Baja Fresh

Zero stars here. Thanks to your brown wilted lettuce on my shrimp salad (yes literally brown and soggy at the bottom) I’ve been sick for two days. The mothas don’t care about getting people sick with the nasty shhhh they serve !! I’m reporting this place to the board of health and safety! And corporate

dependable. Also open later than most places in town. Which is helpful in this small mountain town. Try the fajitas at around 9 $ you won’t be disappointed.
Also the salsa bar is unlimited, so that’s helpful if you have a salsa livening wife like me. for some reason I also am atracted to the mango salsa.
Ask for extra chips

The restaurant was filthy, the floor, tables, bathroom, salsa bar… all were a mess. The rice and beans were completely dry. We are only in Tahoe once a year and last year when we ate there it was a clean pleasant experience. Mind you last year there were adults in charge, this year it looks mostly like teenagers and maybe a very young crowd. The place was dirty and I will never eat there again.

The food was very good. And the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The reason for only 3 stars is the windows were filthy, and the stores overall cleanliness was looked over in many places from the soda fountains to the walls and the floors.

This is the worst Baja Fresh I’ve ever been to. The food here is horrible, unlike other Baja fresh out there. The burrito was cold, the vegetables were not even cooked. The staff is also very slow.

Same delicious Baja Fresh! They don’t have many of these left in the Bay Area so I was pleased. If you need a recommendation, please do the Baja Burrito with Steak.
Why a 3-​star? They seemed to have just misplaced my order on the side. After a while, I asked what happened to my order #XX and the chefs were looking for it. They seemed to have just placed it on the side and forgot about making it. Came out right away after that.

I’ve been here one time and ordered the nachos, I really wasn’t a fan of those. Other than that their salsa bar is nice and the restaurant is spacious and clean

Yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy! My chicken quesadilla was amazing! Fresh and delicious. Guacamole was wonderful! Yum! Yum! Need I say more?!

Zero star! Our order was #49. When they were calling #60, my son’s girlfriend went to ask and they said the order is not in the system yet so we have to wait. But when they were already calling #91, I went to the counter and asked them. They blamed me because someone took our order. Is it our problem??? Definitely not!!! The worst thing is I didn’t even hear a sorry from the counter. That’s what you call good customer service. Being busy is not an excuse to day sorry. Had the people at the counter said sorry, this review would not come up.
Ruined our day at South Lake Tahoe. Never ever again.
By the way, why don’t they get the receipt of the customer before giving out the order. It’s that simple.
They don’t even know how to compensate customer for their mistake.

When your looking for that fast food with a little spice and freshness look no further then Baja Fresh. With no refrigerators all their food is prep to use. Price could be a lill steep but it’s overall it’s very worth the extra buck.
I enjoy coming here the Staff is really friendly and nice, Jacob is pretty awesome as a leader off the store. Next time your in Tahoe and stop by the freshness of Baja

My family was here for the night enjoying time together just before school starts and of the many places to eat we decided it would be a good fast choice to eat. The workers were nice especially lady that cleaned the tables but the food was anything but fresh. My fish tacos were horrible and my wife’s tostada was the same. Tasted like the fish was cooked in the morning, sat out all day until this lucky customer ordered them up. We were definitely disappointed after having eaten at a Baja fresh a couple times before.

Our food was very fresh, and the salsa bar was great! The portion sizes were bigger than expected if compared to Chipotle or Q’doba.
Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Decided to give this place a try, I can say it was okay. It would be better if workers actually didn’t stand around on their phones texting while a customer is standing there shouting and them ignoring.
But the BBQ chicken salad was really good.

I have been to other Baja Fresh locations before. I am a fan of the fresh food.
This location is different. EVERY dish for my party of 15 came out spicy, even salads. Sauces /​salsas are supposed to be added at the bar, so where did all the spice come from? Over zealous on the meat marinade?
Kids couldn’t eat. We went home and snacked on hotel food.

This place is clean and the staff was very nice. The food was super tasty as usual. I’d like the portions to be bigger, especially for the price but the ingredients are always top notch which makes for a tasty meal. I got the vegetarian burrito with steak and shrimp added and it was super yummy.
I would suggest this place to others.

I eat here often and always get the steak burrito. After a few bites, there was a problem. I brought it to the attention of the night manager and she handled it perfectly. She apologized and thanked me for bringing it to her attention. I got a different burrito and it was great.
The actions of this woman manager ensures that I’ll keep coming back. Good service it seems is becoming rare these days. Not in this case. I only wish that I could remember her name as she stands out as one of the best.
I give 5 stars for the actions of this manager.

In comparison to fast food Mexican such as Qdoba, Chipotle, Moe’s, and Taco Bell, I’d say that I like this the least.
The reason is because nothing was seasoned. The beef wasn’t salted at all. The black beans were chalky but they did have Some parmesan. The rice was over cooked. Someone needs to supply the chef with some spices!
They also don’t allow you to select your toppings a la carte. You only get to choose from preselected configurations. I could not get cheese or lettuce in my burrito with beans and rice.
Plus is that they use compostable dishware. For that I will add a star.

Great tasting and great value. The lime shrimp salad was large, flavorful and a bit spicy. Steak taco bursting with flavor. Full salsa bar. A fast food environment with fresh, flavorful food.

Awesome Baja Fresh location that’s really close to the village and casino corridor. I think one of my visits was actually only about a week or two after they opened up there back in the day. Friendly employees, no issues with service or wait time.

It was my 2^nd time going to Baja Fresh with my 1^st experience in 2012 not-​so-​great. I asked them if they had gluten-​free menu items and of course, their bowl is GF and the host told me that the steak in the GF bowl isn’t gluten free because of the soy sauce used for marination. I said WOW! because he actually knew THAT! I thought that was so amazing… for someone to know that detail was impressive to me. I don’t eat meat when I go out anyways so got the bowl with only shrimp and it was incredibly good! The flavor, quality of food, freshness of veggies, and size of the shrimp just won my heart. I definitely plan to visit Baja Fresh as a part of my regular «eating out» ventures.
