Over the years I’ve stopped here on occasion and alway found the food and service to be consistent and efficient. One of the few place in the area to get ethentic greek food.

No complaints good food and quick service. Friendly and order is right just about all the time. A plus in my book for pizza and the $ 10 salads.

I have returned to eat here about three times since my last review. Owners must have took my advice, new carpet, new look. Food has been consistently good as well as the service. Great specials for lunch, 5 $ cant beat it. Fish and chips is real good and nice dinner specials that change every day. I will be back to enjoy this place.

Disgusting food and awful service. Parthenon is straight out of the ’90’s. Fish and chips are full or batter and no fish, greasy fries. Wish this place didn’t exist so I didn’t have to drive by it.

Parthenon is okay. Let me just say, that you have to know what to order. Any italian dishes will be as good as most puzza places or a little better. Do not order anything deep fried. They put so much batter on it its ridiculous. The fried scallops are more like chinese chicken wings. The fried cheese the same. Limited beer choices. No IPA on tap.

Cheap food, a bit greasy /salty. Their menu confuses me and their décor makes it worse. I’ve been and it’s been pretty good and I’ve been and it’s been soggy and stale tasting. Hit or miss but pretty good sized portions for cheap. Take it as you may.

All in all, I like this place. My only complaint is that one time, my husband and I ordered the $ 5 pizza(nothing special at all) and when we got the bill, we had been charged $ 14.00 for it. The owner said we had to specify to the waitress that we wanted the ‘special pizza’. There was a bit of attitude given from the owner but all the other staff we’ve dealt with have been very friendly. Most of the dishes are fairly good but I’d stay away from the pizza. Overall, decent prices and good food.

I ordered a plain cheese pizza from here and it was mediocre. The crust was clearly pre-packaged frozen crust, the cheese was sour, and the sauce was watery. I would not recommend ordering a pizza from here.

We travel through South Hadley fairly regularly and finally stopped at the Parthenon for lunch. The place is clean but a little old fashioned, a real Greek diner. They had a «$ 5 Lunch Special» menu, so we thought, how could you go wrong? My wife ordered the fish and chips and could not believe it — great fish and great fries and even tasty home made cole slaw. And huge portions — she took enough home for dinner later in the week. I had the ravioli, and it was old-school red sauce and cheese, but still great and again, a large portion. The waitress was attentive and helpful. Our bill before tip but including tax and beverage came to $ 15. There is no better lunch bargain that I know of. We will be back.

The problem with parthenon is their food is inconsistent. I rarely have eaten here, usually just take out pizza, but when I have, I have noticed the staff is not super friendly, and seem overall bored. I have tried different things here over the years and the only order I actually enjoy is the Baked Potato Pizza, which isnt even on the menu anymore. You have to ask them to make it, which they will, but it is usually made inconsistently, sometimes it has ricotta cheese on it, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes the bacon is chopped up fine, sometime it isnt. you get the idea. They have good weekly specials, but thats about it.

I prefer to order out from this place. I have three dishes that I truly recommend. First any of the calzones especially because you can have them made up with your choice of fillings. Whatever you are in the mood for and they all come out good. From the appetizers I recommend the mozzarella sticks. These are a comfort food for me. I often crave them when I feel down in the dumps(women have ice cream I have these and just as fattening if not more lol). Finally I recommend the Tazekkie(sorry cant spell it) sauce and pita breads. Sorry I do not recommend the pizzas or the burgers. They greek gyros are okay(sorry again from New York originally and miss them from their).

Anyplace that has any dish known to man on the menu is, like the pizza I had here, no good in my book.

This is a great family restaurant with terrific Italian food and friendly service. The chicken parm is delicious! And the creamy salad dressing is my favorite. My girlfriend loves the cheeseburger grinder. Portions are generous and if you’re not looking for healthy food, this is the place to go!

I’ve been here a couple times with family. I’d describe it as an «I’m desperately hungry and don’t give a f*** what I put in my mouth» type of restaurant. The menu is huge, so you know your food definitely can’t be truly fresh-made(or at least, you suspect that). The food is okay, it’s just not… actually good. I usually order a calzone, which could feed 3 — 4 people.

Pizza is o.k., but my son really liked his burger. Service has always been good from the waitstaff, but sometimes the place isn’t all that clean(maybe they have an after hours cleaning crew that comes in and cleans instead of having staff do it?). Pizza sauce is spicy and the crust is fluffy(more like eating homemade bread than pizza dough). Like I said, the pizza is o.k. It’s perfectly edible, but to be honest, we went there last night because our options were limited by the later hour. This isn’t a place we will make of point of going to, because there are other dine-in pizza places that are better.

We went to dinner at the Parthenon last night and did not enjoy it one bit! We both ordered the whole belly clam dinner and boy were we disappointed when it arrived. We both got two whole belly clams and two bellys only on a huge plate of Fries. It cost us $ 15.99/each what a joke. We had a groupon so it did save us a bit but if we didn’t have the groupon both of the meals would have went back. We will NOT be back that is for sure.

Despite being in and out of South Hadley for the past 17 years, last night was my first meal from the Parthenon. I’ve always been a little weary of the cheesy décor and strip mall location, but I figure that any restaurant that has been in business that long must have it’s redeeming qualities, right? I was not disappointed. My partner and I ordered a Greek pizza and Gyro with fries for carry out. Both were delicious! The onions were a little undercooked on the pizza, but otherwise the sauce, crust and other toppings were delicious. The fries were crunchy and well battered, and the Gyro was very authentic. I’d give 5 stars if they delivered, but overall a satisfying meal. I will be back!
