The food is fresh and and full of flavor! My husband and I stopped in one evening and had a good experience. Nice selection of authentic Thai food cuisine! We have been to many other Thai restaurants in the Daytona area and this one seems more rustic and less showy, like a real home kitchen cook style. We started off with an order of Crab Ragoon and was very impressed with the freshness of the REAL crabmeat and generous amount. Most places use imitation crab meat but you can definitely tell the difference here. I ordered the Jasmine hot tea and my hubby ordered some hot saki which came in a nice carafe. For entrees I had the Shrimp Curry and he had the Mango Coconut Curry, both were right on point with spicyness and flavor. Overall it was a great experience and will probably stop in again or order take out as the atmosphere was a little outdated.

One of the worst Thai meals I’ve ever had. We were the only customers at the restaurant but for some reason service was extremely slow. All of our dishes had issues with them: bones in the chicken, shells on shrimp, overcooked noodles, rice that tasted like paper, and curry that tasted as if it was flavored with condensed milk. Would not recommend if you are looking for a decent meal.

I love Thai food and travel a lot. I always seek Thai restaurants in the areas I go. I have visited Songkran Thai Restaurant several times and have always been impressed with the wait staff and the food quality and taste. The Chicken Garlic in a mild heat range is very tasty and served with broccoli which is cooked perfectly, not soft and gooey. The Chicken Kra Prow is the best flavored I have encountered. The portions are good sized and prices are very reasonable. Stop by, I did, you will not be sorry.

We ate there last night. The food was awesome and the owner is just the nicest lady EVER. We enjoyed chatting with her and will definitely go back anytime we’re in the area. I had garlic chicken and my fiancé had Kra prow chicken. They were both perfect as well as his thai coffee. I highly recommend this establishment!

I’m very disappointed. I wouldn’t suggest that place. Very little meat and noodles for the price. I had ordered beef pad ce ew with extra vegetables(you can count how many broccoli there were), chicken pad Thai(I barely saw any chicken) and chicken curry(small bowl) I suggest you go elsewhere for the price and quality.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had! I don’t advise coming here. Staff was rude and my meal tasted like shit. If you see the pile of puke out front you’ll understand why. I’d be happier if I went to McDonald’s. DON’T COMEHEREANDWASTEYOURMONEY!!!

My boyfriend and I go here at least once a week. The food is always absolutely amazing. This is, by far, the best Thai food place in the area and nothing even comes close. The food is cooked to order and always comes out in a timely manner– my favorite menu items are the Pad Se Ew and the Wonton Soup :) The sweetest girls work here and Su is the BEST :) We recommend this restaurant to everyone we know!

Nothing special, but the price was right. My experience was exactly what I would have expected for a $ 15 per person(drink and appetizer) Thai restaurant. Our server was very green but enthusiastic. She kept getting little things wrong, but was so nice it did not bother me. Only issue is that the menu is not very kid friendly. My 9&12 year old have eaten Thai but had to go with what they new from basic Chinese restaurants. No kids menu at all, but that is not a real issue for me.

Some of the best Thai food be had in the States. This is real homemade food. This is like eating at grandma’s kitchen — if the makings weren’t available at the market, don’t expect to get it served even if it’s in the menu. Big portions, and prices are very reasonable.

I’m not from this area so I used Unilocal to find this place. I did not find that it matched the reviews at all. First of all, decorations were cute but overall place looks a little run down and dingy. That often times doesn’t affect my opinion but somehow the food was like the décor… only a ghost of what it should have been. They had a special for summer rolls which were almost completely tasteless — had to drench them in the peanut sauce it came with. The bf got pad thai, also very bland. It was just noodles, sauce, and bean sprouts and a tiny portion at that. Had to add a ton of chili to make it palatable. I got green curry spicy fried rice which was actually decent, but not enough to earn any repeat business from us.

Service was really slow. It took the waitress sometime to come get our order. Worst part is, it’s not even a busy day! We ordered two entrees; prik kang and mussel curry. The food was alright, nothing spectacular. The rice that came with the two entrees was a portion for one, when it should’ve been a portion for two. When we ordered more rice, the waitress informed us they’re out of rice and is now cooking some more. That explains the unreasonably small portion of rice. Unbelievable! Regretted my decision for our last meal in Daytona beach.

Wonderful place to eat. Everything is cooked to order so be prepared to wait but there service is great, always very friendly and the food tastes great. I always get the coconut soup, that stuff is so addicting.

Best not to be in a rush when eating here; service is very relaxed and slow paced. Great place to go with a group or for a date. Owner is wonderful and the food is super!

Completely empty at 5:30PM on a Wednesday, not a good sign. My mother, wife and myself were greeted the second we walked in and got to pick where we sat. The dining room was very dim and had easy listening music playing. There was lots of small lights hanging in random places through out the room. The menu is completely different than the pictures that are posted here. Tons more options. Mother ordered summer rolls for an appetizer for us all to share, then the pumpkin curry for her meal, my wife got the steamed vegetables and I ordered the vegetable curry with fried tofu. I ask to make it spiced as little as possible and our waitress brought out a spice rack just incase I wanted to put more spices in it myself. I’ve had a lot of curry in a lot of different Asian restaurants. But never have I had one bring out a spice rack for me. Summer rolls came out very timely. Our waitress explained to us how to eat them. «Use a spoon to apply the sauce. Do not dip or everything will fall out.» We were all aware, but I’m guessing she was use to fat rednecks coming in there to eat. Too use to dipping their chicken nuggets in ranch dressing or corn dogs in mustard. They’ll be instructions on how to use eating utensils in these type of restaurants soon. Entrees took about twenty minutes to come come out. Plates, bowls and silverware were all very clean. Dishes themselves looked amazing. My vegetable curry was a tiny bit spicy, but I think it was unavoidable. Still tasted very good but it could have done without the summer squash. I tried some of my mothers pumpkin curry and it was very sweet. I’m definitely going to try that when we return.

Unilocal, how dare you forsake me!!! Well this place was not knocking it out at lunch. I should’ve heeded my gut feeling about two cars in the parking lot at lunch time. But alas, not many options around that sounded better. For $ 6.95 you get a salad and your lunch entrée. Let me start with the poor, sad, salad. It was three broken off pieces of iceberg lettuce, a few shaved carrots, an industrial unripe tomato wedge, and a light vinaigrette. WHYBOTHER?! The lunch entrée ordered was the pad see-ew with tofu. Well, when it arrived, it appears that they may have been out of black bean paste and decided overcompensate with tons of oil and a ridiculous amount of salt(possibly MSG, but I’m not for sure). Overall, blah and blech. My quest for a pad see-ew that is even considered serviceable continues on the East Coast.

For starters we chose Thom Yum Gung soup and spring rolls. A very popular item and served with their house plum sauce, Songkran’s spring rolls were notably a cut above your average rolls so consider ordering several. Both the soup and the rolls were great. Our entrees for this visit were Pad See Ew, Red Curry with rice and Shrimp Pad Thai. All were very good. The service was good even though we arrived during the peak of the lunchtime crowd. They do offer lunch specials starting at $ 6.50 and they have a wide assortment of Thai entrees as well as the standard appetizers, soups, curries, etc. Beer and wine are also available. Songkran is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday and dinner service only on Sunday. They are closed on Monday. «Life’s too short for bland food, bad wine, weak coffee or cheap whiskey. This was my first foray into Thai food… and it was excellent! We went at 7pm on a night and had plenty of time to eat before they closed. The décor was nice, it was nicely lit… only thing I had to say is that the waiter was a little creepy, needs to talk a little more, seemed like he was really shy or something. We started off with some vegetable tempura, basically just some fried mushrooms, carrots, zucchini, and baby corn with a side of some clear, sweet dipping sauce. It was excellent! Next came the main course. I got the Chilli(their spelling) Jam Chicken… it was chicken and vegetables in a spicy sauce over rice… I don’t know what was in the sauce but it was great! Very peppery(in a good way) with a good bite to it. Girlfriend had Pad Thai noodles… some very fine noodles with chicken and some kind of sprout things on top, and it was really good too! I finished my meal and ended up stealing a good portion of her meal as well. Not the fanciest Asian restaurant you will eat in, not the dumpiest, but when we got the check we were very happy — $ 35, 20% tip included. We will definitely be back!

Ask for the Summer Rolls. They’re not on the menu but they are great! Songkran is my favorite Thai restaurant in Florida, tasty, and very friendly, at a reasonable price. Panang curry is the best dish here.
