Lively outdoor patio coupled with excellent customer service was just the beginning of our first, but not last, visit to this beach town eatery. The charcuterie starter, served on a Michigan shaped cutting board, created a lovely presentation. It was yummy, too! We each ordered a personal-sized thin pastry crust pizza. The crust was crispy to perfection and the toppings were appropriately portioned for the perfect taste in each bite! I loved the buffalo chicken pizza and my companion devoured the Margherita. The side salad offerings on this day were an interesting baby kale and a fresh arugula, both with light and tasty dressings. Try the strawberry basil lemonade or the house special Mojito… both were liquid pleasure!(We went back the following day!)

Excellent patio dining on a nice Michigan summer day. We especially liked Lauren, our waitress who was very helpful with great recommendations. The brick oven BBQ pork pizza was delicious– one of the best crusts ever! Thin and crispy!

We arrived at Brix on the last day of a wonderful weekend vacation when jumping off the highway for a quick bite. Unfortunately this experience was anything but quick, as the understaffed restaurant(which was less than half full) was in over its head from the get-go. It took 20 minutes before anyone greeted us, we never received refills for the drinks we were delivered after another 15 minutes, and the food we ordered took well over an hour to arrive. We considered leaving at a certain point, but reluctantly stayed. The food was just okay, but the service was the real issue. Other patrons were also vocal about this issue.

Great atmosphere and beer selection(with one cider on tap). Food was ok — bread and pizza crust were great! But toppings were nothing exciting.

Ok pizza, salads iffy. Even though hours to 11:00 they close at 6:00. Served a Moscow Mule in a plastic Cup for $ 8.00 I would call to see if open because fall hours changed.

We went during children’s hour and it was perfect for us with our toddler. We were visiting South Haven for just one day and needed to find an acceptable bite for all. Impressive menu. The Chile Verde Pork was the clear winner. I appreciated the presence of a kale salad, but the flavor was a bit anemic. Wood fired salmon did a lot to redeem it. The kids pasta seemed to use actual tomatoes in its sauce! Staff was efficient and friendly. They are clearly used to dealing with demands of family dining and I hope are tipped accordingly!

Enjoyed dinner here during family vacation. The outdoor seating is ideal for summer in Michigan. This would be a great place to take kids — there is an area with games and toys. All of our beer and food selections were tasty. The charcuterie plate could have benefited from more bread to finish off the delicious herbed cheese spread. Thin crust pizza isn’t my favorite, but the pesto topping was delicious. Loved the creative salad options — pesto, kale, and orzo.

We walked here from our beach house and sat outside. It was very family-friendly with a good beer selection. Most of our party ordered pizzas. I enjoyed the Pork Sriracha pizza and my husband had the BBQ Pork pizza, which was also delicious. Very casual, friendly and helpful servers.

Unfortunately, we were pretty discouraged by our visit to Brix and we will not return. We were excited to try out Brix the other day as we were passing through on our way back to Indianapolis from a visit to my parents in West Michigan. Brix had a bunch of outdoor seating and with two kids on a gorgeous day it seemed like a big win! Here is the upside to this place — very nice server, good beer selection and a bunch of outdoor seating. Unfortunately, we waited over an hour for our food — which consisted of two items — a margherita personal pizza and a roast beef sandwich. At a brick oven restaurant this should have easily taken 10 – 20 minutes max, but 55 minutes was a bit lengthy… especially with two little ones in tow. The margherita pizza lacked flavor and ingredients. The roast beef was so spicy from the gardinera that it was almost inedible. My husband tried to order the Rosemary Ham sandwich but they were out of the ham, we later heard they were out of bacon and tomatoes too. Lastly, both meals came with a side of orzo salad. This orzo was missing the feta and other veggies and instead was simply orzo and dressing — so it too, unfortunately, lacked flavor. Over all we were underwhelmed and expected that the experience would have been a bit different.

I think our biggest issue was our server. Waited over an hour for a flatbed with no attention to drinks. Once the food came, it was not the slightest bit warm. After talking to the manager, we got a warm flatbrwad that was tasty. Other diners at the same time would have much different experiences, but difficult with feeling good about this place.

3 stars seems to be appropriate. Decent beer menu. Apps and pizza were just ok. The pesto pizza had too much pesto. I enjoyed the tuna pizza. The 3 cheese was good for those that don’t like any other toppings. The charcuterie plate was an odd combination of cheese, olives, nuts, sweet pickles, and a small(5 slices) baguette. They have a huge outdoor patio, which was filled with families and small children.

Not impressed. Came here with family and others in our party never received their food without asking our server. We weren’t offered/given the salad we paid for with our pizzas. Our order wasn’t correct once we received it. We didn’t want to wait for a reorder, so we just dealt with it. We weren’t given any discount. Overall, will not be coming back here or recommending it to others.

The beer selection was good. The food was ok quick bar food. The pizza crust was pre-made flat bread. They say brick oven? I’m not sure way it took an hour to get a 9″ pizza with already made flat bread crust. They did apologize and nock 5 bucks off. The service was friendly. The place was clean and rest room was clean.

Great selection of beers on tap, and they will give you a few samples to try if you’re undecided on what you want. The pizza and salad were great– for salad I had the arugula and my husband had the kale, and both were delicious– light dressing with great flavor. The pizzas were flavorful and the crust was whole wheat which i didn’t expect, and the taste was excellent.

We stopped here because it was the only place that didn’t look that busy. The waitress said this place just opened in June. It’s one block from the main drag so that’s probably why. This place is pretty much all outdoor eating. ¼ indoor seating and ¾ outdoor seating. I think the building itself is an old filling station probably from the 1940’s. The menu is limited on foods. I was craving a juicy burger but thats not the type of food served here. I didn’t really read the sign before I came here [BRIXCORNEROVEN]. Mostly flatbreads and a couple sandwiches here. This would be a good lunch spot. The Cast Iron appetizer was SO good! I recommend that! The flatbread margarita pizza was also delicious! Small but filling!

I had the Spaniard pizza, which was very filling for such a small pizza. House-made chorizo was really tasty. I was a bit confused, though, as I went to look at the menu online and pizzas were $ 8.00 on their website. When I went to grab one via take out it was $ 10.00. Server was very nice, and I would love to come back and sit with my dog at their outdoor seating. It is usually pretty packed on weekends, so plan ahead.
