Very limited, and like a lot of places in South Lake, does not live up to its good reputation. Don’t come here if you’re looking for a more eco-​friendly selection of meat. That, along with never-​frozen salmon was my reason for driving to this small, out-​of-​the-​way market. I asked for organic beef, and the employee there told me you just can’t get that in South Lake Tahoe. That was so disappointing, I forgot to look for salmon. My husband asked if I felt okay about getting some other stuff, and he went ahead and purchased a couple of things. $ 86 later, I walk out with a plastic bag (outlawed quite some time ago)!

Orderd 4 lbs of cooked ribs while at the turn. Waited 40minuts and got raw unedible ribes for $ 33.00. No one could eat them because they hadn’t been cooked. Very disappointing.

My favorite place in town for steaks and fresh seafood! Always great service! On Fridays fresh seafood that is flown in. Halibut is on point every time I go, as well as prawns and scallops! I highly recommend this meat market to everyone!

Wanted to cook in the condo, something good without a lot of fuss. After looking at the Unilocal reviews, we decided to head to Overland Meat & Seafood.
They have a great selection of meats and fish, all of it looking like beautiful, fresh or fresh-​frozen selections. The staff was helpful suggesting items that would fit our criteria. We ended up with baby back ribs with barbecue sauce and twice baked potatoes, and we were glad we did. Yummy, little fuss meal. This place should be on your must-​shop list if you are cooking for yourself. Sure it is a bit pricer than the meat and seafood you’re going to get at Safeway or Raley’s, but my mom always said, «You get what you pay for.»

We poked our heads in looking for poke. It was a Wednesday, there was no poke. We perused the meat case, nodded in approval at the high quality meat offerings and continued on our way.

I’ve lived in Tahoe off and on for 52 years, but mostly on the other end of town– Therefore I never got down here much. That was a big mistake. This place does an amazing job and they have the absolute best quality meat I’ve ever tasted. If you love a GREAT steak, and I mean the best you’ve ever had– Go down and buy a New York or Ribeye at Overland. I promise you won’t be sorry.
