Really succulent seafood for an affordable price! It definitely hit the spot when I was craving seafood but didn’t want to go to a sit-down restaurant. Plus, it’s family owned and everyone was really nice.

Wow!!! Fresh, tasty delicious. The staff is friendly and prices are competitive to the market. Portions are large, and well balanced. I will becoming here often. I happened to stumble across this place just driving thru. Parking is tuff, but manageable. It looks like they do a lot of takeout, so we will try that later. The place is clean and reminds me of a deli but only fish. Menu has the perfect amount of choices, it’s mostly fish. Nice job

I used to drive 30 miles to Newark for places like this. Not anymore. Picture a seafood market, but with dine in and take out options. Everything is brought in fresh and made to order. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended and will be back.

I like the new layout they just recently did to their dining section. Their butter sauce is to die for! We usually get the lobster, shrimps and clams. Sooooo tasty and fresh. The sauce can be a bit salty for us but we usually ask them to lower the salt for us. It does take a bit time to cook up these perfections, but calling in the order ahead helps! The service is great, price is average to above average, but for seafood the price is good and worth it, for the taste!

Two friends and I were in the area for the weekend and looking for a non-chain seafood restaurant for dinner. We found this restaurant fairly close to our hotel. What fun! Staff was really friendly and helpful. The food was delivered fresh out of the steamers and fryers with with any and all sauces we wanted. The place is mostly for takeout, so we weren’t expecting anything fancy at the tables, and indeed we were served in takeout containers on a tray. But tasty, plentiful and enough to share with friends.

Crab house is the Chinese restaurant of seafood. It’s mostly steamed fried food and the fish is fresh. It’s better to take out than dine-in. I got the stemmed red snapper, it was ok. The flavor is a little bland. My husband got the shrimp and lobster combo and the lobster was ok but the shrimp really good. We didn’t have the fries but those looked really delicious. However, they were EXTREMELY accommodating. I’m on a very strict diet and they were willing to go above and beyond to prepare my food as I ordered it. Good service and family owned makes for a great business model. It’s a nice stop for someone who is looking for a healthy, or not, casual lunch or dinner. I would return but I’m not itching to go back.

The food here is awesome!!! I had this place bookmarked for a few weeks now and I decided to finally give it a shot for lunch today. And WOW, thank god I did! I cannot wait to go back! This place was very clean and the gentleman at the counter was very helpful and friendly. I ordered the steamed shrimp+scallops platter(comes with 2 sides) with the shrimp fried rice and mixed vegetables. My coworker ordered their lunch special which was the fried shrimp+scallops+crabsticks platter that came with onion rings and seasoned fries(choice of reg or seasoned). We decided to dine in so we placed our order at the counter and took a seat at one of the tables in the restaurant. There are a few tables scattered throughout the restaurant(clean tables and comfy chairs!) for dine in or takeout is available too. We saw a bunch of customers leave before us, heading back to work with takeout containers. We tried the fried platter first… yum! The seafood was fried perfectly… light and crispy! It was very clear that they use panko bread crumbs to get the light and airy fried seafood. The onion rings were okay but the seasoned fries were delicious and accompanied the seafood perfectly! The guy at the counter was nice enough to give us a little bit of each sauce for our seafood — tartar, cocktail, ketchup, hot sauce. Onto the steamed platter… what a show stopper! The shrimp and scallops were cooked in a combination of what seemed to be butter, garlic, and bay seasoning. It was delicious!!! My friend and I could not get enough of the sauce! The fried rice was okay, I would probably order another side of veggies in the future. I tossed the veggies in with the butter sauce, it was so good! We agreed we would probably order two steamed platters going forward… we could not get enough of that amazing sauce! Seafood seemed to be quality too, it was cooked perfectly! This place has definitely been added into our lunch rotation. Food was superb and service was excellent! Restaurant was clean and inviting. What a great find :) Note: Street Parking or parking in the small lot across the street(by the chinese restaurant, Domino’s pizza) *Edit: tried the stuffed clams and mussels for the first time and wasn’t impressed. The filling was a weird combination of imitation crab meat, broccoli and cheese? There was too much cheese and it consumed all the delicious shellfish. Wouldn’t order it again, so I’ll stick to their fried and steamed platters!*

Discovered this place over the weekend. They opened about 3 months ago. Super nice family that runs it. Immaculately clean inside, although it’s got more of a take-out kinda vibe. Nice specials — I had the 2lb snow crab legs w/2 sides for $ 21.99. You can add 3 jumbo shrimp for an extra $ 3. Veggies were ok but the seafood was on point! Loved the seasoning, a little bit on the salty side so as long as you’re in the mood for that… Definitely looking forward to returning and trying out some other stuff. Welcome to the neighborhood, guys!

After a single visit, I know this will be my go-to place for all things seafood. I had the lunch salmon steam with a side order of the jumbo shrimp(by recommendation), and it was fantastic. Perfectly cooked and the seasoning to match, I have not enjoyed fresh seafood this much as long as I can remember. The staff are super friendly and very helpful with any questions I had. I can see this place becoming very popular and crowded during lunch, but as much as that would inconvenience me, I want to see this place do well and continue to serve awesome seafood. My only regret is not having an appetite big enough to try all of their offerings in one sitting, but I will definitely be back! Their prices are very good for fresh seafood and although you can find slightly cheaper options in the area, save up, and try this place. You won’t regret it!

The seafood is very fresh! I had the steamed shrimp and scallops… I’ll definitely be back soon to try their other menu items. the crab looked goood. I have to say their prices are really resonable and fair for seafood. They also have a lunch menu! I work around the corner and I was able to eat here and get back well under an hour. I’ll update my review once I’ve tried more of their menu items.

Small space, but not claustrophobic… about ten 2-seat and 4-seat tables, well spread out. Standard strip mall décor, order at the back counter, wait(a very short period) for your food, served on styrofoam. Place is clean and neat. Staff extremely friendly and patient. Very clean unisex restroom… you will need to scrub your hands after assaulting a ½-dozen blue claws. Not many customers on a lazy Friday afternoon. For Mrs I(the crab goddess) ½-dozen(serving had seven!!) steamed, large, male blue claws, and an extra cost side of fries for a very reasonable price. Crabs were deemed very fresh, «perfectly steamed», and had a nice, if slightly mild, house seasoning. I opted for the more pedestrian steamed platter, with shrimp, scallops, buttered corn and shrimp fried rice. Loved everything — there was nothing«pedestrian» about it. Again, perfectly fresh, cooked and seasoned. A nice little puddle of seasoned butter under the shrimp and scallops. Drinks are selected from the ice boxes, and they have a nice selection of soda, teas and bottled waters. As retirement looms, I can see where Friday afternoon at Cherry Street may become a mandatory activity.

After my first visit here, I already knew that this would be my new go-to restaurant to satisfy my seafood cravings. The restaurant is take-out style. You can either call in your order in advance, or you can place your order at the counter and wait for your food. They have somewhat limited seating(around 6 – 8 tables or so), but you can eat there if you want. The staff behind the counter is very friendly, and they’re always willing to answer any questions you may have about their food. The menu is fairly straightforward, and they have daily specials as well. I have only been here two times so far. Both times, the food was immaculate. Their steamed seafood platters are just incredible, and I can’t wait to try them all. The seafood is always fresh and steamed perfectly. They use an ample amount of seasoning, and the flavor of the seasoning is both delicious and addictive. The steamed platters come with two sides, and they really help balance out the meal. My favorite side is definitely the butter corn, but the potatoes are a close second. I was also able to try the raw oysters. They tasted as fresh as I hoped they would, and some of the oysters were gigantic! They charged $ 18 for a dozen oysters which seems to be about the standard price in this area. They also asked us which condiments we wanted with our oysters(horseradish, cocktail sauce, and hot sauce available) instead of deciding for us like some other restaurants do. The prices here are very reasonable by seafood standards. They offer frequent visit cards as another incentive to stop by(as if the amazing seafood wasn’t enough). If you come here 10 times, you get one steamed platter for free. The amount you pay during those 10 visits is irrelevant, so this deal is obviously more beneficial for someone who only comes here for the lunch specials. It’s less beneficial for someone who makes large orders every time they stop by, but it’s still much better than nothing! I haven’t tried their fried foods or their Korean BBQ yet(intended for people who don’t care for seafood), but I plan to eventually. This place seems to be doing everything right so far, and I can imagine it getting really popular in the future. The food at this place is so good that I basically start to look forward to my next meal here the moment I leave the restaurant. I will be back very often, and I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Came here on a Unilocal search because our parents are staying in nearby hotel and my dad loves crab. Got here around 8pm on a Friday night and there are tables available. I wish I had the stomach to try everything because everything looks amazing. We ordered a dozen of large blue crab, they are seasoned just right and cooked perfectly, so fresh and so tender. The steamed clam is a bomb and I wish I had the dozen all for myself. We also got loaded clam & mussel, they were also good but I prefer the simply steamed ones where you could really taste the sweetness of the clam. We also had 3 steamed platter — flounder, tilapia & salmon. The portion is generous with 2 sides. Oh and we also had fried calamaris, which normally is my favor but amongst all the freshly steamed seafood it was just alright, I would trade it for any steamed clam or mussel. Too bad it’s an hour from where I live or I would’ve had serious cholesterol concern.

Have visited here twice since they opened a few weeks ago. Nice menu. Not fancy, probably more of a fresh seafood takeout. Food was very good and the staff was very pleasant. My wife had a small lobster and she loved it. They also did such a nice job cracking it, that she was able to eat it with a plastic fork. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

If it’s seafood you want then it’s seafood you get. Everything is fresh and delectable. I had the steamed Maryland blue crab and the crabs were really fresh and the seasoning is just amazing. I will definitely be back for some raw oysters and the steamed salmon!!!

I am a seafood lover and if you are also then you should visit here soon. Those fried shrimps and scallops and etc. are just addictive, oysters were very fresh and so were clams. Those snow crabs with that seasoning were also delectable. The food is sold at very fair price, and the quality is certainly the best and competitive with more high priced restaurants, if not better. I am going back soon when those blue crabs are in season.

Food is great!!! Steamed items are seasoned with their own special seasoning and it’s to die for! They have oysters, clams, crabs, lobsters, shrimp, almost everything that comes from the ocean. They even have Korean BBQ which is the best and totally unexpected, especially from a seafood joint! People are great, service is great, and most importantly the food is awesome!
