Grand Central Pizza & Pasta

Had booked a party room at a local popular food chain pizza place only to be told when we got there that it would take 2 hours to get to our order. Called Grand Central Pizza and the gentleman who answered was very friendly and said he would get an order started as well as save the back room for us. We had a last minute party of 25 on a Saturday night, President’s day weekend at that. Pizza was great, wings, garlic coins, fettuccini pasta were great and my niece’s 4^th birthday ended up being a blast because of them! Service was great and they were very attentive even though the whole restaurant was packed. Thanks again!

We ordered the chicken piccata, Caesar salad with chicken & garlic cheese bread. This ran us about $ 40 which is a little pricey for what it was. The food was a pretty bland. Chicken piccata just tasted like Alfredo & the garlic cheese bread wasn’t very garlicy (is that a word? Idk.). Also, the bread wasn’t cut into individual pieces, but was just left whole.
We had the food delivered & it arrived within 30 minutes. But, they didn’t give us any silverware or napkins which was a huge inconvenience given that we were staying at a hotel (which they knew). Luckily, the front desk staff was able to get us some silverware and napkins from their restaurant.
Overall, I’d probably go elsewhere when in Tahoe again.

Ordered some Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken breast, onion rings, BBQ wings and pepperoni and pineapple pizza. The pasta tasted good and so did the wings but bomb onion rings are hard to find, and let me tell you, they have it! I love onion rings && theirs are easily top on my list! But the pizza I wasn’t in love with. It was perfectly cooked, not burnt, but it lacked in flavor. The only thing I really liked about it was the pineapple. It was the only thing I tasted.

3 words: NewYorkPizza. I really miss it so when I go here I get to have the closest thing in South lake tahoe. I usually order the special cheese Pie sprinkle with garlic and peppers and roll and yum! reminds me of the long cold walk home from the subway with a slice all wrapped in foil in my jacket to warm me up on my trek up queens blvd home.

Fast delivery, great price & delicious pizza!!! We are impressed!!! We will definitely order again!

I don’t know how this place has 4 stars… The server didn’t smile once. He was so rude. Took forever to even acknowledge us. Then he was super grumpy taking our order. We’re here to plan our wedding in the area and pick reception places etc. and I can’t believe the terrible service I’m receiving here compared to all the other restaurants we’ve been to down here. I work at a pizza place and I’ll never treat my customers this way. Better yet I’m a manager. It’s sad to see someone so bitter working in the customer service industry. Oh well. Won’t be visiting here ever again.
Just got home with the pizza and editing the review. I asked for a thicker crust. And I got like the thinnest crust possible. This is such a waste of a restaurant

Disregard the previous negative reviews. The pizza was excellent and the service was great as well. The BBQ Chicken and Pepperoni Pizzas are highly recommended!

This place is ridiculous. Pizza i ordered a hour and a half ago is still not here. Not to mention the phone guy is rude and how you’re not qualified for a pizza job I don’t know– but you’re not buddy. ZERO STARS DIDNT EVEN EAT THIS BS YET. WOWWWWE

This place is ridiculous called to order a pizza for delivery at 7pm and had to call and cancel the order at 9pm cause it still hadn’t been delivered called twice to check on order status and was told he’ll be there in 10 minutes and when I called the second time was told to he left 15minutes ago it doesn’t take 30 minutes to drive 3 miles.

I really wish I had read Carlo L’s review before bringing my family here. He was spot on with his warning. Clearly, all of the 4 star review are for people who wisely ordered their pizza for take out.
Let’s break it down:
–Interior: EEK. Rundown.
–I had to turn the lights on.
–There was no toilet paper or toilet seat covers in the women’s restroom.
–The arcade games kept eating the kids’ quarters.
–The pizza was incredibly greasy.
–Our server balked at splitting the check into separate checks for our large party, even though we were the only ones there.
The two stars are for the pizza that tasted fine, the good price for the daily special, and the arcade games that distracted our kids.

This was a tough one as the pizza is really good, however like other reviewers I think that management is severely lacking or non-​existent. While we were waiting for our Pizza some almost homeless guy walked in and filled up his cooler with ice and then walked out. We asked the server what that was all about and she said she though he lived nearby and that she didn’t really know. Then, as we are eating, the dining area gets overwhelmed by cigarette smoke as three totally strung out druggies enter the place, grab the phone from the counter and start making phone calls. These three really stunk and were just skinny nasty looking drugged out people. All the patrons were looking at the server and the druggies hoping the server would kick them out, but she did nothing and the proceeded to make more phone calls and hang out by the door waiting for someone to drive up… very uncomfortable.
Also, the mens restroom is falling apart. Sink coming off the wall, old soap bottle lying on floor empty.
Ownership needs to step up and hire some people to actively manage this place and keep it clean and keep the riff-​raff out because the pizza is great, but unfortunately I will not be bringing my family here anytime in the near future. We will go to Lake Tahoe Pizza Company from now on.

The pizza was amazing we had the 14″ pepperoni. It was very reasonable priced take out was less than $ 13. Plus, they were really fast.
