I’m from San Jose California, there’s a taqueria on every corner. This place is okay. Not good, not bad. Uploaded a picture. $ 16 for the 2 tacos + rice + beans & honeys large carne asada burrito.

I can’t comment on the lunch/dinner items, as I only ate breakfast. The breakfast burrito was pretty good, I would order it again. Good breakfast food for the price, Imo.

The food in this place sucks. We had a burrito, a torta, a quesadilla, nachos and a sope. The nachos were stale. The meat was cold and had no flavor whatsoever. The meat was just sitting in warmers. They could have at least put it on the grill for a minute or two so that the meat was warm. My burrito and quesadilla were microwaved im guessing to melt the cheese faster. The torta was soggy. The horchata was warm and tasted rotten. Sope was ok not fresh though. I could keep going but just know that you have been warned. Eat here at your own risk…

Literally as soon as the snow started and the skiers showed up they jacked all their prices on everything up $ 1. Had a carnitas burrito anyway and there were more solid fat cubes in it than there was meat! Yeah we’re done here. Remind me to go to Baja Fresh or something next time.

«Real Mexican Food» is what it says on the window, well! I have had«REAL» Mexican food. I have it quite often. Although the meat was flavorful. Do NOT ask for salsa. What a joke! It was terrible. Green vinegar. The red salsa Disgusting! I could not understand the salsas but they were lacking in all sense of the word to be called«Real Mexican Food» and yet they were so proud. I got sick off it. So no I’m sticking with it was disgusting! Sorry.

The sigh says the Real Mexican food. We where a party of 8, after we all got our food one of our meals was forgotten. We had to remind the guy about what we order and since he did not give us a receipt we didn’t really know what we did and didn’t pay for. Also the restrooms are beyond dirty. The place does not look that bad but the bathrooms are nasty. The El pastor tastes like dirt, the torta bread was hard, over all the food is just ok not that great and they could clean a lite more. Will not be back, I’ve had worst but I also had way better

The food is great, I had a large carne asada burrito, with a large horchata, and it was okay. The portions were nice. The chips and salsa was good. The owner is very nice. The place itself however. not so nice. Firstly, the tables were really small, and I noticed a few were rather not tidy, however when I went to sit with my party, an employee immediately cleaned it. Another thing– when you have flies flying around everywhere in a restaurant, kinda scary! And spiders webbing down the ceiling, eek! Overall I just think that the place could use a little refinishing, but other than that, it was OK. I definitely prefer this to other taqueria’s on Lake Tahoe Blvd.

This might have been one of the first Taco places I tried when moving to South Lake Tahoe. Taco’s were good! That’s where I should’ve stayed, but when trying their lunch special that they were advertising plastered all over the front window. It consisted of Taco’s, Beans n Rice, and a Salad that sounds like a great dish right? Wrong! what I received was a dish that had a taco, two pieces of lettuce with a Tomato on it(salad) and beans that looked as if it was dropped out of a can not to mention the *Ding* from a microwave that my rice was heated in. An when questioning the cook what’s that noise, he mentions«I was heating rice up» he was trying to close early I guess.

I stopped for a breakfast burrito on the way out of town after a long weekend, and proximity to my immediate location at that moment won out over stars. I’m really glad I stopped in as the chorizo breakfast burrito I had was delicious! Everything was perfectly cooked and super-tasty. The burrito had plenty of chorizo and egg, just the right amount of potato and a bit of beans and cheese to round it out nicely; great spice, great flavors. The pleasant folk staffing the joint were very friendly, and I didn’t have to wait terribly long for my to-go order. I will definitely keep this place on my list for when I am back in the neighborhood and highly recommend it.

Got a veggie burrito. They didn’t have any veggies to throw in there, the rice was over cooked, and I found a STAPLE in my burrito. that’s right, a staple… Luckily I didn’t swallow it. Could be way better

Not a terrible place to grab food, but probably wont eat there again. Ordered a chicken and asada burrito. Both were wrapped with rice and some tomatoes. Very plain and barely any flavor. I asked for green or red sauce, they had none. Ordered chips and salsa, chips were plain and no salt. Salsa was the onky saving point of the meal, I slathered the tiny cups worth on my chips and burrito. Two burritos and chips came to almost $ 20– no thank you. Save your money, go get something better.

I always like to try different places and it’s my fault for not checking Unilocal first, but this place the Food had almost no flavor. You have to pay for the chip and salsa. No free refills. If you need to go to the bathroom, you have to go threw were the dish washer is and tell him to move over so you can go in the bathroom. Go to subway.

The Worst food I ever had in Tahoe. You are better off going to 7 – 11 next door. I ordered the $ 4.992 tacos with beans and rice. Food was flavorless and skimpy. Nothing like traditional taqueria where they flat top grill the food. This place just whips out food from a covered warmer. Want decent food? Basecamp pizza. There’s always a wait there for a reason.

Part of a center with plenty of parking. Chips and Salsa are complimentary and they are GOOD! Horchata is sweet. If you like it that way, you are set. Carne Asada Taco is very good. Carnitas Taco is good too. Al Pastor Taco is OK. Fish Taco is really good.

This place was very fast and easy to find. Next to the Subway near it. We were looking for something that would be quick and hit the spot right next to the hotel. This place did just that. Definitely take a look at this place. Fast and quick but decent food here.

Everyone knows the best place to find Mexican food is at the local«hole in the wall» so when I said I was craving Mexican the boys jumped on Unilocal to find a spot. After reading a few reviews the consensus was for Taco Taqueria. We found Taco Taqueria in a tiny lot next to 7-Eleven. The place is pretty small and there was only one guy working behind the counter. I started to have second thoughts since it looked like business had been slow for the night but there was no turning back now. I decided to try the lengua burrito. The burrito was a good size and meat was tasty but nothing really stood out. My boyfriend had the chilli verde combo, brother 3 tacos and friend a quesidilla. Everyone agreed the food was good for the price. Service was friendly and prompt. If your not looking for anything extravagant go in with no expectations and you might be surprised.
