haircut here today, and it was the first time he didn’t scream the whole time. They were friendly and made him feel comfortable the whole time. The haircut is an adorable «boy» cut, which is exactly what I asked for. I have been to other haircut places, that are specifically just for kids, and they weren’t friendly, he cried the whole time and they did just an ok job on his cut. I definitely will bring him back here next time.

So… I just went in for my third haircut with Tim and for the third time in a row he did a great job! I’ve been bouncing around barber shops for the last couple years, but have finally found a spot I can stick with. TIm always takes his time, is very detail orientated and finishes with a great haircut. Many of the other barbers I have been to leave stray hairs, do not take to time to trim the sideburns or leave me with a cut that looks shaggy in a couple weeks. Not this place!

I highly recommend this barber shop as I’ve gone to some new sport themed barber shops in town. They were lacking in a tailored approach. I’ve been going to this venue for over 8 years and I’ve been very pleased. Please go see Sandy as she is very precise in her cut and is very thorough in her approach.

I’m thoroughly pleased with either Ted or Sandi at Solana Beach Barber Shop. They’re quick and talented. The locks can be shorn, without looking like a cue ball, for about $ 20 (including tip).
I have had few experiences with the other barbers in the shop as I prefer Ted or Sandi. They are open on Sunday which is something you don’t find too often.
